crazywolf88 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 millenium flyers on gwazi+new ride cheeta hunt=
Porsmond Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Excellent, I will look forward to riding Gwazi again when I visit BGT in May, I did think the last time I went(3 years ago) it was getting rather on the rough side, and I could tell people coming off was'nt too impressed either, No wonder there was never a queue for it
dragonskeep Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Rc Pro reports testing has started on the Lion side. The train in the photo was yellow so I guess they have 2 colors.
The SETGO Guys Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 I'll be at BGT sometime next week for Press Coverage! Can't wait to see the new trains and the Heartline!!!
aimster Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 (edited) I was at Busch Gardens today and they were testing BOTH sides of Gwazi this afternoon. Tiger's train is blue/teal. Lion's train is yellow. I was able to snap the following photos... Tiger on the lift hill Lion (it came by before I was ready with the camera) Tiger Edited January 16, 2011 by robbalvey
aimster Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I got some strange looks form people when I got all excited when I saw them testing the new trains and snapping pics. One couple asked me what was going on, so I told them and they said, "You must work here, right?" HA! Nope. I'm just an AP holding coaster nerd.
eltoro96 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I have so much happy inside me right now. hahaha that makes two of us!
Lamoure Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I have so much happy inside me right now. hahaha that makes two of us! Three, if we are true

Six Flags Enthuseast Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I have so much happy inside me right now. hahaha that makes two of us! Make that 3! ^I won't be going opening day, but I'll be going in mid-February.
koasterfreek Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I for one am elated as I have been waiting for this since I rode them in December of 1999!
coasternut Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Looks great , this ride was in definite need of help. I was there for a few days after Christmas, and it was brutal. Let's hope the new GCII trains here, make it better than the new trains on Wildcat (Hershey Park).
beatle11 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 BGT is gonna have a great year with these new trains and Cheetah Chase.
RobWarren Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I'm moving out of my apartment back to college tomorrow. As I was packing tonight, I picked up my copy of Scott Rutherford's The American Roller Coaster and started flipping through it. I was looking for a picture of Hersheypark's Comet, but what I found was really timely and ironic considering the recent addition of GCI Millennium Flyers to Gwazi. I think Mr. Rutherford may want to pursue a career in predicting the future. together at last
odene497 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I hope they keep the trains without a grid type thing in the front, I'd love to ride just hanging over the front like that. Also, while I know Millenium Flyers allow for better maneuvering and altogether a better ride, some rides with them seem a bit harsh with every seat being a wheel seat, where at least with PTC's, the first row of each car has your arse over the center. So hopefully the ride has been smoothed out, and then these will help keep it smoothed. Looking forward to riding it hopefully in the fall.
cal1br3tto Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I hope they keep the trains without a grid type thing in the front, I'd love to ride just hanging over the front like that. Me too, though it may be too much to hope for. I think I'm alone on this, but MF railings actually kind of creep me out. Don't ask why.
Skycoastin Steve Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Paiging_jen and I will be in the park tomorrow and should be able to report back with updated pics of Cheetah Hunt!
robbalvey Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 Paiging_jen and I will be in the park tomorrow and should be able to report back with updated pics of Cheetah Hunt! Please do! Lots of pics!!! Thank you!
robbalvey Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 I hope they keep the trains without a grid type thing in the front, I'd love to ride just hanging over the front like that. I'm pretty sure the banister is a requirement of the MF trains. For safety reasons and I'm sure somewhat for aesthetics.
WW1 Flying Ace Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 BGT is gonna have a great year with these new trains and Cheetah Chase. Yeah those Wild Mouse coasters are great aren't they! This is a pleasant ad-on to Cheetah Hunt. I am likely not going to get on this till Cheetah Hunt opens though. Hopefully I can get short line as everybody will be at Cheetah Hunt.
tiger01 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Someone else posted this nice picture of them on facebook. GCI's Facebook Page
U2Rox Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Yeeesss... this is Great news for Gwazi.. Now I really want to use my season pass and get to BGT this summer.. Seriously though.. I love Gwazi so I'm reallly excited for new trains.. Hopefully I'll get to go soon..
hydra Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Was at the park today. Snapped a few pics of the trains testing....Sorry for the quality. But YES they will have the "grille" on the front of the trains. Teal Yellow
cal1br3tto Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 ^Glad to see it's a themed grille, though!
