Stitch
In the amazing span of time that there has been television many shows have come and gone. Which shows in particular do you feel didn't get the credit they deserved? The Oblongs I personally feel like this show was unfairly canceled, I am yet to see an episode of it I don't like. The humor is very random but not all random things like Sea Lab 2021. Will Ferrel's character Bob is my favorite on the show. I really wish WB didn't give this great show the axe. The Tick This show is by far my favorite animated comedy of all time. It's humor is just everything I find funny, from the battle cry of "Spoon!", to The Tick's hand made side kick little wooden boy .... this show was remarkable. I feel so old saying this but, they just don't make them like that any more
Wes
Arrested Development. If you are not watching this, you're basically missing out on the best show ever. Mondays, 8PM. WATCH. If you don't, and it gets cancelled, I will hunt you down and murder your soul. Undeclared Short-lived show on Fox around 2001-2002 that revolved around college life. It only lasted about 15 episodes or so. Really funny, really well written, I'm continually pissed that it's not around anymore. The DVD just came out though. Homer
Stella- Face it, too few people liked it. Ask anybody and the majority would say the show sucked. It premiered on Comedy Central a few months ago and its last showing was 3 weeks ago (the Amusement Park episode). If your a fan of VH1's "I Love the..." series or three guys acting retarded in suits, you will like Stella. It's dumb comedy, dressed up in a suit. I wish Stella was back on more often... AllisonY2K
oh goodness, where to start. lets see: Clarissa Explains It All That 80s Show Stacked American High Alf ... actually, the most underrated show IMHO was My So-Called Life. CoasterFanatic
I don't know if I would neccesarily call MASH and Seinfeld underrated. The final episodes for each series rank number 1 and 2 all time.

I love Michael Ian Black on the "I love the..." series, but Stella was the ultimate and stupid and ineffectual "comedy." Sorry...not funny at all. And my humor is ALL over the place. Stitch
I forgot to add this show to my list ... Clerks : The Animated Series This show was very unfairly canceled, it premiered on ABC right when Disney bought it ... so Disney canceled it. I have the six episodes on the DVD, it is a must buy for anyone that likes Kevin Smith's style of humor.
Wes
^ Disney bought ABC in 1996. "Clerks" was broadcast in 2000. They cancelled it because it got low ratings. Only two episodes were aired on ABC in 2000 before the series was cancelled. Several factors contributed to the cancellation, including low ratings, the show's not fitting in with ABC's other programming, and ABC's decision to air the shows out of order. AllisonY2K
oh goodness, where to start. lets see: Clarissa Explains It All That 80s Show Stacked American High Alf hmmm..4 out of these 5 I was being sarcastic. (sorry Wally) I liked the short-lived show "American High" I thought it gave a glimpse of high school life much better than any sitcom or movie. Give a bunch of kids from a variety of cliques a video camera and let them tape high school life and their daily life. Cool stuff. so my logical runner-up for awesome high school drama tv show would be "My So-Called Life". A little part of me died when I found the show was no longer running. disneygurlz2s
"Sports Night"..... I loved that show. I love anything Aaron Sorkin has written ("Few Good Men" early seasons of "West Wing"). His "banter" style of dialog isn't everyone's taste, but I love it. And on the cast of "Sports Night" was first rate-Peter Krase, Felicity Huffman, Robert Guillame. There are others, but damn! I can't remember the titles of any of them, just what they were about! Shari

USRoadTripper
The show I hated to see go was Committed. It only ran for about half a season (or maybe it was a mid season replacement?) but I thought it was a great show. They overdid the black guy in the wheelchair though, which I'm sure contributed to why it's not around anymore. Ed is the other that comes to mind as a truly wonderful, entertaining show that I was so sad to see taken off the air. At least it had a happy ending! *sniff* -Julie
Meteornotes
Off the top of my head: Millennium - The second season of this was one of the most brilliant things ever. Then they turned it into an XFiles clone in season 3 and drove it off the air. The Wire - Everyone talks about The Sopranos and Six Feet Under, but most people ignore this HBO show that may be as good if not better than the other two shows. American Gothic - Creepy and strange and cancelled after a year on CBS. Finally coming out on DVD soon. EZStreets - Perhaps the most amazing thing ever on a network. Extremely complicated crime drama that only had eight episodes shown on CBS (which stands for "Cancel our Best Show") before confused executives pulled the plug. I think that if the show came on now, after The Sopranos and The Shield, it would have stayed on the air. A show way ahead of it's time... dt

robbalvey
I just recently found the Oblongs and I thought the show was GREAT! It's too bad more people didn't find it. I don't get Arrested Development. I've tried to watch it many, many times, and like Napolean Dynamite, I just don't see what other people are raving about. It's not a mass-market show. People either seem to love it or, like me, don't get it. And unfortunatley, with how much it struggled the last couple of years, I don't think I'm the only one. I hope it has staying power as I'd hate to see something that might be good for some people get cancelled just because other people don't get it. I also don't get American Dad. More people have been saying the shows are getting better, but I just sit and watch, and don't laugh once. I guess I'm not the target audience, but then again I LOVE Family Guy! --Robb "I'm just glad that Family Guy is back!" Alvey

Louise
Futurama is SERIOUSLY underrated over here in the UK, IMO at least. I love the Simpsons too, but I think Futurama has more intelligent humour and really don't understand why it was cancelled after four seasons when I think they could easily have carried on for a good few years after that, they've managed to think of SIXTEEN YEARS worth of episodes for the Simpsons after all! Bring it back!!!
QuakerOaties
For the most part I only watch mainstream shows. Like Robb, I tried to give Arrested Development a chance (On repeated occassions) but I just can't get into it. The double-edged sword that is Arrested Development is that it requires a pretty good knowledge of past episodes to understand every joke. If you've never seen an episode of AD, probably 50% of the jokes will go over your head. It took me watching the DVD of the first season to really get into the show. It also is one of those shows that you sort of have to watch very intensely, because some of the jokes are so subtle that you miss them. Just the other day I was watching an episode that I had seen probably 5 times, and I noticed three gags that I never saw before. I really think the writers are on some sort of super drug that makes them insanely smart, because the level of the writing is exceedingly excellent.
