DerekRx Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Sidewinder at Hersheypark back in its opening year. SooperdooperLooper was closed that day, so I went from Trailblazer right to Sidewinder. Yes, its quite surprising that I somehow decided to ride another looping coaster after that.

tracy Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Silver Bullet @ Frontier City (Looping Star). It was my first coaster in almost 20 years. I was shocked by the peacefullness of being inverted...made the rest of the ride seem intense. My 2nd was B:TR @ SFSTL...not quite so peaceful.

pgathriller Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Greased Lightning at PGA. I was scared to death because it was the 3rd roller coaster I ever rode. My First was the El Bandito at Western Playland and then Grizzly at PGA. Two regular coasters and then a launched inverted coaster.

I think everyone does Scorpion because "it only loops once", while Python loops twice, and, so, seems worse. I also think it has a higher height restriction. The ironic thing is that Scorpion is actually more intense, although Python is quite rough.

Scaparri Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Hangman at Opryland (now Kong at SFMW) in 1996. Yeah, I kind of went all out as a first timer and went with the five-whammy. I was scared to death and hated heights but the thing just looked so much fun, and it was. I still contend to this day that that ride was smooth as glass. It's amazing how awesome an SLC can be when it is actually smooth.
