viking86 Posted January 18, 2018 Author Posted January 18, 2018 I'm seriously excited about this addition. Last visit to Liseberg was in 2015 so it's definitely time for a new visit!
cal1br3tto Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Love the colors! It’s nice to see another Dive Coaster get built, but I am disappointed it’s going to have the vest restraints. Those really kill Valravn for me... It's disappointing to hear negative reviews of the vest restraints, especially as they become commonplace. I know people have different experiences and opinions, though, so I'm holding out hope I won't mind. I am glad B&M dive coasters are a thing again!
deguy123 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 I can't wait to get back to this park once the new coaster is complete! The park is AMAZING! Helix at night (a little buzzed) was the best night on a roller coaster ever! I must have road it 16 times in a row!
Anac0nda Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 I really must visit Liseberg this year as well! I skipped last year so not only Valkyria, but Loke is also waiting for me Riding Krake as my first Dive Machine was a somewhat letdown. It was fun, but nothing to write home about (and especially not worth queueing over 60 min). However, riding Oblivion: The Black Hole last summer raised my hopes a lot for Valkyria. Having even longer layout and more elements than Oblivion:TBH, Valkyria has potential to be a really solid coaster. But this is only my nitpicking, I'm sure the GP will love it (which let's face it, is the point of byuing a coaster - especially a DM). And with the theming capabilities Liseberg has proven many times recently, I may be waiting for the station building and theming even more than the actual ride!
lond Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Due to my trip to Japan, I also took today off (for fixing my jetlag) and made a visit to Liseberg to see how far they have come with the construction of Valkyria. They have some big trouble with the infamous Gothenburg clay when digging the trench for the tunnel, which is one of the main thing for the delay of the premiere of Valkyria. The normal parking lot for ride parts is to small for Valkyria, so they also use the big one. A line of concrete trucks feeds construction site. One of the small cranes, bigger ones will come... The station looks huge, the themeing will make it smaller Brakes Footers Here will one of the rides that had to move because of Valkyria end up. BIG slab of footers. /// Marcus

Anac0nda Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Liseberg meetup 2018?? Sounds good! I'd like to visit around August/September to enjoy the magnificent lights. Let's keep in touch!

lond Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Yesterday I had some errands to do in Göteborg. So I went to our usual photo spots around Liseberg with my camera. And I can say that Valkyria is going to be BIG Trackparts Some new supports Some maintenance done on Balder /// Marcus
coasterbill Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Say what you want about modern B&Ms, but it's always great to see a new large scale dive machine.
El Toro_Ryan Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Nice pictures! Valkyria looks like its coming along great. It's also nice to see Balder with a few missing track pieces on the first drop and second airtime hill. Glad to know Liseberg does maintenance on their prefab unlike that other European park. photo cred: lond
lond Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 I might have some photos of the bolts that's removed from the track of Balder. I can say that they're not straight at all /// Marcus
cookiex Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 Valkyria's going to look incredible from the highway much like Balder and Helix does.
_koppen Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 Now we are talking, this thing is going to look super imposing!
JordyC Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 From Liseberg's Facebook page, and this time in English! [fbvideonew] [/fbvideonew]
Anac0nda Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 Liseberg makes following the construction easy and fun! I lol'd at the dropped bun (we have those in Finland as well, they are delicious)

cookiex Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 That's a tight intersection for a B&M diver.
