GAcoaster Posted March 14, 2005 Author Posted March 14, 2005 Being a park character is fun! In used to be (about 18 years ago) a famous rabbit, at a major theme park in New Jersey. It was cool, because I did all the commercials and appearances for the rabbit's 50th brithday, which was cool because I met the original animators (Chuck Jones and Fritz Freleng).
Space Freak Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Thats kind of odd that so many people on this forum did movie theater work. I have been a projectionist for 4 years now, at 2 different theaters. I currently work at a 17 screen theater, and at my last theater I was an assistant manager/projectionist before I quit. Thats so odd. I like it, you never have to deal with customers. I wouldnt want to do it for a living though. Currently, I am a student studying Mechanical Engineering. Almost done, one more year left. Yeah, its a lot of math, but hey, i think its worth it. So, if any of you feel like you want to be an engineer, I would be happy to answer questions. As for what I would do if money wasnt an issue, I would design space ships. Of course, its one of those dreams that I am pursuing now, so money really isnt a factor to me. Well, other than getting funding for a project like that. But I believe that if you find a job you love, you never go to work. Rob "Math rocks" D
Mind Eraser Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 I don't want to grow up! In fact, I wish I was 9 years old, living with Michael Jackson. -kip-
XLRBR Posted March 20, 2005 Posted March 20, 2005 I have always wanted to be a coaster engineer. I am planning to get an engineering degree in college. I know it's a lot of math, but it doesn't matter to me because I'm a seventh grader in an eighth grade algebra class(algebra 1A). So it shouldn't be a problem. But it's been my dream for quite a while now. --Davon "just changed my avatar!" Dorsey
RNRC Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Actor. I've already written a tv show. I'm trying to show it to all the people in the buisiness.

AndrewCT Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Oddly enough, I spread my life with four jobs, and I want to do two different ones later in my life. I'm an Accounting Supervisor by day, City Commissioner twice a week at night, bartedner on the weekends, and own a small business from home in my free time. I plan to move back to Maine in a few months, and apply for the Maine State Police. Once I sell my business, I'm going to put the money aside, and open a bar.
mcjaco Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 As for now, I'm an Aerospace Claims Technical Specialist. Sounds cool and really important...it's not. It's corporate nerd speak for claims adjuster. Basically, if someone slips, trips, acts like an idiot and falls in an airport that we insure, I handle their claim for damages. We see the true dark side of society. The morons that think they can do no wrong and someone is always at fault besides themselves, and they request hordes of money to "help" them. There's a lot of dumb people out there. When I was younger I wanted to be an animator for Disney or an Imagineer. My room was full of drawings and designs for rides, as well as, all my pratice sketches of all the Disney characters. One bad art teacher turned me off to it completely.....I'd love to go back and thank her. I kick myself everyday.
thomas2 Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Well I'm now in college studying japanology with a minor in economics so I'll probably end up in Japan working for some company (doing there economics). Dream job? Ride op of SD2K and earning lots of money for that job
coasterluver Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 I want to work for disney when im older (ive got it all planed out) but at the moment my job is a paper boy (not much i know but it gets me through my teenage years with alot of the new technolagy that my friends can't aford )
jynx242 Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Well... I started college as a Physics major - then decided that I hated math one day. I changed colleges and majors to Public Relations. During school I was a bartender/waiter for TGI Friday's and ended up being a corporate Computer Based Trainer for them. I was with them for about 10 years. I then went into Hotel/Restaurant management. Did that until it burned me out and am now in the Financial Planning / Services industry. If I didn't have to worry about money - I would go back to school to become a vetrenarian, or become a teacher. But - I do have to worry about money - so retirement / death planning (insurance) will do for me. david

FlippyTrick09 Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Of course, I would like to be a Roller Coaster Engineer. If I can't do that then I would like to be a Building Engineer.
Kalikala Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I'm a hotel front desk chick. I'd eventually like to make some semblance of a living off of travel writing & photography, though.
