The Angry Darren Mullins
I am not sure if this has been a topic here or not, but I would like to try to guess the name of Carowinds' Boomerang. I think it will either be called Moccasin or Cottonmouth. With Cedar Fair possible going with a reptile name for the ride, either of these names make sense. The cottonmouth, or moccasin is common in the south and the coaster will be built very close to the water park. I may not be right, but I think my guess is pretty good. I also think these names are good names for a coaster.
montezooma
I am betting they go with "Flight Deck" since they haven't used that brilliant name yet at the park. Â PS. We need the brilliance of David Mandt back at the park!
kdman76
How about Boomerang- The Boomerang Coaster
montezooma
even better would be "Boomerang: coast to coaster" that has got to be the dumbest name ever for a coaster  Sounds like a sure thing!
Rollerman87
Ooh, how about "Steel Roller Coaster"! Generic and straight to the point. Â But really, I think perhaps Venom Or Fangs. I'm serious.
haux
I'm going to say Diamondback. Just so the chain covers every possible base people can complain about.
sushirocks13
what about Cobra since the first two inversions on the coaster are the Cobra Roll
gk
(Laser Snake Horse on Fire-erang.) Â Â King Cobra sounds plausible.
The Angry Darren Mullins
Cobra, King Cobra and Venom are all decent names for it. I still think Moccasin or Cottonmouth fits because of the area where the park is located. I wonder if Cedar Fair will use the old King Cobra sign from Kings Island for the ride. astroworldfan1
I have a feeling they won't even name the ride. Â -Tatum
BarryH
Headbanger's Ball  I have a feeling they will just name it Head Spin.
kdman76
I think they should rename invertigo at KI Nighthawk. Then name name the boomerang at Carowinds Firehawk.
Capitalize
Boomerang or "headspin" Â Â Sadly I strongly think one of those two will be the "new" name.
alpengeist04
I like the name "The coaster formally known as Head Spin" myself. Â ...they could also just give it a symbol or number . I'm thinking * or maybe 911.
SpartanTS
They could name it Head Spin, and use all the old signage. I see that as a definite possibility. Â I still can't believe that Carowinds got yet ANOTHER used Vekoma, under different ownership. That has to be a record.
coasterstud522
Honestly I don't think anyone can guess it. Maybe they'll be really creative and name it Deja Vu..... Â Â Seriously though, because it's location is next to the water park with the new wave pool, BOOMERANG Bay, they might name it "Boomerang". Team Thriller
I'm guessing "The Ride of Boomerang: The Ride" Â I'll also guess Headspin. Or maybe "Headspin, ache, and crackle: The Ride" I'm sure they'll use the same signs and all. Was Headspin any good compared to the other Boomerangs?"
