They're so back and fourth with Terminator's opening...I couldn't see how it would be opening in May. Before you know it, the date has been set to June. Then at the Terminator tour they said May...who to believe.

SFMM Management?

Burger King coupons?

Or a look at construction...?

The sooner the better

Maybe not. Sure, I'd love to get my 76th coaster credit as soon as possible, but I want SFMM to do everything they're planning on with it. I don't want them to drop some theming or effects just because they ran out of time. I'm good for it whenever, just make it the best possible.

^ I hatehatehate pre-shows on most attractions. I don't ride Tower at DCA as much cuz I hate waiting to watch that damn movie.

I really hope the Terminator pre-show is like five seconds of someone screaming "fudging terminatooooooooor" and that's it. Please don't make it like eight minutes long like Test Track.

Pre-shows make the line seem longer. But i hope they don't put a group of people in a room and make you watch the pre-show like how they do on Tower of Terror at DCA.

Hmmm...I can see June as a realistic date. Early June seems logical as construction was slow to start. Back in November we all predicted the possibility of a delayed opening (and let's not forget the doubters who thought the whole project was scrapped!) I don't care when it opens, so long as I get to ride it before my trip to GADV June 13th.

I will enjoy Terminator regardless of whether it's extensively themed. It looks like a great layout with some good airtime---a sorely needed ride at SFMM.

The pre-ride show will just be a bonus.

They got a lot more of the lift hill up today. They have maybe half the supports up now (sorry, no pics). Saw Jay Thomas and his Posse walking through the park and picking up trash (and resisted the urge to eavesdrop). Good day today, although X was only running one train.

It's supposed to be nice this weekend. I'll bet we see a good Terminator update before Monday. I'd like to see the progress myself, but I won't be able to get out to SFMM this weekend. Fortunately, the smaller details like setting up the queue won't take that much time. I'm sure the pre-show buildings are more or less pre-fabricated boxes that'll go up fast. Most likely, whatever show props and sound systems are being designed and built about now.

Of course, while all of that's going on, the workers outside will continue to finish the track.

Don't hesitate to introduce yourself! Even if they look focused, they enjoy feedback of any kind!

Remember, this is a new Six Flags Magic Mountian.

I'm surprised that anyone hates pre-shows. I agree that they get repetitive if you've seen them too many times, however with both the Tower of Terror and Test Track examples, if you've got say an hour long line, the pre-shows are shown like 45 minutes into it. It isn't like the line suddenly would be 45 minutes without the pre-show, as there is still always a line kept after the pre-show. It isn't like the ride is sitting there so that during the entire pre-show its empty.

It's an opinion thing, obviously, and for the most part I like my theming elements without specific pre-shows to watch (I'm all about looping videos in that case, IE the video that used (?) to play before Outer Limits: Flight of Fear), but I would never not go on a ride because there was a pre-show...

This one sounds interesting. Not sure what they're going for with the theming -- Join the resistance! Ride this escape vehicle! See movie props including Terminators that aren't moving in the station, that you're supposed to be resisting!

It has potential, but it also has potential to make absolutely no sense.

"Don't hesitate to introduce yourself! Even if they look focused, they enjoy feedback of any kind!" (wrs28330)

I've run into Jay and Neal in the park, and they've always greeted me with a handshake and a pleasant conversation. And if we walk a bit, they greet random guests. It's funny to see the reaction when two obviously important park officials take a moment to at least say hi, wish them a good day, or ask how they're enjoying their day.

Yeah, SFMM has come a ways...a LONNNG way...

Only progress I was able to see was the lift. Its about half way done? Still quite a bit of track work. But they had like 25-30 guys crawling around working on it so completion may still be very soon.

PS. Sorry for the horrible quality of the photos. My camera phone isn't the best.
