Zwoopaman Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 It's a real one. The trains seem to be new generation aswell. (Photo taken from the Vekoma facebook page)
I305forever Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 The color scheme reminds me of the one The Great Nor'easter used to have.
rcjp Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 ^^Looks good. Now if they could get rid of those vests turning the restraints into lap bars...
A.J. Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 ^^Looks good. Now if they could get rid of those vests turning the restraints into lap bars... Curious, what benefit would that give? I'd rather have a safety redundancy than the ability to put my hands up on that particular kind of ride. A regular sit-down coaster? Sure! But this? I don't think it's necessary.
BDG Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 The SLC was completed at the end of August... photos: Vekoma
coasterbill Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 The SLC is going up. Oh hoorayyyyyyyy....
larrygator Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 (edited) The SLC is going up. Oh hoorayyyyyyyy.... Shhhhhhhhhhhh! You might get labelled an elitist for knocking an SLC. Edited September 14, 2015 by larrygator
Paradox Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I actually really like those colors! I hope it rides okay with the new Vekoma trains.

I don't think it's necessary. A vest isn't a safety redundancy. It's only here to help you keep your body in the upright position (EDIT: And they also allow to accommodate more body types than lap-bars (ie. fat people, people with no knee, etc)). The downside of those (in my opinion but I've read that multiple times), is that they press you on the collarbones and thus are a bit uncomfortable. Edited September 15, 2015 by KingRCT3
_koppen Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Weird, that SLC actually looks smooth and enjoyable!
Zwoopaman Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 According to their own website they'll be getting a costum vekoma launch coaster which they say is most similar to blue fire at EP. Rollercoaster Formuła 1 - 2016In 2016 one of the fastest roller coasters in Europe will be recreated. Formula 1 is a challenge for the most courageous. The extremely long track, the speed reaching 100 km/h and the uncountable loops and slopes will make it one of the most exciting rides in your life! The most similar roller coaster called the Blue Fire is located at Europa Park.
rcjp Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Looking forward to seeing what vekoma can do with this one. It looks like the park is gaining quite a few nice rides.
TheCoasterKid211 Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 (edited) Poland can into Vekoma headbangers! Old post, but this made me laugh harder than it should have. Edited March 4, 2016 by TheCoasterKid211
Paradox Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I like that layout a lot. It looks like Vekoma's take on an X-car. Hopefully it turns out great I really want to see more newer gen Vekomas get built around the world.
Ed Farmer Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Wow, very surprised and glad to see this park has actually happened. Hope the place does well.
toysoldier Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Looks like a pretty snazzy layout. Reminds me of the Maurer coaster built at Bayern Park.
