JRice92 Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Holy crap this is a good lineup. I wish more locals would realize this. So solid. I also think it's a very solid lineup. My list goes: 1. El Toro 2. Nitro 3. Batman: The Ride 4. Bizarro 5. The Joker 6. Skull Mountain 7. Runaway Mine Train 8. The Dark Knight Coaster 9. Green Lantern Haven't gotten to ride Superman or Kingda Ka yet, just more reason to visit again!
Canobie Coaster Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 It's so easy to complain though. But in all honesty, Great Adventure has one of the strongest coaster lineups which is why I try to make it down there at least once per year. I'd rank the coasters as follows: El Toro Nitro Kingda Ka Batman Superman Bizarro Green Lantern (on a good day) Dark Knight Skull Mountain Runaway Mine Train Harley Quinn's Crazy Train Road Runner Railway Still need to try Joker when it's open during a visit.
RollerManic Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) 1. El Churro 2. Nitro 3. Purple-man 4. Kingda Ka 5. Bruce Wayne in tights 6. Skully 7. Mean Lantern 8. The train that runs away 9. Ozzie Ozbourne's Crazy Train 10. Red-man but not spooderman 11. Not a real knight but he wants you to know he's dark I haven't been on Joker. All are fantastic up to The Runaway Mine Train, and the remaining two are just average. They're not necessarily bad. Edited January 27, 2017 by RollerManic

Jason Maier Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 How does Green Lantern rank in terms or ridership? (if no ones knows, that's fine with me) And why did they have it take the place of the highly regarded GASM? You think GL would ever be converted to a floorless coaster? (or would it be stupid to have 2 floorless coasters in one park)?
Genx24 Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 (edited) And why did they have it take the place of the highly regarded GASM? You think GL would ever be converted to a floorless coaster? (or would it be stupid to have 2 floorless coasters in one park)? From what I've read, the park was given the choice of either taking the old Chang or getting no addition for 2011. So they chose the ride and because GASM was already gone that plot of land made the most sense. And yes, it would be very stupid to have two floorless coasters at the same park. If they were ever to convert GL it would probably come at the expenae of removing Bizarro (which IMO, is a superior coaster.) Edited January 27, 2017 by Genx24
El Toro_Ryan Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 How does Green Lantern rank in terms or ridership? (if no ones knows, that's fine with me) And why did they have it take the place of the highly regarded GASM? You think GL would ever be converted to a floorless coaster? (or would it be stupid to have 2 floorless coasters in one park)? Lol well GL always has a line but I think that's due to the terrible throughput at that ride. I don't think the crew broke 800,000 people this season. Superman for instance does much better than GL for throughput and ridership overall. Why did they replace GASM with GL, because Six Flags. Haha GL does have higher ridership than GASM did though so that's one thing. As for flooress trains on GL, no way haha (unless the park tears down Bizarro and they reuse the trains on GL.) I might be in the minority but I actually prefer GL over Bizarro. I like dem forces.
coasterbill Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 How does Green Lantern rank in terms or ridership? (if no ones knows, that's fine with me) The only one who might know is Ryan. It seems to do okay, It probably has lower ridership numbers than the other B&M's due to a combination of capacity and popularity but it also has the advantage of being open for Holiday in the Park (unlike Bizarro) so I guess you never know. You think GL would ever be converted to a floorless coaster? No. EDIT: Speaking of Ryan... lol
Jcoaster Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Time is a flat circle.....It always comes back to Green Lantern. I think if anything I think it makes more sense if GL got sit down trains rather that floorless (Both aren't happening).
Sluggo77 Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Sit down trains would definitely be welcomed on GL.
boldikus Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Ahhh deep in the trenches of the off season we are.
michaellynn4 Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Both aren't happening. Both aren't happening. Both aren't happening. Both aren't happening. Both aren't happening. Both aren't happening. Jcoaster Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 ^Annnnnnnnnd that should about cover it on the Green Lantern receiving floorless trains conversation. Any updates on Justice League? Or is it still basically a lot of dirt.

Genx24 Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 Oh hell yes. My coaster cravings have been bad recently. These 60 days should hopefully fly by.
JRice92 Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 I'm jealous you all have such a short off season, I'm currently considering an early April trip. Not for sure yet but we'll see how it all unfolds.
