For Minnesota they have listed Soak City, A whole water park is the single most thrilling attraction in the state somehow, but worse even, is they don't even put in a picture of a thrill ride in the water park but of a lazy river, the least thrilling attraction one can think of, lazy is in the title! Perhaps it is symbolic of the effort put into creating this list.

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
WW1 Flying Ace replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
A GP person to a cast member in front of Space Mountain at Disneyland. GP: "So Space Mountain isn't the same thing as Star Tours?" CM: "No sir they are separate attractions." GP: "Which one should I get a Fastpass for?" CM: "I don't know sir it depends on which one you wish to ride first" GP: "I want to go on Space Mountain first." CM: "Then that is the one you should get a Fastpass for". Kudos to the Cast Member for dealing with that in a nice manner. I probably would have snapped in something like "No they are the same that is why they have different names" -

The "Pleasant/Unpleasant Surprise" Thread
WW1 Flying Ace replied to cfc's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Pleasant Surprises: Hurler-KD: Was expecting to come off with significantly less brain cells than prior to riding turned out to be a decent ride. Rebel Yell-KD- See Hurler Unpleasant Surprises: Kraken- SWO: Despite most raving about this I never found the layout very exciting. Behemoth-CW- Not a bad ride by any stretch but, I left this ride wanting more feeling that with its layout it should have been a spectacular ride not just a good one. -
Tallest coaster you've been on.

My first ride on I305! The four more laps that followed were pretty good too! -
Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread
WW1 Flying Ace replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This weekend I plan on making my first visit to a CF haunt at KD. Though relatively new to the haunt experience (HHN XXI was my first) how exactly should I adjust my expectations for a lesser acclaimed haunt than the ones I have visited (HHN XXII, XXI, and HOS 2011)? Will I be able to hit most (if not all) the mazes without a fright lane pass on a Saturday night? Thanks for any and all help! -
What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
WW1 Flying Ace replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Steeplechase at Scream Zone, Coney Island. Only got in 3 credits due to the extreme expense of the scream zone rides and the Cyclone. It was my first Cyclone ride after a previously unsuccessful attempt though! I'm not whore enough to pay 3 dollars for a kiddie credit. -
Overseas Adventures

I love reading poorly translated Chinese signs like the one for Rollercoaster! -
The parks will not be too crowded at the end of September as school is back in session. Disney still might have crowds well because its Disney. The dining plan is good but, beware if you try to maximize your plan you may find yourself planning your days through the meals. If you are talking about the magical express that is just from the airport to Disney hotels. The Flex Ticket is a available at ticket windows based on my experience. If don't remember Disney offering an 14 day pass the longest i remember seeing is 10. I am not sure which ticket you are talking about. Disney food will range from maybe $8-$9 for a burger and fries. To $15-$25 for decent table service and about $30 for buffets (not sure about breakfast) or fancy table service. Hope this helps!

Amazing water slides
WW1 Flying Ace replied to FLIPDUDE's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I personally find Corkscrew at Adventure Island (Tampa) is one of the most intense slides I've done. If anybody remembers peppermint twist at Water Country USA it was the most intense slide i've ridden. (it was where rock 'n' roll island is now) I also love the blue family raft slide at Aquatica it has great side to side motion. (It has some strange name) -
I got my first ride on cheetah hunt and the millennium fliers on Gwazi today! I waited about 75-80 minutes for cheetah hunt the first time with my group only for us to discover the single rider line! Then when my turn cam the ride broke a drive tire in the station so that was an ordeal. Anyway onto the ride I thought it was pretty good a more fun ride then thrilling enjoyable but, certainly not the next montu in terms of intensity. The "Airtime Parabola" was pretty good with the cleverly placed launch before. The themeing was ok the cheetah rock was nice there were some other nice touches though, nothing stands out in my memory. The end was a little rough though surprisingly. Overall a pretty good experience: 8.5/10. I thought Gwazi was a lot better then before sooooooooo much smoother. I was surprised how big a deal the trains made in smoothness. Re-rideable now definitely and not painful! A little more airtime would have made a big difference though; still a solid 7/10 now.

PHOTO TR: Cedarpoint opening day 2011
WW1 Flying Ace replied to thrillrider's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Nice TR...There are some problems they could control even with the poor weather. Like who decided to put a LeBron jersey as a 3-Point Shootout prize? Seems like a bad idea to me being they get a lot of people from Cleveland.
