rollin_n_coastin
Me and Chuck cemented our friendship on that train ride! Dave  Yah, it's amazing the the bromances that develop in that type of situation. Speaking of which, big shout out to Divv.....we made it through...as did the entire row even if just barely lol
jray21
Time for the most incredible and amazing day of the trip! I really have never had this much fun in my entire life! It started off with a stop at a middle of nowhere Pizza Hut, and then a stop at the St. Louis Arch for a little culture! After a culture experience with the temperature being hotter than the sun, we head over to the world's greatest museum, the CITY MUSEUM! If you don't know what this is, then you haven't been browsing TPR enough! It is like a messed up play ground fun house for adults! If there was any doubt left in the world about how good TPR trips are, this single place erased them once and for all. TIme for the pictures! Now that's called service! TPR is friendly, open, and inviting....unless your Hanno. We miss bus time with KidTums! At the Arch! TPR Arch takeover! They don't know what they are in for! Ok, maybe somebody tipped them off. Elissa hasn't been violated like this since two minutes ago by Robb! Next up was scale, the ride! Video to follow!!! "Please stand clear of the doors. Por favor manténganse alejado de las puertas." Our space capsules to the future. Looking out the HUGE windows! I am so excited! The view across the crystal 'World of Color' blue Mississippi On the other side, the Old Courthouse and Cardinals stadium. What the inside of the arch looks like. I love Kristen's face in this picture! Robb de-virginizes Ashley's ears with an obscene version of a kids story. I had to brave 100 degree heat for this picture! Self portrait since no one else would come out in the heat! Uh oh! Robb has his murder/rape face on! Yes, the Tums factory! Very TPR approved! Chuck and the rest of TPR arrive at the City Museum! This place looks so amazing and warped! Nick climbs the somewhat painful rebar tunnels while Mike Austin shakes his fist at the stupidity of the place. Fat guy is going to get stuck! Jake does loves him some balls! Russell just hopes they have some saws available to cut him out if he gets stuck. I wonder if they have Song of the South in the vault! Laura tries the hamster wheel! All we need now is a hand with a flag, and Marc Summers! Robb loves going down deep on the slides! Lou was never to be seen again. Time for the ten story spiral slide! Looking down from the top you realize you are really high up! Did I remind you how hot it was? I was sweating like an Acer at a gravy buffet! At the top they had a really fun and dangerous rope swing. You could even climb over the top of the rope. It's fun being a swinger! They had the Ferris Wheel open at the top for us! Jason, Neil, and Brad are loving the City Museum! Nice picture at the top of the City Museum (also, is the ride being held together on the right by a large safety pin!?) Don't open the door and jump! Amy's driving the bus to hell and is talking all of TPR with her (ok, so they really all beat her there). Of course a Praying Mantis and a slide. What else would you put on top of a building? Geez. Walking through an Acer's intestine. Another look at the incredible slides! Sorry it's a fuzzy picture but I had no clue what everyone was hanging around here for..... Of course! Virtually the only air conditioner in the whole place! More bizarre and odd stuff to play around with. Time for that prostate check! We called these the Auschwitz tunnels. (really bad I know) You could run around and escape from people, and they got progressively smaller and smaller. Dan takes a picture for Jewy. Jason tries to serenade Dave and Jack A giant human Kaleidoscope! Time to climb around the outside oven! These steel tunnels of death were so much fun! Trent is waiting for that special moment when someone falls to their death. Jenn said she was reliving her own birth. Ashley (ash.1111) thinks he just got a job with Virgin Blue, but it's really this airlines. Welcome, have a seat. Don't mind the bird crap or spiders. Ready for takeoff! Climbing down from the wing. Some nice sweat art. Amy is going for an abstract Domo mustache, and Dan has a nice heart. Lots of screwed up stuff to climb around! Will the fatty fit in the tube? Barry M. Deeper is used to fitting into tight spaces Barry M. Deeper has made it through! Robb really has no fear of heights, it was pretty impressive. The heights scared the crap out of John, literally. Here you can kind of see how high it really is. It was probably around 50 feet tall! Robb crop dusts Stephen! Looking down through the pretty skinny rebar. It definitely didn't feel secure because they all shook quite a bit and were all rusty. This was a really steep slide, but ended up not being too scary. Another view of a totally TPR style playground! This slide was so fast that it would start burning your back and butt so we sent Barry M. Deeper down it to lube it. Don't worry Dan, it's ok for you to slide down it. That sticky slippery substance isn't water. Robb gets ready to make love to my camera. Amy and Dan try out the steep slide. Barry M. Deeper shows the No Hands Downward Slide Position. Back inside we see their rat deterrent. Ever since they put this up, they've never had a problem. There was a lot of creepy random stuff inside. See you in a few hours Dan...or ten seconds. They had a giant "10 years of collecting sweat, urine, and feces" sponge pit! Here lies Robb Alvey. (you can also see all the bits of nasty sponge dust we were inhaling in this picture) He's alive! Sorry Elissa. America's first Food and Fatty!!! So that's why Dan's favorite person is Queen Nefertiti! Nom Nom Nom! Noooo, not Jake! We need some Texas grease for the giant slide! Hello little boys, I have some special candy up here! Kristen decides who is allowed on the slide. Looking at this sad group I think she will want to re-think her choices. Some nice Jake quality Texas Sweat Juice Lubricant! Another group picked by Kristen. Even Mike Austin made it, and he stated that the selection was 'terrible.' They had a nice human skate ramp park that you could severely hurt yourself on! One last climb outside before we leave! And to finish off this epic day, and to gain back the 10,000 calories we just burned off, WHITE CASTLE!!! Ten for me, three for Amy! This fatty easily finished all 10! Next stop is Six Flags St. Louis and one of the hottest TPR Trip days in history!

