GeorgeT
Good job, Robb--a very enjoyable thread with nice surprises. And why not end the month with Goudurix? Oh yeah...there´s even a song about it..."Safe the best for last"...

XYZ
It's hilarious that Parc Asterix plays calm music around Goudurix, found at 4:00 on the video.
jray21
Glad I skipped that park when I was in Paris! That ride looks brutal. I like how you can hear the jackhammering in the screaming.
disney4me2001
Getting caught up after missing the last few days...loved the POVs of the defunct coasters! That's something that I love about TPR's videos- it's nice that they have this footage available for us to watch long after some of these rides are gone (on a side note, one of my favorite ones is the Jaws video from last year!). As for that last video, all I can say is "OUCH!"

Parc Asterix itself is actually pretty nice, and it has some very good attractions--but the operations leave a bit to be desired.
Geauga Dog
Just caught up on the fnal video. I always liked Gouderix's layout but considering it is an early Vekoma I can imagine how brutal it may be as everyone seems to agree with. As for the butterfly, the one on SFOG's Ninja was actually pretty smooth.
cfc
^Vekomas are usually photogenic--but they're usually foul of temperament, too.
Meteornotes
Ah, Gouderix, I can still feel the pain in my skull. And I only rode you once. In 2005. Truly a craptacular ride! dt

gisco
Both times I have been to Paris I have missed the park and this ride. Doesn't look like I missed much on the ride part.

Seems that Paris theme parks aren't known for their great operations all that much.
markysharky17
Is Goudrix that bad of a coaster. Is it worst then Ninja at SFOG?

Customer service at Paris Disney was definitely the worst of any Disney park, though (even checking into one of their hotels took a long time). Oh, and this. Gourdrix doesnt look so rough. caffeine_demon
I can think of a few coasters I dislike more than goudurix - Furius baco, kanonen, infusion (and some of the other SLCs, Space mountain 2 and hershey park sooperdooperlooper.
scbt
I can think of a few coasters I dislike more than goudurix - hershey park sooperdooperlooper. What? How can you like Goudurix more than SDL? I understand that SDL is one of the tamest Schwarzkopf's but it doesn't try to kill you.

cmullin
^ I'll agree with that. From what I've heard Goudurix is extremely rough, and when I went on SDL it was a really fun a pretty smooth.
