Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

P. 835: The Beast re-tracking effort announced!

Recommended Posts

Its been very hot and dry in southwest ohio over the past 2 to 3 weeks. Probably not much runoff to help refill it.

Oh. So soak city wasn't closed for inclement weather.....

Considering I was in town then - it rained almost all day booth days. Coney Island didn't even bother opening on the 4th. Stricker's Grove did open anyway on the 4th though

I will not post the picture but according to @27yankfan on instagram, a semi with LOTS OF WOOD was spotted in the parks parking lot. And from the looks of it, it looks like the wood is for track

Also more of the giant I-Beams have been placed vertically along the train tracks.

It's been speculated that the wood + beams are for a retaining wall. They're not for coaster track.

The wood shown in that photo is not of a high enough grade to be used for a wooden coaster.

Neither was the wood for Son Of Beast. But you didn't see that stopping them from building that hunk of trash.

Well, for all intents and purposes, that was a Paramount fuck up. Not Cedar Fair lol!

I will be returning to the Island on Thursday. Expect uneducated 2017 guesses, a lot of whining, complaints about parking fees, a little bit of local beer, Skyline chili, and trash can reviews. Maybe a pointing shout out for the other Zach

Went to the park yesterday, July 16th 2016 and got some shots for ya'll.

It was a pretty busy day yesterday, so we spent some time swimming, so we didn't get many rides, but some of the lines were okay. I knew the risks of coming on a Saturday in July.