jray21
I love City Museum! I swear as long as we were there, I missed half of the stuff you posted. I think I need to go back. Â That's what was so amazing about that place. Every trip report I have seen on the City Museum had something new that I totally missed. That place was absolutely amazing! Â Â ^^Glad you liked it! I have never sweated as much as I did on that trip. I appologize to the whole trip for my added smell! Â Â ^ & ^^^ It is absolutely worth it to stop by if you are close. If I was with a group of friends I would probably skip Six Flags for it!
Jakizle
That might have been my favorite four hours ever! Super cool pictures even though you took the worse picture of me in existence. Â -Jake
cal1br3tto
This really brought back the trip for me! I'm almost GLAD I missed a lot of that stuff (but not really). I want to go back, but I'm afraid of what it's like when it's open to the public!
jynx242
That was one of the most amazing days I've ever had on a TPR trip and that is odd since there were no actual theme parks involved I am still completely amazed that there were no major injuries . I refreshed my First Aid knowledge since Scott is such a notorious clutz. Â David

amyzoo
Ah, this day was so fun. I want to go back to City Museum, maybe when it's not 100 degrees out. But I don't like the gross pictures of me sweaty...I never had been so sweaty!!

rollin_n_coastin
It's so true, that there's something new discovered in everyone's report! There seems to be tons of stuff that I completely missed anyway. Â I have to say, it's like some bravery force takes us over on TPR trips. I've done things that I've never thought possible. I think the City Museum is the pinnacle of it all. It was so hot that day and we were all verging on nasty, but it just didn't seem to matter so long as we could climb through another iron structure over the city, ride the roof-top ferris wheel again or crawl/ climb into into some very claustrophobic space to see where we could end up. Loved every minute of it!
tedten
What an awesome TR! Looking forward to more! I live in the midwest but haven't been to SDC, WOF, or Adventureland! Really enjoying this thread. Â Also I was going to mention that the big ass fan company that was mentioned early actually has one installed in Pilgrim's Plunge que area at Holiday World. Just thought I'd mention it since a few people commented on them but no one mentioned HW has one.
RoCo
The more I see of these trip reports, the more I realize how MUCH BIGGER the City Museum has gotten since my only visit, a long time ago. In-Freaking-Sane. Â Even the pictures of the Arch brought back some happy memories! Â And yeah, St. Louis in the summer is as close to Hell as I hope I get. Great stuff, keep it coming! DerekRx
I miss City Museum. My knees, on the other hand, do not...especially the hamster wheel and Jake. But man was that a fun day, even if it was hotter than the surface of the sun outside that day in St. Louis. I totally missed the vault room and the piano, and I'm sure a whole lot of other little cool quirks.

