Coasterbp Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 It's looking really good, Shane! Let us know when the water gets turned on and you need some test riders before it's open to the public. Us Vegas TPR folks wouldn't mind helping you test out the place! -=CoasterBP
Double0Kevin Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Typically I don't care for water parks, but this one definitely has my attention. Doesn't hurt that I live less than a mile away either.
Robocoaster Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Looking great! Love waterparks, but somehow haven't been able to muster the enthusiasm to return to WetnMild this year, even with the new attraction. But this park I am very much looking forward to.
goldenstate5 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Drove by the park yesterday since I had to stop by the Galleria mall nearby. The slide tower that is up looks massive, lovely, colorful and GREAT and the buildings really are beautiful as well. So much better than Wet n Wild. I'm curious to see how it all gets built and gussied up by mid-June. I don't think any more time can be chewed out of the summer, so the best of luck to you, Shane.
montezooma Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Here’s an update from the past week. Yes, summer is closing in on us quickly but construction carries on at a rigorous pace. We had some major winds the entire week which shut down slide installation. Work on all buildings in nearing completion and we are beginning to focus on walkways and landscaping around the park. As I see more and more details finished up I am really proud of the product we will be bringing to the Vegas market. Here is the front entrance to the park. Bright, colorful and really sets the stage for the rest of the park. Here you can see the stylistic look of Boardwalk Beach, Dole pineapple whip is served from this building. Here’s me inside Point Panic. The Polin light effects are sooooo coooool Rocky’s beach side cafe and our VIP cabana pool. Surf-A-Rama Dive In wave pool. Cowabunga Kids Cove will feature this cute water play structure that will have 10 different slides for the kiddies…all in heated water of course. Surf-A-GoGo Arcade games in the Sharkcade.
montezooma Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Cool fly over of the park by someone who posted it to youtube.
Jew Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 I'll be in Vegas for EDC, really hope to be able to check this out!
Owl_Enthusiast Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 I am really excited about this park. Next time I am in Las Vegas (probably next year) I will definitely be checking it out!
jedimaster1227 Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 Thank you for sharing these amazing photos with us Shane! Can't wait to see how the park looks when it is open!
DoinItForTheFame Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Every time I see photos of this park I get more and more excited for the opening. It is looking AMAZING! I can not wait to see the final product!
urzishra Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Going after Father's day I hope it is open by then (fingers crossed.) I literally just got back from the one in Draper and I had an incredible time.
gisco Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Looking good. I expect you will have a huge crowd when you open. I watched that fly over and the place looks huge.
jray21 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Looks really great Shane! I can't wait to head down there and visit the park sometime this summer.
alilstronger Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Looks awesome so far! Them black and white parts of the slides seem very interesting.
nynehalem Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Shane; you're pretty much my hero (I'm getting an MBA with the goal of going into park management). This is looking fantastic, and I especially like that you'l be serving Dole Whips
_koppen Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Here's some fresh photos! Coming together very fast now. Can't wait to see how the Wild Surf slide turns out! This is the wave machine "Concrete sidewalks will receive a special coating of “cool-deck” to lower the temperature of hot cement." This tower is for the mat racer & speed slide The shut down lane for the speed slide will be here Supports for the mat slide, by the look of it, the fiberglass should also go vertical very soon Source
Guy T. Koepp Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Oooooo! It looks like the shutdown lanes for the speed slides are getting the Iron Horse treatment. Me Likey! Looks like I will be there with the kids in late June. Woo Hoo! Can't wait to see the place in person Shane. It looks beautiful.
glouthan Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I love any slide with light effects - no doubt these will be amazing! Those "cylinders" look like they will have some nice oscillating motion!
TPDave Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Shane this looks amazing. Agreed on the lights, they're awesome! I'll have to arrange a visit out west to come and check it out some time
urzishra Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I wish more water parks did that "cool spray" on the walkways. That is my biggest peeve about water parks. I love the bright colors and those lighting effects are going to rule.
LiMiT Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 So are those rings actual lights? Because from the looks of it, it's just thinner, translucent surfaces that let in sunlight. Either way, it's still a really cool idea that more water parks should try. That bullet bowl and the other black and white cylindrical things make me happy.
TPDave Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 So are those ringy dingy ding-a-ling dings actual lights? Because from the looks of it, it's just thinner, translucent surfaces that let in sunlight. Either way, it's still a really cool idea that more water parks should try. That bullet bowl and the other black and white cylindrical things make me happy. I think you're right, not that anyone will care when they're flying past them in the slide!
