Something has happened at Kinks Island. They have 2 fire trucks and 2 fire rescue vehicles on site as well as other emergency vehicles. They have the area to Flight of Fear and Firehawk blocked.

EDIT: The fire has been put out and there were no injuries.

At the park now. Lots of fire trucks and a news helicopter or two around FOF but about to get on Racer so it probably wasn't tooooo serious because coney mall is still open and well...so is the racer.

Also X Base is open and in line for Firehawk. Outer limits is of course down for the rest of the day.

Here is what Don posted on KIC:

 

Today, at approximately 2:40 p.m., the Flight of Fear roller coaster was shut down after smoke was detected inside the ride. Kings Island emergency personnel responded quickly and guests were safely evacuated from the ride and returned to the park. Initial investigations indicate the smoke was caused by an overheated motor. As always, the safety of our guests and associates remains our number one priority.

I heard that the fire was actually at stunt coaster. It was located near the helicopter.

I don't know about premier's but those things seem to get really hot. I noticed how on possessed at dorney they had dozens of fans pointed at the LIMs and you could really feel the hot air coming out of them.
