I would like it be able to take your RCT1,2&3 park files and translate them in to its new engine. so you can play any scenario from any expansion pack, and also see how all of your old parks look in detail with a better engine and less slowdown.

Things I'd like to see in RCT3:

* More odd angles and to be able to do more than just forward and back to those odd angles. At present you can't climb or descend on on a gentle curve. Makes it' difficult to reproduce woodies.

* As someone else stated before, would like to see 1st gen Intamin Drop Towers. Would've loved to have these for a couple models I built recently.

* OD Hopkins style mini-rafts (Myrtle Beach Pavillion Hydro Surge/Holiday World) as option for rapids rides.

* 8-Person rafts option for rapids (Grizzly River Run/Penguin Blizzard River) rides.

* Classic fair/carnival version of the Spider/Octopus.

* Different kinds of supports (A-frame steel poles, steel boxy lattice like on arrow coasters, etc.), not just the standard poles. Maybe some adjustment on them?

* Not requiring riders to go through the lift hill part of the Dingy Slide. When you're reproducing the 80s/90s wet dry slides, you end up going to body slides, which better makes the point, but isn't quite as historically accurate.

* A long, narrow break section option instead of a catch pool for the Dingy Slide. Again, historical accuracy.

* Better way to grab and group coasters and scenery or multiple slides together. Seems hit and miss at times.

* Better animal trainer AI. Have had several trainers who can't find the utility shed to get food or trade out tools, and they're standing right in front of it with no obstructions nearby.

* Be able to turn off the park inspector so you aren't bombarded with messages, especially during rides. Graying out his options, helps some, but not enough.

* Believe it or not, a bigger build area. If you go really indepth with detail, the space can fill up very quickly with only a hand full of rides and their scenery.

* The ability in SandBox mode to highlite a structure (building, hotel, etc.) and save it there, instead of having to jump into the building editor and save it for import into a future scenario.

* More options for holes than just the standard 6 for the mini-golf.

* Support for JPG,GIF,TIF, etc in the billboard/signs. RCT3 only does BMP.

Yes, some of the above can be done with csp's (custom scenery packs) but I'd rather see it from Infograms/Atari. Also, it is understood that licenses must be had to include models of particular rides, otherwise it's copyright infringement. Also understand said licenses can be difficult to get and can be very expensive.

The above is just what I've experienced as a frequent user and modeler. These folks really do deserve a pat on the back for the sheer multitude of things you CAN do and the crazy programming it took to get there. And the animal PoV cameras are just brilliant! RCT3 really is a great product and creative tool already.

4. even some themepark rides that are very popular (something like skyhawk)

5. more roller coasters like a spinning roller coaster like tony hawks big spin

6.a sky loop coaster

7. team up with disney to make some rides, roller coasters, and scenery like disney

8. get some rides from cedar point and cedar fair

9. some first generation free falls

10.mor rides for kids under a certain height limit

11.not have flat rides take up so much room. let the flats go over the path

I think they should complety overhual the graphics into something more realistic and less cartoony. Make the rollercoaster physics a little more realistic as well. One thing I noticed from playing NoLimits is the ability to twist and bend the track to your liking. I would like that incorporated into there as maybe an advanced mode while the regular mode would be the usual preshaped tracks. The transitions on the tracks on there are too quick and painful, so I would fix that as well.

^ I've been thinking about something like that, and while a NL style editor will be WAY to complex for the general audience, I think that the program should work less on a grid system, and more on a curve setting. For instance, rather than having 90 or 45 degree curves, just have certain radius' of curves to use, then adjust it to curve flat, like a turn, or vertically for a loop, or anything like that,

I really think that the reason why RCT3 wasn't a big hit as atari hoped is that it's way too cartoony, RCT1 and RCT2 where really realistic with all the details and stuff, they really should head the realistic way again.

Why not make an option for "old style building" with more options like gentle sloped curves and stuff and an other option that you select an area and click on a button where you go in a NLish building section. that way you could build way more realistic and prettier parks. it shouldn't be that hard to make for the programmers

Everyone is asking for more realisim. How about some uniqueness. Have some unlockable modes similar to the Peep bowling videos on youtube, where the whole idea is kind of like the game burnout. You are given a set amount of track pieces to build a coaster amongst a small prearranged park. The purpose is to build and then crash the train to cause a maximum amount of mayhem. This mode would work better in a cartoony environment with all the little peeps bouncing around.

