gerstlaueringvar
While waiting for Sky Car today at Mysterious Island, the man behind me said he has been on the coaster in Chimelong Paradise which has 12 inversions . His girlfriend said she has been on the SLC at Happy Valley. And they said they are the bravest couple in the world. Then, the girl hold on tight on the top of the restraint, the op told her to hold on the bottom of it, the girl said she feels safe in that way, she thinks the restraint may break apart She scream like the people in Scream(I mean the movie) while riding. The man hold on really tight during the whole ride. And they look like they survived on SAW when they got off the train. BTW, seems like I am wired because seems like ONLY me put my hands up on rides in China. And 95% of the people I meet thinks the INVERSIONS are the most thrilling parts of the ride. Where is the airtime?

mike541x
I partially blame SFNE for this. I over heard people saying the Great American Scream Machine is in SFOT while standing in line for Cyclone. Then I happen to stumble across this sign. Â Â Ha Come on Six Flags. Really?

Then I happen to stumble across this sign.  Ha Come on Six Flags. Really? Was this at SFOT or SFNE? Is this a sign that is telling about the ride behind it, or are there other signs including this one just pointing out things about installments that belong to Six Flags? Angry_Gumball
At CGA, they were selling Gold Striker-branded hardhats. Naturally we decide to buy some and walk around wearing them (equivalent to wearing Mickey ears at Disney for us) when some kids asked us: "Did you build Gold Striker?" Â Next one who asks, I'll tell them I'm maintenance and need to check some loose bolts
VinTheAttendant
^^ It's at SFNE in the line for Cyclone. They have signs like that for many wooden coasters in the Six Flags chain. For the most part, the facts are correct, but for whatever reason, Great American Scream Machine was given the correct picture, but given the facts for Texas Giant. If I remember correctly, I think that back when Six Flags still had Darien Lake, the facts for Predator were also for a different coaster.

simaticable
^ In line for Dare Devil Dive before we left due to a breakdown: Â "Everyone knows that the front goes faster than the back." Â I then ranted on for the next 5 minutes to the person in my group who said it how the laws of physics would be destroyed and that what she said was impossible. Angry_Gumball
When at SFDK last month, a ride op mentioned about how Medusa's faster in the back to all the riders onboard. I (sitting in the last row) couldn't help it but shout out "If it's faster back here, why don't we make it to the station before the front does?" Â I'm sure a lot of the GP at Gilroy Gardens had the same thought on Quicksilver Express as they all flocked for the last train. Wes
What's the point of arguing though? There is a definite perception that the back train on coasters feels faster than the front...there's no need to be Mr. Right and correct people when you understand the intent of their statements. Doesn't the back go faster in the same place as the front. Like with the bottom of a hill, the back does faster there in that location than the front. If that makes sense. azza29
^Say a train is cresting a hill: when the front car hits the top the train is losing momentum from going uphill and slowing, however by the time the rear car is at the same point of track gravity is pulling the train down, causing it to go faster. Hence why back cars have more airtime and feel faster. The front and back cars are never going faster or slower than each other at any point in time, however they can traverse individual points of track at different speeds. GigaG
SFMM markets Full Throttle's backwards launch a lot (2 forward, 1 backward), so it is no surprise that people watching it test think it goes backwards - over the "top hat" hill. Making it worse is the fact that from the vantage point of the construction site, where a large opening in the wall allows the public to see, it is almost impossible to see the "dive drop" (I call it is a Flying Snake Dive, actually) and therefore the backwards launch is obscured.
