This everyone is why you do NOT bring phones on a coaster. Especially one that goes 73mph and goes out of control through the hills.

Photoshopped or not, that that is the funniest on ride photo I've ever seen!

If not photoshopped: That's a contender for one of the most incredible on-ride phoros I've ever seen!

If photoshopped: Still hilarious!

"So Six Flags is using phones for VR on their coasters. Lets try it here at Dollywood!"

Their VR attachment strategy seems much simpler. Probably reduces dispatch times and will work 100% of the time.

^ It was open but not listed on Saturday, so I wouldn't put too much weight on that. If anything, I would think they would list it as "CD" if it wasn't going to open (especially because it's now "officially" open).

Not surprising for the middle of the week in September.

I'm still surprised they are open so much during the week right now.

I think most parks are down to weekends only this time of year.

I was actually pretty puzzled by their operating schedule too. It looks like they're open every day but Tuesday and Thursday in September, then every day but Tuesday in October with the exception of Halloween which is a Monday. Then they're closed until November 5th where they switch to a Wednesday through Sunday schedule until December where they're only closed on Mondays until the 13th where they're open daily except for Christmas and Christmas Eve until New Years.

What... the... f**k?

Sounds to me like the park is in "technical operating schedule rehearsal"......the park may be subject to closure from time to time

I'd love to go there on a random weekday in Sept. or Oct., as I'd imagine the park is dead and lines are fairly non-existant!!

it has been exactly that way since at least 2012. They close for a week leading up to the xmas season that starts on Nov. 5th this year.

If it weren't for their shopping guest and show guest they would probably be closed during the week.. mostly older folks here today.. shoppers and show goer's

Anyone familiar with how the crowd level is in any given Saturday or Sunday in October and November? Or maybe even Friday?

I went the first weekend of November last year (first week of Smoky Mountain Christmas), and I don't recall the crowds being bad, but it was also a cold/misty/dreary day. But the crowds increase as the holidays approach, so take that into consideration.

HFE know exactly what they're doing. The schedule may seem crazy, but they've got data, and the days they're closed are days that would be very low attendance. SDC's schedule is always like that too.