Then you could also take a cue from this youtube video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSF2xroIrW8

and create a rollercoaster golf mode, you are given a set amount of money and a small parcel of land on which to build, there is a hole off in the distance and the idea is to try to get the most train cars as you can to land in that hole.

On a more serious side there must be some reason that RCT4 has not been announced. Anybody know anything about why? or is it just because Atari's financial problems?

With rct4 you should be able to build beyond your imagination, instead of having to work inside box. (in otherhand, you would have unlimited park space. You could also have pre-build oceans as a good feature. I think that rct4 should have everything that would make any park as realistic as can be. Like making it easier to make rollercoasters more realistic by allow an option to make your own wooden supports and steel ride supports. Also by making the underground tunnels pitch dark. It would stay pitch dark unless you put in lights. Also allow curved paths, diagonal paths etc. Also making it easier to make roads. Also the perimeter of all rides, instead of being a square, maybe it could be an octagon or just have an option to allow you to make your own shape and size to the way you want it.

Part II will come out 1/3/2009

What I think would be cool for RCT4 is that you have a coaster editor like NoLimits where you build your coaster with a limited budget. so you can build a realistic coaster that has normal banking, more freedom in the height of your elements so you can build like midrange loops instead of giant and a tiny loop, that you're able to build realistic supports and such.

Then if this process is finished you order your coaster and then it would take time to build with a complete building site with cranes and workers.

In my opinion RCT4 schould be Nolimits but where you can build a complete park

Ability to build in RCT2 style (along with it's isometric view) and then view it in RCT3 style.

Less longer loading times (Seriously the load times for RCT3 are too long).

I think They should partner up with cedar fair and have parks already made (you can also make a park.) like cedar point, kings island, kings

dominion, canada's wonderland and carowinds.

I'd just like an RCT4.

Yeah with all of the lawsuits that went flying with RCT3, I doubt this will happen. I'd just be happy with them fixing the bugs in the current program!

But being a Mac user, I'd be happy if there's a Wild expansion pack. Not that it's stopped me from getting all the stuff in the pack... But I'd rather have an official version than what I've spent hours piecing together and debugging. BTW Apple's video card drivers suck! Not optimized for videogames at all... and they're coming from Nvidia!

I'd love to see it compatible with No Limits, or at least have the track node type coaster designing, the cookie cutter element type designing makes for cookie cutter coasters.

Also, I’d like it to be a lot less cartoony, the whole cartoon overtake of RCT3 prevented me from buying it in the first place. Although sadly I don't think that's going to happen, RCT has clearly become something that’s marketed to kids now.

I would like to see the graphics like they used for maverick. I would

also like to see the peeps and staff act real. I want to build coasters like

no limits to just more simple. Don't forget the workers have to build the

rides. I would like to see big or small lines on how new or big the ride

is.

To me, roller coaster tycoon 3 isn't very realistic in general. What i mean by this is that unless you import custom scenery, a basic park isn't really that realistic. I think that to make building the park be more enjoyable and more realistic in the end, they should make the ride supports more nicer and appealing or have JCat's Steelworkx already in the game. Also, they should eliminate the grid completely. Therefore anything can be placed anywhere. You could turn the grid on and off. ( What i mean by this is that the grid does not exist, it only exists if you make it exist, get it!!) Also with the roads. It might make it easier if there were like special road pieces. ( Pieces that look like roads), maybe include sewer crates, curbs, sidewalks, fire hydrants, telephone poles, street signs etc... This would make a cool entrance road to your park. Adding more of an appealing look if i do say myself. Another thing, i think it would be more interesting if the waterfalls didn't make so much noise. It bothers me. Also if anybody has noticed. In RCT3 when you place a path next to anything there is always that gap that can never be filled, no matter what you do. Possibly we could design a wall of plant to cover that up and make it more nicer................

How about this, you have to design the ride, and then workers will take real time to build your ride. Comment me on your ideas!

PLEASE PUT RCTIDS AT THE END OF YOUR POST, THANK YOU!Part III will come out 1/5/2009

^ Yes, I think that'd be great, Like in some Tactical games such as Axis and Allies it takes a amount of time to build a certain gun or building or something. But the fact is, they're marketing to the general public. Do you remember trying to figure out NL for the first time? It's not easy, it takes smarts! So thats why I doubt that they'll ever make a designer of that caliber.
