robbalvey
I noticed that the morning and evening files are different -the first file is double-compressed (.zip.gz fle) while the later one is only single-compressed (.zip file). Woah! That's really strange...the file didn't change! It's always been the single compressed zip file. --Robb
Jim S.
While downloading the file last evening (looks great by the way), I was unable to read the forum at the same time. I kept getting timeouts. Is this just coincidence, or do you have some sort of flood-protection on your server or something?
robbalvey
^ I'm not sure. I don't think we have any kind of flood settings on the server. I know I downloaded the file three times while testing yesterday and was also able to view the forum at the same time. Did anyone else experience this problem? --Robb
astroworldfan1
^Yes I did. I couldn't read any topics. It also took a long time for the forum to load again. -Tatum "Thanks again !"

I have cable and the download only took a few minutes anyway. I passed it off that my computer was hogging all the bandwidth on the download and missing the responses from the website. Everything went back to normal when the download finished. I have had this happen before. I think the problem is on my end or the cable company. ajinaz
I had no problem downloading and viewing at the same time. Thanks for the download you guys. I just finished viewing and it looks great! As for the question about paying $5 for downloads; I would like that. Including both as a package would also be cool. The last few DVDs I purchased had a free digital download included but I don't know how fancy the technology is for that since I had to have the actual DVD inserted to download along with a code. I passed it off that my computer was hogging all the bandwidth on the download and missing the responses from the website. I wouldn't expect it to be using so much bandwidth that you can't use the web though. I've had problems listening to streaming radio while doing large downloads, but there's an obvious time issue there. Web requests shouldn't time out that easily. Although, that still doesn't mean it might not be on our end. I have no idea whether there's any way to adjust the timeout time. I'm using Internet Explorer 7 on Windows XP Pro SP3 by the way. Meteornotes
No problem looking at this forum and doing other random stuff while downloading. It depends on the quality of your internet service in your area, I would guess. dt
CoasterFreaks
Once I got my head working an stopped allowing my laptop to hibernate in the middle of the download, it finally all came down okay. I did experience the "no instock" issue and noticed that when I was downloading the video, the forums would not load up. I am using Firefox 3 on Windows XP. dandaman
I'm also using Firefox 3 on XP and I could still view the forums while it downloaded (the third time...). Works like a charm now! Mozart67
Robb, I'm late as usual, but thanks for the opportunity for us to d'l one of the expeditions. The casino has actually been slamming, customer-wise,k for the past 5 days for the first time in six months, so I missed out on this and other Black Friday events, but I'm glad to see that this whacked-out economy hasn't discouraged everyone. Happy belated Thanksgiving to all! Scott
window
Just want to say a massive thank you to Robb and Elisa for doing this. I've sat through it tonight with my girlfriend and we both loved it. It's made her want to go on a TPR trip now which has saved me the massive job of trying to convince her! Weird question though. Who are the young boy and girl that are in the vid quite alot? They're with you guys at Discovery Cove? cheers again, Matt

Electerik
Weird question though. Who are the young boy and girl that are in the vid quite alot? They're with you guys at Discovery Cove? Bethany and Dallas. That's really funny. By which I mean, I feel really old. Hmmm...I think their last names were included in the credits. What was it now...Atchley? Alvin? I can't quite put 2 + 2 together....

Troll
What an awesome video!! I only managed to download it last night but it really was worth the wait. Hopefully one day I'll be able to save up enough to come on a trip with you guys. Thanks for putting it up here Robb. I would be all for the idea of downloading the dvds - I think it's a great idea. Once again, thanks for putting this video up. Andrew
sixflagsguy5
...compressing a already compressed video is pretty much pointless... Don't worry about it. It was probably somebody who doesn't post here anymore. I missed it, but it's still cool that the people who didn't miss it can put it on their ipod. I would have done it and I already have it on DVD, so it was worth your time.
strwrse1
I'm so mad I missed out on this. I didn't check my email on Friday as I was out early shopping & then came home & crashed. I didn't see the email intil early Saturday morning & was gone already. I hope you will do more of these Robb. Love to have the videos on my mp3 player. piers
I got 2 emails about this today! Hoorah!
robbalvey
^ Yeah, it seems like some of the emails didn't get delivered until today, which is odd, because the email went out last Friday and based on the amount of people who downloaded the file it would seem that most people got it when it was supposed to be delivered. The internet is a strange place and I only have so much control over it's weirdness! --Robb

Manny In England
I got an E-Mail on Friday and today. It seemed to come with the 2009 trips reminder E-mail, that could have something to do with it.
