Gerstlauer1
Hi guys, Look what i found! From http://www.coasterforce.com/news/park-news/1555-new-coaster-for-duinrell-gets-the-green-light DUINRELL, WASSENAAR, THE NETHERLANDS On March 15th, Duinrell submitted plans to the local authority build a new family coaster. In a press release issued earlier today, the park confirmed that the plans been been approved and construction will begin on June 8th. The rollercoaster, manufactured by Gerstlauer, will be 49ft high, have a track length of 1,184ft and is due to open next year. The coaster will be build between the Falcon and Kikker-8-Bann coasters. The ride is currently unnamed. RCDB link: http://rcdb.com/9298.htm Yay looks good! Edited December 20, 2011 by gisco
Airtime&Gravity
From the layout, it looks like it will be a spinning coaster. While it looks a little on the short side, the ride still looks like a lot of fun, and hits nice to see the approval for this coaster went a lot easier than Falcon. That turnaround after the first drop looks like it could be insane if taken at the right speed.
ECZenith
If you look at the second picture, it appears to show the train in the station. Appears to be a standard train, not spinning. Layout looks a nit longer than what you typically see from a "family coaster"' looks like it could be fun.
SharkTums
Yeah, this didn't scream spinner to me. Looks more like a slightly larger version of the standard Gerstlauer Family coaster like CoasterSaurus at Legoland or that new one at Hansa Park. Really liked this park on our visit last year, glad to see them doing well and expanding!
Gerstlauer1
I don't think it's a spinning coaster, it does not have any midcourse blockbrake at all. And spinners from Gerstlauer usually have that!
larrygator
I liked the park also, but didn't it take them 3 years to get Falcon built?
Gerstlauer1
^ It did to get all the things in the right place with the approvements etc. This coaster is approved.
Nrthwnd
Duinrell is in a great, actual forested park/campgrounds setting, so that any new coaster built there will 'look' great. Edited June 4, 2011 by Nrthwnd
Blatch
Wow, this should really help Duinrell stand out as far as their coaster collection goes: that first drop looks insane for a family coaster! It's a shame it isn't that much longer, though. The layout indicates it should be a pretty fun ride, however!
Gerstlauer1
Some new pictures has been posted on http://forum.airtimers.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1174&start=10 Looks pretty good, Like the final helix. There is a pretty cool picture featuring some of the blueprints of the coaster that you can find at the site posted above.
Gerstlauer1
A great update showing the construction progress of this nice looking coaster has been posted to http://themepark.nl/ The station is taking shape. Brown track pieces. More track. Yay!!! Themed supports! More track. Track has already been installed in the station. Construction site. I hope some of those trees are going to stay, i would to see this coaster soar through the woods.

sammmmmy
This park actually reminds me a lot of Forest Frontiers in RCT1! But anyways, I think this is a great addition to the park.
coasterfreak101
Those supports are the coolest!
Kooky
they started testing: I hope/think they will paint the trains too. Maybe like everything in duinrell in a wooden style
Ace Of Spades
That actually looks like a neat little ride, and a fair bit more ambitious than the other, smaller Gerstlauer kiddies. I'm also digging the faux-wood supports. A lot.
gisco
It looks like it will be a good addition as a family ride.
larrygator
it's great how Duinrell just works around the trees that are already there
bottom_feeder_13
Looking at the layout it looks like this would make a decent little spinner, with all the turns it could have turned out quite nice, if rather dire capacity wise. Still looks like an enjoyable little coaster, with a pop of potential air in the back row on the first drop.
QueerRudie
it's great how Duinrell just works around the trees that are already there Agreed completely. Parks need to remember that trees and such are very valuable property additions- and leaving them up adds to a ride's ambiance as well as to the 'thrill' factor to said ride. And this does look like a nifty junior coaster- Gerstlauer has finally found a ride to break the Vekoma/Zierer 'cookie cutter' approach to these rides. I can only hope that this style catches on- as it would make for a wonderful- if not thrilling- addition to many smaller parks needing something with a bit of 'oomph' to their ride lineups. TPDave
I didn't see this when it was first announced! What an awesome location for a family coaster
