antmcmullen Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Just going through my Daily Stupid Websites... and i found Anyone still happy to ride that?
CorkscrewFoley Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Is there any footage of this? I would think Jeff Johnson would count it a cred...
alilstronger Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 I consider this a credit. To me any coaster is a credit and should be counted as so. But then again I am a selfish coaster whore lol. Gosh I WISH I could go on one of the TPR trips to help with my whoreness. Plus I am a fun gay! lol
BeemerBoy Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think he's asking if it's a credit or not, but rather "would you be willing to risk riding it?" I would not.
jedimaster1227 Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 I think I value my health too much to risk having a ride collapse under me just to get the credit... I'd sled down my stairs (into the wall) before I'd ride that piece of rust.
ebl Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 I saw this and considered it a "crud"it. Thanks, but I'll watch from a distance... Eric
WFChris Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 I'll just watch it from the other side of the protective barrier. . . . oh . . . snap! Nevermind Chris.
Steelinwood Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Very creepy coaster. I'm guessing it travels, and has a weight limit?
ParkTrips Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 You guys are wimps. What could that possibly do? Burst into flames? Impregnate teen girls? Give you hepatitis? It might collapse, resulting in a four foot fall.
SharkTums Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I would ride it, but not in the same train as Big Mike or Jeff Johnson! I've learned my lesson with tiny coasters and too many adults.
Steelinwood Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 You guys are wimps. What could that possibly do? Burst into flames? Impregnate teen girls? Give you hepatitis? No Just Tetanus
Airtime&Gravity Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 ^^Wait, so the incident at Coney Beach wasn't a one time occurrence? Maybe you just shouldn't let John near when you ride a kiddie coaster...in fact, don't let him near any coaster until he gets a new camera. I'm not that big of a credit whore, but I would probably ride that coaster. While I don't ride every kiddie coaster I come across, I would probably ride that one just because it looks like it will fall apart. Plus, as said earlier, it's only a four foot fall, so what's the worst that could happen?
Airtime&Gravity Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Maybe this could become a thread for any coasters that aren't worth it. Here is a coaster that appears to be a cross between a Chance toboggan and the Togo looping wild mouse. Link
odene497 Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 That looks amazing. I've always read it that people like coasters because they make you think you're risking your life. Well, most feel completely safe, so rides like this add a boost of excitement!
scooterdoug Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 ^^Yikes!! That looks profoundly painful -Doug "That doesn't mean I wouldn't take the credit" Heim
ebl Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I've ridden a Chance Toboggan. The only bad part in my opinion is the series of bunny hops at the end. This ride doesn't look like it has anything like that. Also, the Toboggan cars are enclosed, which means that your head has something to bounce off of. But this ride looks sort of fun, so I'd probably ride it. Eric
dandaman Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I think Uncle Bernie's Abandon Mine is sort of the "plywood standard" for whoredom.
thrillgeek Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Both the kiddie coaster and the crazy loopy thing look yummy to me.
downunder Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I'd ride them - you've got to die sometime, it beats expiring while you lie in your own faeces in a nursing home. That chinese coaster looks bizarre, like an arrow had a drunken one night stand with a chance taboggan.
Moose Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 That second coaster looks like it could easily chop off a limb.
disneyfan1313 Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I would ride the first and not the second. The first one is not far enough off the ground to do any real damage - the second looks like you could die on!
FLIPDUDE Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 The first one... Well, if I were there the day they decided to open it and aske dme to be first to ride it, then heck no. But if I saw it run a couple of times beforehand and saw nothing happens then sure, I'd ride it! As for the outer space flying car... HOLY COW! I have never seena nything like that (Except, well, a toboggan). That's gotta be extremely painful, but I probably would still be excited and first in line to ride. (Or, well, second. Just in case, y'know?)
