RCTfan Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Well, Soren and some other guys from Germany are back from our adventure at Wal-Mart. Sooo...here are some photos of our little trip. So, there aren't many photos, but how many can you take at Wal-Mart, honestly! Hopefully Soren will be getting a laptop soon so he can post his own trip reports. I'm sure there will be plenty more to come from him or myself! He got here safely after an 30 hour trip. He's not currently staying at the International Program housing (the Commons) because they are full. So, he's in the same complex I'm at. Well, enjoy the photos. From Soren and myself, BYE. Finally checking out all the goodies! Soren and Stephen getting some quality water, but NOT sparkling. We think our second photo came out MUCH better. Take 1: Mark, Soren, Myself the American, and Stephen
dubaidave Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Isnt the internet a wonderful thing? Its great to see Soren arrived safely.

dandaman Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 How long before Soren can move into the Commons? Glad to see you got there safely, in any case!
CoasterJunkie Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Have you been to Walmart too many times if you can identify the Walmart by the pictures?
CoasterEricHP Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Wow.. the Commons is full? That sucks! Is he at Vista or Chatham than? Or the one up by the Mall at Millenia with the Advanced Interns? Hopefully the poor guy wont be moved around much.
Hattuchili Posted March 15, 2006 Author Posted March 15, 2006 Hey guys, you have seen, I have made it save to Orlando. The flight was so long and I was so damn tired. First I flew from Bremen to Frankfurt, next Frankfurt to Atlanto and then Atlanta to Orlando! At the time we made the pictures at WalMart I was really near 30 hours awake! However, now I am glad, that I am here! The wheater is so good and warm! Okay I havn´t much time! I am still using a friends laptop! I am looking forward to buy one in the next days, then I can write more! --Sören P.s. Thanks Jeremy for driving as to WalMart and for the pictures! I am talking to you soon!
CoasterJunkie Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Welcome to Orlando Soren....You have gotten here during a nice dry spell..LOL... When do you start work? Well I hope you are enjoying yourself so far. Looking forward to your reports.
haiderodes Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 I'm probably too late, but be sure to go to the nice Wal Mart off of 535! Then Target's right down the road from there. They are MUCH nicer than the one by Medieval Times. I'm jealous, I want to move back down there ASAP. Good luck! Yeah, that Walmart behind Medieval Times is a zoo no matter what time you go. Leanne used to live a few blocks from that Walmart in the neighborhood right across the street from, "Give Kids the World" Sometimes, when we got hungry, we used to go over there and end up waiting in line for around 20 mins just to buy some snack food. Go to Target instead....(We are Target fans). Ah the Kissimmee Walmart...memories! We used to make our Wal-Mart runs at like 3a but it would still be busy. Did you know that location, as well as the "new" one are the two busiest Wal-Marts in the nation? I worked for a few weeks over Winter Break at one here in Henderson. They said ours was the third busiest in the nation!
waterviper Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Woo!!! Soren made it safe and sound!! Glad to see that you are having fun american style at walmart!! Cant wait for all the future Ptrs!!! Now we'll be on the same time zone and we can watch TV shows at the same time, lol. I hope you enjoy your year in the US and I hope you can stay longer. P.S. now we won't have troubles shipping chocolates to each other.

DerekRx Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Glad you made it over safely, Soren. Sorry one of your first experiences had to be Wal-Mart. I try not to go there unless the nearest Target is 2 states away. Maybe I'll see you in the next couple of weeks, but if not I'm still looking forward to your PTRs. Enjoy your time at the Mouse!

Hattuchili Posted March 18, 2006 Author Posted March 18, 2006 Hey guys, today I was at the Florida Mall and bought a laptop and camera! So, everything can start now! From this day I am able to write E-Mails and posts at TPR. I am so happy. This evening I had a big surprise! Julie (USRoadTripper) called me and asked me to meet at the entry of Chatham Square, where I am still living! She had a great present for me! I am sure she will post a picture later! Anyway, thanks again for all the nice words! I am so glad, that I made it save and everyhing is working fine! --Soren
