TheCoasterKid211 Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 You might be a coaster nerd if you start yelling at some one for saying "This roller coaster has four loops" when you're in line for a double-loop-and-corkscrew coaster.
CP Maverick Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 After you post in a theme park forum and constantly check it if someone quoted or replied to your post. I think this applies to a lot of message boards.
VF15 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 ...you have never seen a show at a theme park because you're too busy riding rides. (I must admit I have seen a few shows at parks, but only because the people I was with wanted to see them.)
DorneyKid14 Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 type for college essays about themes park and roller coasters in one semester.....
CoasterDirected Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 When your ringtone is the beautiful station music for Millie and you preordered the CoasterDynamix Montu colored Scorpion.
VF15 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 ...you wish there were roller coaster/theme park-related classes in college.
CP Maverick Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 ... there are. You just need to find the right school.
MrSum1_55 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 ^My college does not offer them, but a famous roller coaster engineer did graduate from it! As a result, my roommate is always wondering what I'm doing with all these coat hangers...
Coils_Park Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 When half your questions on a website are about coasters and your username is a roller coaster name... Â http://www.rrrather.com/
Themonerd Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 You might be a coaster nerd if.... When you come across a photo of a Rollercoaster in a textbook you automatically know what coaster it is and where it is (was) located.  I've done this way too much in school.
canadianparkfan Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 ^You always notice that they never show the good coasters in textbooks, usually just Vekoma boomerangs.
Themonerd Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 ^You always notice that they never show the good coasters in textbooks, usually just Vekoma boomerangs. Â One time I saw a Arrow corkscrew.
VF15 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 ...your family/friends frequently share coaster/park news on your Facebook profile. ...you knew about said news before they posted it.
rcjp Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 ^Haha true. ^You always notice that they never show the good coasters in textbooks, usually just Vekoma boomerangs. Â One time I saw a Arrow corkscrew. My physics book from high school didn't do bad, actually.
AdventureJack Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 We had two foreign exchange students from Toronto stay with us last year and this was the first question I asked them: "Do you like Canada's Wonderland?" Â They replied with "How do you know about that place?" Â My mom then said "He's kind of a freak when it comes to that stuff."
dippindotsguy8 Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 You spend your night defending Castles n Coasters against the crazies on facebook instead of working on all of the homework that's due tomorrow.
thrillseeker4552 Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 ...when you cringe at your physics textbook because it lists a roller coaster as Roar at Six Flags Marine Park (old textbook); however, it is clearly the one at Six Flags America as seen by PTC trains. I would cross it out, but it is rented from the library... I'll just have to live with it. Â *takes deep breaths and tries to relax*
mordecai-75 Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 ^Haha true. ^You always notice that they never show the good coasters in textbooks, usually just Vekoma boomerangs. Â One time I saw a Arrow corkscrew. My physics book from high school didn't do bad, actually. Translation! ???

Nothing special (it doesn't say which particular coasters those are, I guess they just searched for "roller coaster" and that was it haha). It just generally mentions how even though most coasters don't go that fast what makes them exiting is the G forces and it explains how it works (that, let's say, you're twice as heavy under 2 Gs, the amount of Gs most people can stand and how the forces felt on crashes are way bigger than on a coaster or plane)
RAWKIN_coaster38 Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 We had two foreign exchange students from Toronto stay with us last year and this was the first question I asked them:"Do you like Canada's Wonderland?" Â They replied with "How do you know about that place?" Â My mom then said "He's kind of a freak when it comes to that stuff." Been there, except it was exchange students from Australia and Spain. They were surprised I knew of the parks near them, as is just about anyone else from anywhere outside of California when I mention parks in their area.
Jedi_man Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Another random quotes from B&M, straight out of the hyper-coaster seat patent:Â "[...] giving each passenger the impression, albeit artificial, that he is seated on a flying carpet or that he is at the controls of a kind of flying scooter" Â "To provide a somewhat simplistic comparison, a person feels, in overall terms, more at liberty on a bicycle than in a bus." Â The B&M patents are really cool, they go into the psychology aspect of their innovations! One reason why Diamondback is my favorite SO comfortable and futuristic! One of the most comfortable, If not the most comfortable, things I ever sat on Best coaster seats ever.
VF15 Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 ...when you're going up on an escalator, you're disappointed at the top when there's no drop.
MillenniumFangirl Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 You might be a coaster nerd if......you get in a strange depressed state whenever a trip to a theme park is over.
