eddie200330
I never thought Hercules was that bad...my nephew and I marathoned it one evening before closing. About 6 rides and we couldn't stop laughing. My only gripe was how slow it took the last 1/3 of the ride. There were times I thought we wouldn't make it around that last curve. Hurricane.......well let's just say the real thing from Mother Nature is a lot smoother than that POS!!!! 2 rides the final season, 1 in the front and 1 in the back. I was tempted to give away the 2nd tickets after the 1st ride.......
rcjp
Wow, you can tell the ride is rough just by watching the offride footage (0:13) and that first turn was taken at a rather high speed!
Meteornotes
God that ride was horrid. dt

netdvn
Based on the mounted POV, it looked rather decent early in its lifespan. Just too bad RMC wasn't around to fix things up yet.
Xcoaster
Hercules still holds an honorary spot as my #1 least favorite coaster (it had been Flashback). I think I managed to make it even worse by taking my only ride in the back row (I think this was my first terrible wooden coaster, I'd just assumed all woodies were best in back). All I could recall of the ride prior to watching that video was my amazement and horror at that first turn (it was remarkably fast and ridiculously rough). After watching the video, I can understand why I didn't remember anything else about the ride (nothing else happens). It would've made an interesting project for RMC though. EPfan1
Ouch, ouuuch, ouuuuuuch!!!! they should rather call Hercules Earthquake...it seems like the whole ride is the most painful coaster in the world...except Chinese ones...

caffeine_demon
I thought Robb was going to bust an O ring on the bonus helix. It did seem to add something "special" to the ride. Extra headbanging? Infusion at blackpool even boxes your ears on the stretch of track between the brake run and the station!!
caffeine_demon
This was the coaster on the 2010 TPR Tour that had an "age issue" with a couple of us on the tour, myself included. Considering that I had/have ridden on umpteen dozen+ of SLCs around the world didn't matter. It was Italy, another country with their own rules about riding coasters. And we had to abide by them, without argument. I actually got to ride it (yes!), but sadly, a couple of tourers did not. What was the maximum age then? the website just lists "99 years"
caffeine_demon
Without Robb's commentary, that would have been just another old wooden coaster... But hearing his screams of pain as he suffered for his art made it both hilarious and cruel at the same time! So - did it have any good points, or was it just a non-stop painfest? Nrthwnd
^^ Honestly, I do not remember the exact "age limit" they were throwing at us, but I was under 60 at the time, and I was able to ride. I have the feeling it was '65' as their limit. But don't quote me, lol. Been a few years since that visit (2010). And the listing said "99 years"? Ha I say!
