i wish Gröna Lund take away "RockJet"(music express) ride in the future too..and replace it with another great ride.The roof of "Blå Tåget"(ghost train) its strong enough i think

The only other use of chain lifts on a drop tower I've seen is Mystika at Rainbow magicland as visible in

video, and

 

But that's about it.

Overall height of the tower is now reported to be 76 meters without the sun, so the drop height should be somewhere around a few meters below that.

All the larger SBF towers use them and also a few from Fabbri. Probably some more.

I remember watching the group go up the Star Flyer, during the TPR 2014 Scandi Tour.

 

And thinking... "damn I feel good to be on the ground, here". And then went and had a beer.

 

And I'd done a Scad Tower drop twice in these Scandi tours! But still... not these towers.
