How Old Are You & What Was Your 1st Coaster?

My first coaster I ever rode was The Coaster at Playland in Vancouver BC, Canada in 1991 and when I first went onto it I said I would never go on it ever again and now it's my favorite ride to go onto at Playland

I think my first coaster was at Santa's Village in the San Bernadino mountains, near Redlands CA where I grew up. I must have only been about 5 years old, and don't remember much about it.

 

The one I really remember from a very young age was the Matterhorn at Disneyland. I think I was 6 years old at the time, and I was not scared of the ride itself, but was afraid of the dark (it was night when we rode). I thought it would be dark inside the mountain, but there were green lights throughout the ride. I loved it!

I have no clue how old I was when I first got on a coaster or what that coaster was. My first coaster memory is Space Mountain when I was 8, but I'm sure it wasn't my first coaster, just my first coaster memory.

First coaster: Zach's Zoomer, MIchigan's Adventure, must of been in 95. I was 5 or 6 at the time.

My first coaster was..Space Mountain at Disneyland. Apparently I cried because the music was too loud and it beat the crap out of my ears, can you say head banger? Oddly enough my first "big" coaster was Kong..an SLC. More head banging! But it still has a place near and dear to my heart.

 

How exactly did DL'sSpace Mountain "beat the crap out" of your ears? There's no OTSR's.

Excuse me, I meant head. I remember my head flying into the back of the headrest which was hard plastic from what I remember. The whole experience was poor.

I am 32. I thank my dad for my first credit at the age of three. It was before the height restrictions were placed at Hershey Park and I rode the Comet. My first coaster memory however is Space Mountain at WDW when I was 7.

First coaster was at Pacific Ocean Park, my uncle worked there, from what I remember I screamed my head off. (it was a kiddie coaster too)

I was 16, and my first ride was Vortex at King's Island. I was instantly addicted the thrill of the roller coaster. I couldn't even bring myself to ride it again when I was there a month ago. Ugh. And I'm sure I behaved like the biggest GP tool that I can't stand today. Double "Ugh".

I am 23. I have no idea what my first coaster was, but my first "big" coaster was Giant Coaster at Crystal Beach when I was 5 years old, just before the park closed. I assume my first coaster was Little Dipper either at Crystal Beach or Fantasy Island.

I'm 18 years old and my first coaster was 'de keverbaan' (now know as Dongo's race) at the former Meli Park (now Plopsaland de Panne). Altough it's just a Zierer, I remeber that I was quite scared

I believe it was Adventure Express from "Paramount" Kings Island at age 15. I'm now 25 with 27 roller coaster credits. My definition of credit is new roller coaster = new credit. Pretty much what Coasterfanatics.com does.

40 yrs old. My first ever coaster was the Screamin' Demon (Arrow Shuttle Loop) at Kings Island 30 years ago. 2nd coaster was the KI Racer the same day. I've been more or less hooked since, and now I'm hooking at least one of my kids.