I totally missed the vault room and the piano, and I'm sure a whole lot of other little cool quirks.  I forgot about that. You bit it really hard. I wouldn't be surprised if you have permanent scars from that!  What an awesome TR! Looking forward to more! I live in the midwest but haven't been to SDC, WOF, or Adventureland! Really enjoying this thread. Also I was going to mention that the big A$$ fan company that was mentioned early actually has one installed in Pilgrim's Plunge que area at Holiday World. jray21
Time for Six Flags St. Louis! The hottest day of the entire trip! It also may have even been the hottest day in TPR trip history! Supposedly it was the hottest temperature wise, but a day in Italy a few years back was purportedly much worse given the added humidity It was so hot that we even hung out in the bathroom during lunch to escape the heat! We had some incredible back stage tours and some awesome ERT! After the city museum we were all so exhausted, but luckily the park wasn't crowded so we had a relaxing day. It was an awesome day! Walking off the bus everything fogged up for quite a while! There is no way I am going to ride the Easy Bake Oven Ferris Wheel today! With this heat it's a perfect time for a backstage tour of Mr. Freeze! We had a ton of great photo opportunities! I have no clue what TPDave is doing to Robb, but the rest of us heard a cool background to the ride. Nerd Shot. Mr. Freeze, please turn on the air conditioning! One of the magical panels that make things work! Looking down the launch tunnel. Hey come on guys, no forking under the coils. Exclusive access to the launch building! There are a ton of electric panels! TPR launch tunnel takeover! I hope they remember to raise the door for the launch! The launch lasts about as long as most TPR members! Looking back to the loading area. These are just for Mr. Freeze! That's a ton of power! Can't get this shot normally! Robb is about to get a 'money shot' Mr. Freeze in all its glory! Twisty! Time for some food! There was a Krispy Kreme near the hotel and the sign was on! This fatty had 9 doughnuts for breakfast!!! One of the best named coasters of the trip! Doesn't look Evel Knievel crazy though. Time for some Evel Knievel ERT!!! I think someone was flashing the train! Woot Woot! The benefits of TPR Events! Jack and Jackie having an awesome time! Time for some Mr. Freeze rides! Whoops, did someone let an ACEr on the train? The true diehards! No Amy, don't look! Oh I get it! What jokers. Amy plays Santa Claus with Gossamer! Glad the cables held together on this ride! If it wasn't for the covering, we would not have even played one game. Time for Screamin' Eagle! It was a fun little woodie. Big Spin credit time! They have the look of bliss that can only be achieved on a TPR trip. What a cute couple! Bryan's bodyguards warn me to get the F back! Highland Fling does its vomit inducing spins! Speaking of vomit inducing, how about Excalibur? Derek has his rapture moment and is ready for heaven in October! Thank You! That place ended up being very popular towards the end of the day! Time for a lunch sponsored by Waste Management!? That can't be good! Thankfully, Waste Management sponsors the food going out, not coming in! Guy shows Barry M. Deeper the correct tassel spinning technique. You get a nice backstage tour in the Batman queue They may all be virtual clones, but at least they are 100 times better than Boomerang clones! Drop Towers are still a lot of fun (Worlds tallest at SFMM would be nice!) The face scrunch is key when riding Batman. Jack can't believe how empty the park is. Ninja was one of the most painful rides of the trip. Batman has held up very good after all these years. I think this is the most theming I've ever seen for a pirate ship. The things we do for a credit. My head hurts just looking at this picture. This fatty is extremely hot, as in temperature, definitely not looks. Derek shows that he still has got the moves. This company was started by a high school kid and is getting sued by The North Face for trademark infringement. Awesome! They had a lot of religious clothing. (I do find it ironic that Big Ugly Stick is superimposed on my reflection) Just got hungry so I had to post a food picture. Lunch was actually really good! The train was home to at least one fatty! Yay for Scooby Doo! While everyone sleeps I try to come down from my Krispy Kreme sugar crack rush! Mike Austin was doing his best to creep everyone out! Kidtums borrowed our camera for a bit. Amy looks like she has an alien coming out of her mouth! Amy has about 50 of these pictures on her phone Nothing says quality like truck stop cologne! Nothing but the best for TPR!!! Up next is Holiday World!

amyzoo
So many days were so hot, I can't remember which day was the hottest. At least there was random air conditioned places. I forgot about Ninja, that was a bad ride...
1badgmc
I was at Six Flags St. Louis last Friday. It wasn't hot so much as super-humid. Mid-80s with humidity near 80%. I was dripping with sweat all day, but at least lines were nearly non-existant all day. I rode Ninja and it didn't seem to beat me up as badly as in years past.
