Voxelmatic Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Can we talk about the coaster now? Please? WHAT IS THERE TO TALK ABOUT ? Hmm... good point.
bert425 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 can't go back to talking about the coaster without: (i)Ron-nie James Dio
Crazy4Coasters! Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Can we talk about the coaster now? Please? WHAT IS THERE TO TALK ABOUT ? Hmm... good point. HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... This is just the absolute BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!
bert425 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Vamp-I-Roni-ca? (yes, she's really called that!)
thestripedtaco Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 The direction this thread has taken is just wRONg.
bert425 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 (edited) ^I don't care what she is called.....yum! and somehow, an Archie Comics character is now tainted to me! Edited August 23, 2012 by bert425
molemaster43 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Iron Rattler? Ugh, that name to me is pretty bad. It just doesn't sound right. And, honestly, I have lost enthusiasm with the barrel roll idea. It just, to me, ruins the idea of a wooden coaster. A wooden coaster, to me, is a rickety, inversion-less ride that gives you a riproaring and exciting experience. I think of wooden coasters as an escape from inversions. But now, I guess that can't even be a reality.
bert425 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 well. . as Robb would say, this thread got "TWISTYYYYYYYY"
Meteornotes Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 can't go back to talking about the coaster without: (i)Ron-nie James Dio Post Of The Day. Mainly because it contains a picture of Dio. dt
Godwyn Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 If Dio (which I approve) is going to be listed, I must list iRon Maiden!
GayCoasterGuy Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Ronnie James Dio will always rock. I really really really always wanted to ask Ron Toomer if he was **aware** of the corkscrew entrances on the most of the rides he ever designed. I know he didn't ride them... but???? I mean??? Couldn't have someone said "splurging on a little more track bending could make this ride ride-able"? It's not ROCKET SCIENCE PS - oh yeah, what's up with "Iron Rattler"??? Are they that unimaginative? I mean - with Iron Shark (which *IS* a cool name) opening this year in the same state.

But now, I guess that can't even be a reality. This will be a steel coaster, so the novelty of a barrel roll is already lost on me with this. NOW, if they were to insert the barrel roll right after the horseshoe turn, so it flies into a barrel roll (or multiple rolls) as it heads back up to where the helix used to be, then THAT would be freaking awesome. It would be kinda like OutRun's finale, a set of rolls on an upward incline. The big difference is that these would be very visible to the park patrons rather than hidden off in the woods. It would be pretty freaky to watch, I'll bet.
Chain Dawg Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 The next time you have a thought... let it go. - iRon White
Skycoastin Steve Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 iRon Jeremy. A woodie so good, it'll give you a woodie!
ArizonaGuy Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 ^^ bwahahahaha!!! Gotta love a nice big woodie! (not Ron Jeremy's......The New Giant Iron Horse Texas Rattler)
almightyfire Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Well there goes the traditional woodie. I will miss them.
cfc Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 ^I think you're overreacting a bit. I doubt that the "traditional" wooded coaster is going to disappear.
