Themonerd Posted March 15, 2016 Author Posted March 15, 2016 "Featuring scenes from several of King's stories, including The Shining and It, this dark ride would have featured a false ending. Riders would approach an unload platform and hear a spiel, then the lights would flicker, and a river of blood would pour from the doors at "unload" platform (a la The Shining). Pennywise the Dancing Clown would then emerge from the control booth to attack the riders, who would narrowly escape as their vehicle lunged forward." http://www.themeparkinsider.com/flume/201312/3813/ I can only imagine how frightening that would be to the GP.

Right because people that aren't obsessed with roller coasters scare more easily on dark rides.

Themonerd Posted March 27, 2016 Author Posted March 27, 2016 Project Gemini was supposed to be the billion dollar renovation of EPCOT. This is what Gemini would do to Future World.
SixFlagsAstroworld Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 (edited) THE ORIGINAL TTD! Edited March 28, 2016 by SixFlagsAstroworld
Themonerd Posted March 27, 2016 Author Posted March 27, 2016 The original TTD would've pulled the G-forces out of my soul.
coasterbill Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 The ORIGINAL TTD. This was always a spoof. I think Absolutely Reliable News and Rumors made it.
RollerManic Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Though, I have heard that Kingda Ka was going to have a loop but it was casted out because of the costs to build such a proportional loop to the tower. And that's how we got an airtime hill.
Password121 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Though, I have heard that Kingda Ka was going to have a loop but it was casted out because of the costs to build such a proportional loop to the tower. And that's how we got an airtime hill. "Airtime" hill. The Kingda Ka Nat Geo documentary is actually a pretty interesting watch. It discusses the options they looked at to differentiate it from Dragster. Most notably, they wanted two airtime hills but couldn't get it to happen.
RollerManic Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 ^I was expecting that. It is indeed a rather weak hill (though still evident). \ I got my information from that documentary.

And that's how we got an airtime hill. Now that would be truly awesome! I can only imagine a >300 ft loop

ericthewanderer Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 There was a Discovery Channel show about coasters made about 10 years ago,and they mentioned a ride that had been designed called the Golden Gate Thunderbolt:it was a coaster that used the bridge as the support structure and theoretically went like 200 MPH.Any chance of CGA or KBF building it?
Themonerd Posted May 23, 2016 Author Posted May 23, 2016 ^^ That's insanely impractical. I feel like this and the Morey Pier's GCI share too much in common.
