Aweesa .x Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 People who think the are going to pwn you when in fact, they are the ones who are getting pwned. Â Hahaha. Oh woww.
CommanderLock Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 ^Sadly, you are likely far smarter than many of the students you're attending class with. Most of them probably need this information, and barely have any concept of how to read or write. It's sad really, but a lot of people go to college just because they're "supposed" to, not because they want to be there and learn something like you do. Â I'm with you on the textbook thing. It is one of the great scams of the modern era. I know some people can get better deals by going through Amazon or Ebay, but I know that isn't always possible for every book. Â dt I'm only in 9th grade and I've seen this reality. Should I be scared or something? Because I'm in the position of shesaidboom. Sort of.
stormrider Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 People who put up nonexistent walls between others. Â Why do video games cost $50 when the material is so cheap? I mean, why would Happy Feet for Wii cost $50 when Zelda or Wario Ware, for that matter, are much much better? And cost the same? Oh, I remember the times when they said that N64 cartridges were $60 (maybe even $70) because of material, but I know that discs are cheap. Â And yeah, I hate not being able to sleep as well.

CoastersNSich Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 "Consumer Reports" a.k.a. Credit Checks for people who NEED a job the most. Â "Sorry, you can't pay off your overdue bills because we can't hire you because you're unable to pay your overdue bills." Yes, the financial/credit business loves to talk out their assholes.
c0@ster Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 What's the deal with booty shorts? I think they're disgusting.
swampfox Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Why is every fast food place open late EXCEPT Burger King?!?! It makes no sense.
Homer Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 ^Because McDonalds is better. Â Anyways, my peeve would have to be my Spanish exam. Â At my school, seniors take their exams early and I am the only senior in my Spanish III class (which is mostly, if not, all Juniors). Where does my teacher force me to take the test? Not in a nice quiet room like I would want and expect. But she had me take the final in an empty desk in the back of the room. She went on to teach the rest of the class and it was really hard to concentrate on the final since she was teaching a class. Â Also, Direct and indirect objects better not screw up my B average!
stormrider Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 I've found some new things to rant about. For one, the idiots at my school district didn't allocate 800 minutes to account for seniors not coming to school during Standardized Testing (the school actually said they didn't have to) so now the state says they'll cut funding and charge the district two million dollars if they don't account for a loss of 800 minutes of instructional time. So guess what? Even though I, a Sophomore, have no minutes to account for (I went to tests all the days except one), the whole blunder is forcing our breaks to be shortened (to add more "instructional time"), the finals days are no longer minimum, our usual short Thursdays are now full days, and the last day of school is a full day. Â This is all beurocratic crap!!!!!!!!!! We won't even learn more. During the elongated days, they invented "study time" which equals an excuse to keep us in longer. I bet the seniors won't even show up, leaving the rest of us to spend "their minutes". Â And three-ring binders tear up my paper when the rings are even a mm misaligned. That makes me angry as well!!!!!!!!!
Carnage Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Why do video games cost $50 when the material is so cheap? I mean, why would Happy Feet for Wii cost $50 when Zelda or Wario Ware, for that matter, are much much better? And cost the same? Oh, I remember the times when they said that N64 cartridges were $60 (maybe even $70) because of material, but I know that discs are cheap. Â The cost of the media is not what the price of games are based off of. Â Games cost that much because of the cost that it takes to make the game. Â Most blockbuster video games take as long, and cost as much to make as a major movie. Â So that's why you're paying $70 for the game.
socalMAN123 Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 I pulled a muscle last week doing a really hard track workout. I may not be able to run until cross country starts in August! ---Brent
Goliath513 Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 SchoolExams End of Course Tests Tests Quizzes  That's about it right now.  Dude, you pretty much nailed it!  Spanish and Chemistry classes suck A$$ because I'm 2 weeks behind on the final project for spanish and I failed a chem test last week and I have another test tomorrow. Aargh..
Homer Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Rant: My morning bus driver. Â This year, my bus stop got a new bus driver for the mornings and by far I wonder how does the school district hire some of these drivers? Â For one, my morning bus driver is usually late. According to the schedule, he is supposed to stop at 6:55 AM, but over the past few weeks, he didn't arrive until 7:05 or later! Then, secondly, he can't drive. Â For instance, sometimes he goes 25 on a 45 mph road (and said road is not congested). Also, he can't pass cars, thats right, he can't pass cars. He'd go into the left lane to "try" to pass a U-Haul, but he can't speed up just a little bit to pass him. Instead, he just paralells into the blind spot of the other car. Â Just one more day of tolerating his crappy driving.
CommanderLock Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Its really quite pathetic when M$ or Bungie or any company promises something then takes two or more days to actually do it. Like the public Halo 3 beta. They are seemingly uncapable of sending out 13,333 emails. Instead of doing that, they spoon-fed the lame "Buy Crackdown to get Halo 3 Beta!" buyers. I for one actually got in the Rule of Three by playing 4 Hours of Halo 2, not just 3-and I even got in. Â RoT: True fans, dedicated. Crackdown Beta: Pretty lame if you ask me.
Angry_Gumball Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Was going to go to Great America (CF's) this Saturday for my dad's company picnic but it got postponed (this was one of the very few chances I'd actually get to visit a park even though local this year)....till...who knows when. So, that means that I'll be going into work that day and miss out on 4 needed credits. Oh well...maybe when they reschedule, we'll get a chance to check out Boomerang Bay as well.
Disney Dood Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Rant: My morning bus driver. My bus driver goes extra slow to make sure we're safe, often misses stops and every time there is a goose or sqiurrel in the road she stops and makes us all look at it for five minutes. Then I get to school late and my teachers don't believe my story. Â And then the head bus driver guy in my town has had his licinse suspended 16 times, and he made one of our busses into a convertible. He always has road rage and once ran over a dog. And we can never talk on the bus when he's driving, if we do, he makes us walk home. He's a poopface.
Pufferfish Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 The one thing that annoys me the most is when people call the Borg Assimilator, originally Stealth, a flying coaster. It is actually a lay-down coaster. Get it right!
Homer Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 The salad station at Panera. Â Its poorly built and it collapsed last night, causing a huge mess in the middle of dinner rush. One of these days we'll get new appliances... one of these days...
