carolinacaniac
I think it is a great place to put it. I thought that Mind Eraser (Six Flags America) and Thunderhawk (Geauga Lake) had good foot choppers during the double in-line twist. Now it looks like Infusion will have multiple foot choppers thoughout the ride. Especially when it comes out of the third inversion (I don't know what Vekoma calls it) and turns towards Big Dipper. Where is the tunnel going to be placed on the ride?
coaster-inc
ment to be on the first drop according to artwork... http://www.tpv.be/US/Attraction/ViewPic.asp?Entity=Attractie&DescField=FotoTitel&PicNr=4&ID=3673
carolinacaniac
Thanks for the link. The artwork makes it look a lot more spacious there, but I like the compated area it will be in. You have taken good picture so far. Looking forward to your next update.
coaster-inc
on half loop is now up,
ECZenith
The artwork most likely shows the ride so spread out to give people a better idea of the ride instead of showing it crammed into where it actually is. I totally forgot this was going to have a tunnel!
DarkMeasures
Why the big deal over a SLC?
coaster-inc
its not the fact its and SLC, its just that its been 7 years since a new big ride...
Jayjay719
Looks awesome! I know it's just a SLC but I wanna ride. Great addition to the park.
cobra_roll06
yeah...like many people have said before....it might only be an SLC but its a great move for BPB. Plus the foot choppers and the effects being added to the ride will make it that extra special
ECZenith
Dark, even if it was JUST an SLC, it would still be loved by most of the coaster community and it's definately time for Blackpool to get SOMETHING big after all this time. I'm not one to say SLCs are the best rides out there at all, but I've had fun on every one of the 9 I've been on just the same... so yeah... it is a big deal. Fallen Heretic
Seeing it take shape, I wonder if the lovely blue paintwork will clash with what will probably be mucky green-brown water?
Ched
BPB seem to have dyed all the water in the park a dark blue color, so I guess they will dye the new water under Infusion.
BlackHole2005
I never actually realised how small SLC's were before looking at this, its just amazing how them managed to get a ride like that to fit into a small space! It does look good so far, if not a bit "crammed in" but it looks cool! Cheers, BlackHole2005
Shockwave
Here's a good view of how it fits into the space and what they've done as of yesterday. SQUEEZE!
SharkTums
^Wow, great photo! I can't believe how fast they've gotten that thing up!!!
coastrfreak2000
^Yeah, considering how long it took them to prepare the land and put footers in and all that jazz.
coaster-inc
also im pritty sure now that it ISN'T traumatizer... its a shorter track and the station is lower, the brakes are at a steeper angle and the whole thing is tighter... i mean obviously it is tizer but not "as is"... should be interesting when they do the pull through. and another thing that i can see is that the pull up is only the walkways apart from the big ones track, i can forsee that some people are going to be trying to grab peoples legs.... DarkStitch626
^Wow, great photo! I can't believe how fast they've gotten that thing up!!! Do I honestly have to do the "How many ______ does it take to screw in a light bulb" joke about Vekoma's like this one LOL!.. Its lookin good! Well I think the rest of us are pretty sure that it is! There's even red paint peeling through on parts of the track already, and there was a Traumatizer sticker on one of the supports! So does that mean that Firehawk isn't really X-Flight and that BORG Assimilator isn't really Stealth just because they've got different colours? -Tom "It's not Rocket Science!" Hardwick. coaster-inc
NO...! I’m not saying it isn’t tizer, jezz, corse I know it is, what I mean is that it now is a remade version of it coz of the slight alterations to it, so now not a stock slc. Divv3k
^ What alterations? As far as I can see it's the same bog standard SLC that I rode in Southport. Not that i'm expecting any different. That's a really cool photo Tom - shows how BPB can shoehorn just about anything into the park. It's weird how it looks kinda tiny in the photos, whereas in Southport it towered over everything. I'd imagine you'd notice that even more when in the park.
DarkStitch626
That's a really cool photo Tom - shows how BPB can shoehorn just about anything into the park. Starting to sound like this coaster video I saw once how they talked about The Great Nor'Easter... "Haha gotta have a shoe horn to make it fit" Same thing going on here.. carolinacaniac
They are definatly flying on construction! I am one of those who likes the SLCs (Maybe I have not been on enough to know better, but I still like the two I went on). I agree that this is a great add considering that Blackpool hasn't got anything in a while.
coaster-inc
to me, the brake runs look steeper to get lower under the big one and the last turn and twists before brakes looks a little sharper than i thought... i might be wronge but....
