coasterfreak101 Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Whether it races as well as the GCIs or not, this thing looks crazy impressive!! And what looks to be another new S&S launcher if I'm not mistaken? Go Happy Valley!
DBru Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Amazing. Simply amazing. Perhaps the most beautiful set of first drops on any wooden coasters in existence? I think so.
SharkTums Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Shameless Plug... This coaster and park will be featured on the TPR 2012 China Trip! Details coming soon!!!
deguy123 Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 This coaster looks amazing and I love wooden racing coasters, just adds to the fun! Shameless Plug... This coaster and park will be featured on the TPR 2012 China Trip! Details coming soon!!! Not shameless at all...lol...Believe me I think many people including myself cant wait for the 2012 trips to be announced
Two Fifteen Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Did anyone else see this? We are currently in full production for the OTC Wuhan China racing roller coaster project. We are building 4 trains (2 for each track) which totals to 24 cars. Pictures coming soon! PTC Facebook
DBru Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 That was fairly gasp-worthy. Not cool. Hope everyone gets their rides in soon. These coasters have approximately three years till they start beating the crap out of you. (Okay, so maybe I'm slightly overreacting. But still. This is quite a bummer.)
Jerrykoala2112 Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 How was Fireball running when TPR visited that park? It would probably be running as smooth (or as rough) as that! Anyways, the ride looks REALLY fun and reminds me of Lightning Racers in so many ways. It will be awhile before I will ride this, but by the looks of it, it would be worth the wait.
jedimaster1227 Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 ^The concept art for the ride showed PTCs, so I'm not surprised. Considering the size of the investment for these coasters, maybe it was just cheaper for them to stick with PTCs this time around.
Real Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Apart from the TL's providing a better ride and longer life of the ride, I really thought the whole effect of the High Five would be even more amplified with those trains.

Considering the size of the investment for these coasters, maybe it was just cheaper for them to stick with PTCs this time around. I assume they used PTCs for the concept art because it was either that or Millennium Flyers (since it was with NoLimits if I remember correctly), and they preferred not showing MFs. In any case, the original announcement touted Timberliners: Hot off the presses – ride on the brand new animation of the racing coaster at Happy Valley in Wuhan, Hubei, China. This massive racing and dueling roller coaster is the first to feature the “high five” element, in which riders are banked completely toward each other at the top of a hill. Each track will feature two of the new and revolutionary Timberliner trains. It is set to be completed in the fall of 2011. thegravitygroup.com/gravitycast/from-the-iaapa-expo-brand-new-video-of-happy-valley-wuhan-racer/
Gutterflower Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 A bit of an update on this park shows construction of several new rides and some interesting concept art. Not sure what this tower is but I assume given the positioning it is either the Maurer Sky Loop or whatever the tower at the far end of the boardwalk is in the next photo. Some awesome looking themeing here but does anyone know what that tower at the end of the boardwalk is? This image shows the new S&S launched coaster is a mirror image of the new Bullet Coaster at the Happy Valley in Shenzhen and also shows the parks Vekoma Mine Train with some very odd themeing in the bottom right. SharkTums Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Oooo, a McDonalds in the park, love it already! Can't wait to check this place out on the TPR 2012 China Trip!!!
larrygator Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 The tower at the end of the boardwalk in the concept art, looks like decoration to complete the visual image of a ship.
ernierocker Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Oooo, a McDonalds in the park, love it already! Can't wait to check this place out on the TPR 2012 China Trip!!! LOL! Everyone's eyes focus on the S&S launched coaster. Elissa's eyes immediately focus on the McDonalds in front of it!
matteocrepaldi Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 I still hope to be able to join TPR China trip next year! This park looks amazing already!
cfc Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 (edited) ^^I wouldn't have even noticed the McDonald's if Elissa hadn't pointed it out. Edited September 21, 2011 by cfc
