dr.gumbo Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 1- The Dark knight (best film I've seen in years) 2- Wall-E (very sweet) 3- Hell boy II (very entertaining) 4- Iron man (also entertaining) 5- Indiana Jones 4 (awkward but entertaining)
rcdude Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian was my favorite movie of 2008. In addition, I also liked (in no specific order): Twilight Valkyrie Hancock Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor Quantum of Solace Unlike most people, I didn't think that The Dark Knight or Iron Man were outstanding. Of course, this could just be because I am not a huge fan of superhero movies.
Kalepi_Konei Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 1. Dark Knight 2. Cloverfield (very close) 3. Get Smart 4. Kung-Fu Panda 5. Indy Jones 4
onewheeled999 Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 1. Dark Knight (Intense, surreal, amazing all around) 2. Wall-E (Best Pixar movie ever!) 3. Cloverfield (First real freaky movie for me!) 4. Kung Fu Panda (Excellent family movie) 5. Hancock (Hilarious, not for children! ) Not including Indy 4 and Prince Caspian, that's all the movies I've seen from this year. Seriously.
AlexG8462 Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 1. The Dark Knight (without a doubt) 2. Iron Man 3. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull 4. The Incredible Hulk When choosing number five I'm caught between Wall-E and (believe it or not) The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, but I think the number 5 spot should go to Wall-E. 5. Wall-E
sushirocks13 Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 1. Dark Knight and Twilight (tie) 2. Quantam of Solace 3. Baby Mama 4. Saw V 5. Step Brothers

Wood Dragon 1988 Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Not much of a movie guy, and I have only seen Step Brothers and Baby Momma. Step Brothers was much better. Still want to see Get Smart ( <3 Steve Carell), DK, and even Love Guru.
alpengeist04 Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 My top 3 would have to be IronMan, The Dark Knight, and Wanted. ...In no particular order. Other favorites would be Indy 4, Eagle Eye, Quantum of Solace, The Incredible Hulk, Get Smart, Hancock, Cloverfield, and Tropic Thunder.

onewheeled999 Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Still want to see Get Smart ( <3 Steve Carell), DK, and even Love Guru. I was just sitting here for like a full minute thinking "They made a Donkey Kong movie?!" Then it hit me.
Ziggy Stardust Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 1.) Synecdoche, New York 2.) Slumdog Millionaire 3.) Milk 4.) In Bruges 5.) The Dark Knight
razor12 Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 1.) Dark Knight2.) Dark Knight 3.) Dark Knight 4.) Dark Knight 5.) Dark Knight ...what? I like the movie! ---Brent Agreed! Best movie of 08! Only downside to the Dark Knight was they replaced Katie Holmes (who was hot in Batman Begins!) with Maggie Gyllenhaal (Eh...)
ms13 Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Not really a top 5, but my awards for 2008: Best Movie: Wall-E - Only Pixar can make a movie about a trash collecting robot with almost no dialog interesting. Most Entertaining Movie: Wanted - While it wasn't the best of 08, I rated it higher than Wall-E, as it did the best job of doing what it meant to- entertain me! Most Underrated: Speed Racer - As someone who always wanted to get into film making, this movie blew me away both visually and emotionally. Its not often you see a movie with an actual heart that ALSO has great visuals. Biggest Surprise: The Spiderwick Chronicles - I was not expecting to like this, thinking it would be another pointless kids movie, but holy crap was it good. Fun for the whole family, with great action, and even better acting. Biggest Disappointment: Quantum of Solace - I felt like I was about to cry after seeing this movie. The action was so bad, the acting was equally as bad, the story was horrible...It was just bad. This is why you have action directors direct action movies, and drama directors direct dramas. And Casino Royale was soooo good. Worst Movie: ^^^^
