I would say it will begin soon.

 

Location training for the Ride Department begins on April 5th. So one would think that the coaster has to be ready and certified by then.

She's lit up like a Christmas tree! Also, load testing starts next week according to some sources.

I hope that if they chose to have floodlights, then only feature them on the first drop, dive loop, and loop. After that, the second half should be in pitch black darkness.

I'm assuming that they'll replace the animation with a real photo that looks like that, and won't just keep it an animation?

In order to do that they'd need to shoot a full train on media day and have the design team put that into the design, then print the maps, ship them and distribute them throughout the park in less than 24 hours (or switch them out mid-season which isn't really necessary). I'd think these will be in use as is all year, and they look fine as-is. Sure a real image might be better but it's not really practical.

Cedar Fair has used renderings on their park maps for years now with the exception of the years where a park might have gotten a low-key addition. I don't mind the renderings.

I think the cover looks great and since I don't think KI is getting anything major in 2015 I would expect an actual picture of Banshee will grace the cover of the 2015 park guide.

Most things from the park feature renderings, if they have anything to do with the ride. I know that in 2009 Diamondback had a rendering on the bottle. In 2011, Windseeker was a rendering on park maps, and bottles. I'm assuming Banshee will do the same

I'm pretty sure it will stay as a rendering on the map throughout the year. (KD did it with I-305 for the 2010 map cover, and then they used a real picture of the ride the following year, for example.)

The photo booth doesn't look that interesting-hope they aren't done with it. Maybe some paintings of a banshee and a full moon...

I am quite fond of the construction-related theming items they have though. And no TV monitors or computers for employees to select and print the photo, it gives a much more modern and streamlined look. I hope they don't touch a thing.
