Paradox Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Oh my lord that is so gorgeous! And Intamin claiming both the tallest inverting loop and the tallest non-inverting loop is brilliant! Wait, how would it be the tallest inverting loop if it's a non-inverting loop? I think I'm missing something here Intamin is going to be claiming the world's tallest loop in Wanda Hefei? this year.
KingRCT3 Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Called it. Although it has a weird shape, the twist is going to be very sharp!
DoinItForTheFame Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 I'm still interested to see what kind of trains they are putting on this coaster. If it is the rumored winged trains then that could make for some really unique sensations, depending on where you are sitting in the train, going through the non-inverted loop.
Coaster Hero Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Someone made a mockup of how the non-inverting loop will be like in NL2 [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] Guys, this is gonna be good . It really is MASSIVE and that quick transition at the top, with winged trains is going to be insane.
Nickstroberg Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Taron, Flying Aces, that hyper in China, and the accelerator at PA Ferrari Land.... Intamin is kicking some serious ass this year!!
DoinItForTheFame Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Intamin is kicking some serious A$$ this year!!
Ed Farmer Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 (edited) Nice, like a Maurer Skyloop only with less suck on both sides. Hopefully it doesn't come with dumb short trains like those do. Edited September 28, 2015 by Ed Farmer
dubaidave Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Not sure how it will look up close. I'm Dow. There on Friday so will try and get some pics. By the way that photo was from coasterfriends.de
TyRush Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 If this is a wing coaster I would say we will see 6 cars instead of 8. Who knows! Looks so amazing. Intamin twisty ontop of a loop

Judging by the concept art I found today it appears they may not be. Looks like this one might be non inverted too https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xta1/t31.0-8/12010743_1476748402630553_2362523325103389789_o.jpg

The whole switch track, multiple launch thing seems like something that Premier would do.

I guess this means that if this and Ferrari World are both non Inverting Lightning still has the tallest Loop?

I like how this non-inverted loop is shaped completely different from the Maurer/Premier ones!
Coaster Hero Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Lol that thing is anything but clothoid shaped .
RollerManic Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Yes, it defiantely has a wide radius snd turns late. The transition is pretty flat compared to other non-inverting loops of various companies.
Coaster Hero Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 ^Agreed, and it seems deliberate (I mean, it obviously is but it seems like it was done for my next point --> ). Something like this only adds to the evidence of winged trains.
kcurry11 Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I wonder how the airtime will fair on the top of that, it does not seem to have much curvature to it, it may be some extreme ejector, or just very little. It is Intamin, so I am betting EXTREME EJECTOR.
TCM Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 To be honest, I dig it! imagine the airtime you will get on that.
Coaster Hero Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 ^Oh, hey TCM. Didn't expect to see you here! Anyway, not only will the airtime be great, but the rotational lats you'll get in the outer wing seats is going to be crazy. I only wish Ferrari World was closer so I could go ride this thing!
gerstlaueringvar Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I think Maurer and Premier is using the heartline of a traditional loop while this one looks like it is twisting around a Junker/Monster style loop.
Coaster Hero Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 ^You're right, it does look like Junker's "wot" loop but non-inverted . Maybe there will be some hangtime involved!
