benzo41190 Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 ^ it hasnt been open since you were 10 I would have to go with Blue Streak or GASM at SFOG. Those two rides are very fun and produce some great airtime. Although Blue Streak has lost some of it airtime, it is still a fast paced fun ride. GASM, is another good one with nice airtime but never gets much attention.
ECZenith Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Any Superman Ultimate Flight, I was the only one in my party who enjoyed it alot. (SFGADV) That and any Intamin impulse coaster.
larrygator Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 I really think Silver Comet at Martin Fantasy Island is a great little coaster. I know Park Trips agrees
Ghost Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 The Flying Unicorn at IoA... if all so called kiddie, family coasters would be like that one... I can't halp it but enjoy it when on it....
the_rock401 Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Excalibur (VF): Fast, fun coaster that packs a surprising punch. Not many people get back to that corner of the park, though. Silver Bullet (KBF): While I agree this (sometimes) isn't the most forceful coaster on the premesis, you SoCalers act like this is the second coming of Psyclone. Come on! Towards the end of the night on Saturday @Solace, Bullet was pulling a lot of Gs through the helix. Great ride!
coaster1 Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Dania Beach Hurricane - Boomers (FL) Silver Bullet - KBF Big Dipper - Geauga Lake Blue Streak - CP Vortex - PKI Thunder Run - SFKK Cornball Express - IB Tig'rr Coaster - IB Ninja - SFOG
Thrillrider15 Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Any ride from Valleyfair! is underrated. I don't know why not many people pay alot of attention to Valleyfair!(or if it's just me), but it's a sweet park with lots of thrills! Yay! www.valleyfair.com
Thrillrider15 Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 And same with the Kraken at Sea World Orlando. Great coaster!
nemesis-storm Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 Overrated Rita:QOS - Alton Towers I still do not quite 'get' why so many people rate this coaster highly. First of all what a rubbish name. At least some of the other coasters at Alton Towers have names that kinda make sense or match the coaster well. Yeah I'd admit the launch is good if not awesome that however shouldn't make a ride good. People say how great the air time is at the end, yes there's airtime but airtime into the brakes is disappointing. Magnum XL 200 - Cedar Point One of Cedar Point's poorer steel coaster, I Think. Perhaps I was hoping more from it. I may even prefer Pepsi Max Big one at Blackpool to it. Underrated Any Maurer Söhne spinning coasters (The Xtended SC 3000 Version) like Dragon's Fury, Spinball Whizzer, Winjas, Tarantula. All of these are fun, enjoyable coasters, very re-rideable. You get almost a different ride each time, depending on how the car spins & at what place etc. Cornball Express - Indiana Beach. I had not really heard much of this coaster or the park before planning our USA 05 trip. But OMG what a fantastic coaster, those guys at CCI knew what they were doing.. Fantastic first drop .. Great airtime .. If you can at all can make it to Indiana Beach.. Go you will not be disappointed. Paul 'Sorry for rambling on & could of chosen many more coasters' Chapman
Devious Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Overrated: Top thrill Dragster @ cp Easily the MOST overrated launch coaster, ever. Storm runner owns it by a ton Underrated (lotsa): Wildcat @ hp: tons of airtime, and twisty too, not too rough Comet @ hp: airtime beast, just about every day Raging wolf bobs @ GL: BEASTLY, that tunring left-hand drop after the first TA packs a PUNCH X-Flight: godly Mean Streak @ cp: i find it fun Lastly, Thunderhawk @ GL: OMG, a non-crappy SLC? yep
DATman Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 I found mean streak to be really fun, but I wasn't really big enough for it to severely shake me. Overrated: TTD: Fun, but not amazing Manhattan Experess: 12 BUCKS FOR THIS????????? Underrated: California Screamin:A GREAT coaster, but no one ever really mentions it
Real Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 ^^^Couldnt Agree more about Cornball Express. I rode it first in the morning/afternoon with basically an empty train and back seat was great. It wasnt like OMG but it was enough that it jumped to my top 3. However, this last year I went at night on purpose because I had heard its far more intense. Plus I went on a saturday to ensure the ride had people on it and OMG the back seat was RIDICULOUS. The airtime almost hurt I was being slammed into the buzzbar so hard. Its a totally different ride at night and at night with a full train is carries unbelievable amounts of speed over those tiny hills. It was just simply amazing.
PhishyBrewer Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 3 words, but the same word Trokia Trokia Trokia

Which will utilize such a coaster system. And 98% enclosed with effects, too. Yum.
Reon Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Overrated *Beast. It was good at some time, but the brakes COMPLETELY kill it. It still has some moments, but its still nothing to me now. *Mean Streak. I used to envy this ride since my dad once knew Summers. After this year's trip to CP, I completely changed my mind...almost all the airtime was gone, and it was just SOOO rough >.< *TTD. I do like the ride, and love the sensations it provides, but yeah. Too short...especially after riding StormRunner earlier this year... Underrated *Vortex. Even after going to Hershy and CP this season, Vortex is still one of my faves. Sure its an old beat up arrow, but the air it provides is pure bliss, especially going down the innitial drop and the corkscrews (for best effect, remember to ride in back.) *Cyclops. I never see this ride discussed enough. Im sure Balder blows it out of the water, but still. There are reasons why you shouldn't ride this till your old enough to hit it in the back. In a word, this ride is PURE AIRTIME! Seriously. Over each hill, you get launched up into the air, and dont come back down till you're at the next crest. And dont even get me started on what you get when your going down the first and final drops... *HP Wildcat. Again, another ride that isnt discussed enough. Its twisted, moderately smooth, and filled with air. What more could you ask for from a woodie?
Luxo Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 The little street cars and trolleys around main street at Disneyland are underrated, IMO.
Milkchan Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 The Mean Streak is onw of the most underatted coasters ever! People says its very rough ,but if they go on coasters in other AP like Son of Beast for example, they would appericate the MS. Great parts about the ride: Very Fun A little rough spots in the coaster, this is pretty normal on a Wooen Coaster Amazing First Drop NO LINES!!!!!
