Yeah, that is kind of the problem with randomly bumping threads that have been dead for five years. It may not be relevant anymore especially with the poll that was attached to it.

 

But regardless, we can still ignore the poll and continue the discussion including those built recently. With that being said, out of all the ones I have been on, I would say Storm Runner.

My very bias vote is for Top Thriss Dragster as it is the only Intamin Accellorator I've been on.

The post below yours (and to be clear, this poster did nothing wrong) is another reason why polls of this type are flawed and useless. The moderators are not going to take time to update the choices. We are more likely to edit the original post to remove the poll altogether.

 

My very bias vote is for Top Thriss Dragster as it is the only Intamin Accellorator I've been on.

 

The only votes that really show the consensus favorite are from people that have been on all the options. Otherwise the results favor the more widely ridden choices that don't suck.

Out of the three accelerators I've been on, Storm Runner is by far my favourite.

 

It actually you know...DOES something other than go really fast and really high.

Top thrill dragster's my second favorite coaster, so I'd say that. I also loved Furius Baco though, I don't really see why some don't like it!

Out of the ones listed I would say Storm Runner as that is the only one on the list I have ridden (KK was down when I visited.) But what about Volcano/V2/Possessed/etc? Does that count?

I love Speed Monster at TusenFryd for the overall experience. It's a tough call between that and TTD for me anyways.

Speed Monster is a coaster that doesn't get mentioned often but looks like a kicka$$ Accelerator coaster.

I voted for Xcelerator. I can do multiple reps on this Intamin. I've ridden this one 62 times in 1 day , and it wasn't a full day. The others not so much.

It's hard to say having only gone on Top Thrill Dragster once while riding Kingda Ka multiple times. I voted Kingda Ka, but due to both rides having unique pros and cons they are pretty much tied in my rankings. Xcelerator (the only other accelerator coaster I've been on) has a much better launch, but I don't like the overall ride quite as much (it's very close, but slightly lower in my rankings).

I voted Top Thrill Dragster. Sure it isn't the best coaster, nor worth the wait in line at times. But, I love the drop/speed.

Storm Runner all the way. And not just for accelerators: Storm Runner has been my favorite steel coaster since I first went on it in 2005. The great thing about it is that it has a little bit of everything. The launch is insane (although not to the duration of TTD or KK, it's at the same intensity) the G's throughout the Cobra Loop and the top hat are intense, the airtime on top of the top hat and at the beginning of the flying snake dive is hard core ejector, rapid transitions at the end, and the flying snake dive itself is a brand new element that still hasn't been used on another coaster. Yeah, it's short, but it's just long enough so that you feel you have had a decent experience, but still short that you keep wanting more and more, so one ride just won't cut it.

Storm Runner for the win! It has everything that you look for in a ride, and every time that I get off I can't walk for the first few steps...no other ride has done that to me!

I found all of them to be fun, but Storm Runner just had everything. Nice launch, some good airtime on the top hat, and the flying snake dive.
