_koppen
Don't take this to seriously, I really don't think it's true.
simon8899
Sommerland Syd has only about 4 months of operations so maybe thats the reason for an error. On the other hand its mostly a small park aimed to families with smaller children. The Invertigo is a little out of place and only runs every 15 minutes - so they maybe sold it to a bigger park. deathbydinn
Sommerland Syd have announced on their Facebook page that they have sold Tornado, their Vekoma Invertigo coaster to a park in France. No word yet on just what they may have in mind to replace it. http://www.screamscape.com/html/small_international_parks.htm#SommerlandSyd
simon8899
So far they've only hired a wild mouse each year from german showmen - I'd not be surprised if they now buy one for themselves. I guess they won't buy another big coaster as its quite out of place... Kinda sad as the Invertigo at Sommerland Syd was quite smooth compared to the SLCs... Nrthwnd
Kinda sad as the Invertigo at Sommerland Syd was quite smooth compared to the SLCs... This has been my first and only invertigo, since I started touring with TPR. And on the 2009 Scandi Tour, we rode this thing in the pouring rain.... and it was great!! I hope it gets good maintenance and attention in Bagatelle, as it seemed to be getting, in Sommerland Syd. Great invertigo - even with the rain hitting our faces like bullets, lol! simon8899
The webpage of Sommerland Syd has now been updated....and they get themselves for the Tornado... - a Zyklon Galaxi coaster - a Huss Rainbow - a Huss Enterprise All most likely used. Judging by the pics the Huss rides have a kind-of Maya theme... So for me its a park less on the list to visit regulary.... cfc
Sommerland Syd has filed for bankruptcy. http://ekstrabladet.dk/kup/forbrug/article1815437.ece?refimg=827688 This is a sad news--such a quirky, odd little park (particularly the very un-PC spalsh boat ride with cannibals). KingRCT3
Apparently Sommerland Syd is not dead! And hold on, here's a big news! Since September 29, "Le Ragondingue", a classic Reverchon spinning wild-mouse at Bagatelle, is used for testing a car prototype for a new coaster. Nothing exciting? Look closely, it's a swinging car! Moose
Does that spin and swing? That's truly scary!
cal1br3tto
^^What the hell?! Maybe it's just me, but that looks really...creepy. I demand video. But if it's really a good design (not painful or pointlessly gimmicky), then hopefully it will take off! It seems like it could be a great way to refresh those generic ol' Wild Mice. KingRCT3
News : It doesn't spin, only swing! Make that thing less scarier I guess.

It seems like it could be a great way to refresh those generic ol' Wild Mice. It's really interesting because it will drastically change the experience of those wild mouse coasters as well. Since the seats roll left and right, the laterals could effectively be cancelled out by their insane banking.
SoCalCoasters
That's a really cool vehicle! I have a feeling that we won't see this in America unless the restrains can keep people's arms locked in and away from the track....
scbt
^ I would guess that there would be some sort of limiter which would keep it from swinging more than say 45 degrees or something along those lines

I have a feeling that we won't see this in America unless the restrains can keep people's arms locked in and away from the track.... The "wings" on the sides of the seats look like they extend far enough forward to prevent people from extending their arms to the side, even if they sit crouched down against the lap restraint. Shoulders only pivot so far.

KingRCT3
Here's some news about this mysterious car. We believe Sommerland Syd is definitely out of business and they won't re-open, so forget it. This car is made by Reverchon, a french coaster company. (the one that built that wild-mouse). That's a good news for them because they were out of the market since a few years. It's a nice come-back I believe!
