  1. D'Efteling Toverland Phantasialand Holiday Park Tripsdrill Europa Park Does Oktoberfest count?
  2. Well, I still haven't had a proper look at it (the DVD drive in my "home" PC doesn't recognise it, for some reason .. it only works on the laptop!) but what I have seen so far is great! Looking forward to many more like it in the future! Thanks guys!!
  3. If you spring for the gold Q-Bot at SFNE I wouldn't think so. You could wind up at SFNE around 3pm having done every coaster in the park going "now what?" --Robb Oh ... errmmm .... what a dilemma!! *sigh* Ahh well, I guess we might HAVE to suffer a few hours over at Lake Compounce, then. What a shame!! *GRIN*
  4. ^What a damn shame we're not getting that far West next year! Never mind, I'm sure we'll find some good places on the East side (When we find time!) Meanwhile, another of Rhymney Breweries offerings ..... At 5%, it's brewed with six (yes 6!) different malts and is quite tasty. They call it Export ..... I can only assume that they do export it, but I think that tag just goes waaaaaaaay back to a time when "strong" beers could only be brewed for export.
  5. Continuing my quest for locally brewed real ale, I found a couple more offerings from the Rhymney Brewery. Named after Welsh politician Nye Bevan, who founded the National Health Service over here. First up, Bevan's Bitter @4.2% & as it says on the label, "Taste Is Everything!"
  6. Another quick update from over the water. Picked up some more Breconshire Brewery stuff on Wednesday evening. A nice red ale with a great balance of Crystal & Black malts with Goldings & First Gold hops Very tasty!! Tonights tipple. Rambler's Ruin @5.0% Lovely colour but disappointing in the flavour department! Plenty of hops but no malt balance!! Last nights beverage ..... Golden Valley @ 4.2%.
  7. Good to see a report on IB. It was one of my fave parks of my visit in '99. 8 years is a lo-o-ong time ..... but hey, I'll be back there next year!
  8. Just to let you know what tonight's beverage is (the Steam was last night!) Red Dragon from the Breconshire Brewery. It says here " Vast amounts of crystal malts are blended into a complex grist of malted barley & wheat. A blend of hops provide the bite to compliment the biscuity malt characteristics of this exceptionally smooth premium ale." Sounds good to me! Even Munkeh likes it! A gorgeous red colour & a flavour to match! A lively 4.7% (1047 O.G)
  9. Thought it was time I stopped in here again ..... it's been a while! Popped into Tesco the other night & I found ..... It tasted very nice, but didn't last very long!! But I can't understand why British supermarkets only ever seem to stock ONE variety from a particular brewery's selection!
  10. I thought I should just say that the "Buzzard's Thirst Ale" is/was a highly quaffable beer. A little cloudy but nice & refreshing with a fruity citrus twang! Ir reminded me of something but I can't put a finger on what! All I know is I've paid good money for worse beer! All in all, a highly commendable first attempt at full-mash craft brewing. Excellent!
  11. Out In The Fields - Sonata Arctica (Gary Moore cover)
  12. Still on the blonde theme ..... Adnam's Explorer. Apparently it's best served chilled, but it's just fine at room temperature! Light & refreshing with a grapefruit burst & an ABV of 5.5%.
  13. I wasn't going to, but I was passing the shop & thought "what the heck"! Nice & malty with a zesty bite. Very refreshing at 4.2%. I fancied a bit of blonde tonight ..... Fuller's Discovery Blonde Beer!
  14. Tonights offering is an old style bitter from Tomos Watkin, Premium OSB Ale. Brewed down the road in Swansea & coming in at 4.5% Fruity with great hop/malt balance, Mmmmm!! Cwrw Arbennig Cymru ..... it's Welsh!
