It's fascinating to see how the first launch is set up, followed by the back up, up the spike. Then straight ahead

into the rest of the circuit. Very nice, and looks/sounds very smooth, too.

Pretty awesome. Why do the Intamin LIM's sound so different to others? Most LIM's scream but all the modern Intamin ones roar.

It's LSM. But I don't know, it might depend on the manufacturer. Intamin's are manufactured by Indrivetec ; Mack, Gerstlauer, Maurer and Premier Rides uses InTraSys (Intamin did in the past) and Lightning Rod is Velocity Magnetics.

Intamin also does a lot of the work on the launch in house* compared to other manufacturers. They sure have their unique sound which is totally awesome.

Lisen't and enjoy!

* In house may be a strong word, but as opposed to buy a completely finished system.

I'm happy for that the Chinese are getting some killer rides these days. I bet a lot of people there thought they were just torture devices until recently.

Following on from the post about the Wanda Chengdu concept art. What is believed to be the layout for the space themed Intamin Launched coaster has been found

Wanda wants all of their Intamin to be incredibly tall and fast but do pretty much nothing more than that. Intamin has so much potential!

Well, at least it does more than TTD or Kingda Ka. The actual layout doesn't look too bad and I hope they keep to the concept art theming wise!

It's all about the spectacle.

An update from the indoor Wanda park in Nanning.

Literally a stones throw over the river from the also under construction Fantawild Nanning.

The coaster is called Phoenix Adventure and seems to be a Chinese built ride with 4 across seating (A first?)

Unsure of the manufacturer right now though.

Any news on the knock-off SLC?

The Harbin park with the SLC with new track design (Its got its own layout and track now, can they really be called knock off anymore?) doesn't officially open until June but it is currently soft opening. not seen any reviews yet.

Here's an update from Wanda Guangzhou and their dueling launched invert/sitdown ride.

Expected although not confirmed to be a Premier rides design it seems to use the same forwards, backwards, forwards launch system we have seen on rides like Soarin Dragon, Gold Rush and Star Trek as well as utilizing a over under loop track kind of like Full Throttle at SFMM but with inverted track around the sitdown.

Judging by the construction on other parks before Guangzhou and Wuxi should both start going vertical very soon

Wow, they're really getting after it. That's a pretty impressive idea, I hope it comes to life. I'd love to follow that construction. We've done interlocking loops...let's do loop around loop!

Another update as Wanda Guangzhou tease more rides. A better look at some of the duelling moments on that launched sitdown/inverted launch coaster seen on the previous page, a Dynamic Attractions SFX coaster and a (Mack?) spinning coaster. As well as a decent looking water ride.

We still don't really know who's building that launched duelling coaster though. Vekoma, Intamin and Premier all seem possibilities.

From the tiny NoLimits screenshots, it looks like the invert is Intamin (track and train like DrageKongen), but the sit-down is Vekoma (track and train like Formula 1)... Is this even possible?

I like how they use the free-fall drawing from Zierer for their SFX.

I'm going to guess it's a Vekoma only because it's the same concept as Battlestar Galactica (even the colors are identical albeit reversed)
