edh Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 ^ That still doesn't change the fact he is one of the greatest musical artists of all time and has influenced most of the musicians today. Remember the good things he did, not the bad.
robbalvey Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 ^ Not everyone is going to agree that what he did musically was good. Personally the only thing he ever did that I found slightly entertaining was Captain E.O. --Robb
Nrthwnd Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 My thoughts and condolences (sp?) go out to her family and friends, Ryan O'Neal who stuck with her throughout a lot of the bad 'stuff' in her life, and to the actress herself, who actually proved that through some great acting roles, she wasn't just another "airhead blonde." Gods bless and keep her safe.
Movieguy Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Farrah was a wonderful woman, a capable actress, and appealing personality, who simply got unfairly saddled with a lot of rubbish in her personal life. It's so sad to see her fight the good fight against cancer, only to ultimately lose. RIP Farrah. I WON'T forget about you.
Satchboogie3 Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I never had anything against his early years music, it's when he changed. It's just too disturbing to want to watch or pay tribute to.
Zack44 Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 This is seriously the first time I've cried in years. Michael Jackson was & will always be my favorite singer of all time. May he rest in peace.
Bigben321 Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 hes a world wide celebrity im still in disbelief he will never be forgotten and he was soo young to die i mean 50? i thought he would be around for another like 25-30 years wow ... theres not much to say
Mr. Starr Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Definitely hate how that Michael Jackson thread is already at 6 pages. None of the other major news channels are reporting about Farrah, which is sort of sad.
Mechanic Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Whatever issues the man had, he was an absolutely amazing entertainer and will not soon be forgotten. If you never had the opportunity to see him perform live, you missed seeing something incredible. RIP MJ
RCFreak Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I agree, but MJ's death was much more unexpected then Farrah's (plus MJ will get way more ratings) who has unfortunately been battling cancer for the last three years. Either way it's such a shame to lose people these ways.
jarmor Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Too bad he couldn't go die in some Jungle, now we are going to be hearing about this for a while. Damn. I can't stand his(her) plastic face. He's a creep show. One less wackjob in the world... I sooo cannot wait for you to die so I can speak ill of you...
Movieguy Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 To be fair, we all kind of saw Farrah's death coming. We knew she'd been battling cancer all this time. I think MJ is getting a bit more press now, simply because his death was so sudden. When someone just suddenly dies, it makes a big impact. My dad died very suddenly, when he was only 53, so I know that impact all too well. That doesn't make Farrah's death any less significant to me, though. They were both unique personalities who left us too soon.

jarmor Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 The same can be said for his post in all fairness...
robbalvey Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 The same can be said for his post in all fairness... I don't want to argue this. I'm NOT going to argue this. I have zero time right now to deal with childish behaviour. Don't make me have to give anyone a 24hr warning. Just drop it. Comments about Captian E.O., positive or negative, are welcome. Posts flaming another member for their thoughts on the matter is not. --Robb
CHILLERLC1 Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=569052432449&ref=nf If you see it you see it, if you don't I don't really care. I don't post to Youtube. Earlier this month I rode the Sea Dragon at Beech Bend that was acquired from an auction of Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch park rides. I got up close to the loading platform to record the ride's music during a cycle. I also recall Colorado Adventure at Phantasialand was really named "Colorado Adventure - The Michael Jackson Thrill Ride."
holyblakbelt Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Here my opinion on Michael Jackson. Once you get past all the negative stuff, you can't really deny the fact that what he did musically was mindblowing. He was an inspiration to countless artists and he will be missed. It's safe to say he was a legend in the music world. RIP Michael "The Prince of Pop" Jackson.
Team Thriller Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 ^ I agree. I really don't care what his personal life was since I don't know him personally. When I listen to him sing the last thing I care about is what he did a few years ago. --James
DiSab Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 ^^That's similar to my view on it. No one can deny his accomplishments and influence within the music world. However, in my eyes, I can't get over his "endeavors" he did in more recent years. I know a lot of people will probably disagree with me on that, but its how I feel. His music is fantastic, and it's sad he won't be able to make a comeback, but I won't miss his other antics.
Team Thriller Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Definitely hate how that Michael Jackson thread is already at 6 pages. None of the other major news channels are reporting about Farrah, which is sort of sad. I think I heard Larry King mention her name, but it was only for about 10 seconds, plus the reported just changed the subject. --James
suave1226 Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 First off I want to say RIP Michael Jackson. Greatest entertainer ever. I was wondering how many roller coaster fans are going to go to Phantasialand to ride his favorite ride in rememberance of him.
Angry_Gumball Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 As creepy as I thought Michael Jackson was, it is quite a shock to hear of the sudden death, primarily of being a music legend much like how Elvis was. I heard about it at work, and it was announced over the PA system about MJ's death. At first, I just heard the name Michael Jackson and I thought someone was messing around. I turned around and one of the TVs were on showing the UCLA Med center and Jackson's misfortune.
philthephorce Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I can't believe it. His music takes up a huge portion of my memories of the late 70's through the early 90's. I'll certainly miss him. RIP Michael Jackson PS He's also the first singer that I've ever become aware of actually doing things, as far as humanitarian efforts go, besides just singing (and capitalizing) on someone's misfortune.
