I think I linked to it from either Thrillnetwork or Screamscape. I don't really remember the entire time is like a blur of roller coasters and randomness. I stay because this is one of the very few coaster sites where 1. they have actually had a sense of humor and 2. the moderators are not know-it-all jerks. The DVD's are oustanding and I have had such a great time here on TPR I wish I would of found it sooner because I only stumbled upon it last April. It's also nice to be on a coaster fan site where the people who run it actually care about it and not treat it like a footnote.

I went to Google Images and searched "patch jackets" and low and behold a picture of Robb came up! Seems like Google knows it's stuff!

After riding Montezuma's Revenge for the first time, I searched "theme parks" on Ask.com and found this site. I've been a member of the forums ever since the beginning.

I joined TPR on 6/14/05, but I had been hanging out here for 3-4 weeks before just getting used to how things worked around here. The way I actually found the TPR website was through Coasterbuzz, (if you know the history about TPR/CB you might find some humor in that).

I'd heard of Robb off and on for 2-3 years but didn't know about TPR. Then on Coasterbuzz a big debate began about filming video on coasters without permission, and "some" people have no other defense on this subject than to blame Robb & Elissa for anything pertaining to this subject. Anyway I like to get both sides of the story, so I followed a very short-lived link, and here I am.

Honestly, the people defending you, Elissa, and TPR on this subject put up a much better fight. They made sense, they provided proof, and were just a whole lot more entertaining about it. I've been here ever since.

As a sidenote, I actually saw Elissa before I ever saw Robb. She was doing some on-ride audio/video for a ride on Montu, (I believe), for a Discovery Channel coaster show. Once I found out Elissa White, was now Elissa Alvey...well...it was even more encouragement to visit TPR.

Sorry Robb, she's easier on the eyes!

Was planning a trip to SFMM some months ago with my brother and was looking for some pics and vids of the coasters since he had never been there. Through the randomness of the internet we found TPR. Even though I visited frequently it was still a couple of months before I actually joined. Glad I did and hopefully some time in the future I'll make it to one of the big trips with you guys.

Well, after HOURS of google-ing for coaster POV's and finding nothing but utter, pure, camera phone, crap. I found 'HERE'!!! *omg like yay! *.

Since then I have worshiped Robb and Elisa every day, and I await the day when they go to Lagoon, so that I can give them a giant soap carved shrine of coasterness!!! As soon as I can find some bar soap... hmm

I honestly can't even remember how I came about TPR, but it's going back 4 years ago during the construction of Dragster when I really got into coasters.

My coaster history went from guidetothepoint, and then onto Coaster Buzz (chances are I found my way here through that site) and a rct site I used to help run RctTown. Once the forums started up here I haven't really gone back to any other site and I am counting down the days until the Mid-West trip in August!

  • 3 months later...

Well I found the site when I was looking for pictures of roller coaster for a school project like 3 years ago. I went to yahoo and I typed in the name of the roller coaster, and there were like a million pictures. I clicked on one that I liked and it pulled up that little window thing where the picture is small and the website was below it. I started looking on here for more roller coaster photos for my project. After the project I was like addicted to this site then the Forum's were created and I joined! Now here I am
