Ever get into a fight at a theme park?

Recommended Posts

...Either get into a fight or get into a heated shouting match?

I know its unusual to ask, but the reason why I ask is I almost got into an altercation on July 3rd at Busch Gardens, Tampa...not by my own doing (of course).

I found $10 bucks on the floor near the Katonga theatre, some kid must've seen me & tried to be slick about it saying "I think I lost "some" money around here, can U let me know if U find it?", so I say, "nice try kid".

the kid decides to be a real ass & lets everyone know walking in front someone lost "some money". Argh!!! So what happens? Some redneck looking dude with tattoos all up & down his arm is like, "hey, I dropped some money" (notice the term "some money"...no one can tell me $10).

Guy is staring me down like he wants to swing..he has a big party of rednecks with him. I give him a teeny big of a hardtime...but I was with my wife, 2 little kids & sisters and didn't have much backup, so to avoid possibly getting my ass handed to me in front of lots of guests, I hand him the crumpled bill. Was it his??? I dunno, could've been, but maybe he knew he had a better chance of getting it than anyone in that vacinity.

I'm from Brooklyn, NY and I'l admit I somewhat "pussied out" (will I ever live it down?), but I think the scene would've turned a lot uglier had I decided to keep the dough. If I had at least 1 of my boys with me...oh well.

Never had this happen to me at a PARK of all places, and I've been to HHN & Howl-O-Scream many times (when people are getting drunk like a skunk all night long).

Just thinking about it again gets me pretty heated up! After all, its pretty fresh.

Anyone have an ugly situation crop up while your trying to get your "fun on"?

While working at Cedar Point, I had a nasty habit for pointing people out with the height candy cane. Let's just say, during my 4 1/2 years at Cedar Point I have had more than 10 people arrested by Cedar Point Police and sent to the Sandusky Police Station. Don't mess with my park and don't mess with me! 8)

I got into an argument with a little 6 year old. It was not at an amusement park but at the zoo I volunteer at. It kind of sounds stupid that I being 15 and she being 6 and we getting into an argument. It was a special day called goodbye Dudley hello Africa. There going to tear down Dudley Field and make an African part of the zoo. Anyway, we had games and stuff and I was walking and this stupid little 6 year old girl pushes me. I got mad and said whats your problem!? She started saying bad words that 6 year old girl shouldn't be saying. I started yelling at her and stuff until her mother came. It was funny because when she saw her mother she shut up. Her mother had already heard what she said and the mother slapped her across the face. She was a little evil thing.

I have had my fair share of arguments with guest when I worked at SFOT. The worst was on Conquistador, this Dad was very determined to make his 6 yr old ride. As I was checking the lapbars the kid grabs my arm balling his eyes out pleading with me not to make him ride. I quickly unlocked the restraints and let him out. He yelled at me, and I advised him to leave or I was going to call security and walked over to the park phone. He left, and I got a nice applause from everyone else on the boat

I wouldn't say a fight, but some kid and I got into a disagreement over music and any time he would see me he would start yelling and talking crap. My friend and I laughed it off.

I guess I kind of deserved it. I had a Slipknot t-shirt on and this guy pointed it out and was talking about how awesome Slipknot is and how they're the coolest. Me on the other hand noticing he had a Kittie t-shirt on said "yeah, but Kittie sucks." That's when he got mad. I think my friend and I heard him yelling at me while he was in the corkscrew part of Kumba also.

I had a couple verbal fights a while ago. The first one, I mentioned here before about how my cousin and I spotted and vocalized about a group of some teenage preppy valley girls (like 3 of them or so) coming back in line after they left (or they weren't even there to begin with). The ride op heard the friction going on as we got closer and he made them have to wait it out while we got to ride.

The second bit of friction happened at SFMW after my brother and I used our complimentary ride pass to ride the eversobusy Zonga. The ride op directed us to go take a spot so we grabbed the front. A group of some teenage girls began to whine and complain "Oh, that ain't fair!" so we told them to shut it. They were mad because we took the seat in which the airgates never opened for them yet. More friction continued and finally the train was dispatched. I waved at them and smiled as they were angered at us. It's funny to get people looking for troube mad

My solution to line jumpers besides vocalizing about the issue is to dileberately block the queue if they walk past you. If they hop the railings while you find your way through the maze, then you vocalize.

Ok so this one time I was at KBF and this dumb stupid little 5 year old says in the line for Xcelerator, "This coaster goes 100 miles an hour" and I turned around and laughed in his face and said "No, you little bitch, it only goes 82!!" And he said "No!" And then I shoved him. And then he shoved me back. Then I punched him really hard and just started wailing on him until his face was a bloody pulp. And I was like "What WHAT!"

lol that was a fun day. btw i rode xceleator three times.

I've never gotten into any 'fights'...probably since I'm a girl!

I've yelled/made comments at my fair share of: Line Jumpers, Stupid People, people making a crying scared to death kid ride some awful ride, parents who put their kids on a leash, etc.

I had a shoe thrown at me when I worked in Guest Relations! (that man was quickly escorted out by security)

Oh, and I had some kids thrown out of SFMM for being mean to a squirrel...that was pretty awesome! They were stupid to be mean to a rodent in front of me!!!!

I have seen 2 teenage girls get in a fight. It was awesome. They were fighting over a guy. One of the girls pulled the others hair and slammed her into an ride wall. She passed out and they had to call the police and ambulance. When she got knocked out the other girl started saying sorry and I didn't mean too! It was so funny. This is what was funny about it.

- Nobody was trying to stop them

- The guy just looked and laughed

- The girl was saying sorry to a knocked out person

- The girl was arrested

- There was a huge group of people watching

I was also at busch gardens tampa and in line for sheikra on opening day. Well of course there was some down time and its was pretty hot so the park was handing out free bottle water. Well these dudes, I think they were latin, start cutting people like it was a normal thing to do. People were saying things to them but they would reply, "mind your own f%ckin' business". Sad to say the people backed down. Standing right behind me (because the line jumpers were not too far from behind me) were this group of like 5 black chicks (from the way freestylinut sounds maybe some of his kin folk... ) watching the whole ordeal and as soon as the latin dudes got close to them one of the black chick was on her cell phone and she was talking to somebody but obviously she wanted the latin dudes to hear her.

She was like These Muthaf%ckas 'round here cuttin but I wish like hell they try to get in front of me!". The the other chicks chimed in and was saying things like sh!tttt its hot as hell out here and they playin games! Then one of them was like, "they gonna get the free water right up side they got damn head. Needless to say the latin dudes went to the end of the line but it was funny as heck watching all of that!

yes i was in front of a guy with a ponytail and i told him to shave it off. Then' he beat the crap out of me... I'm very proud of me

I think that was a little uncalled for, its not for you to judge which hairstyles are acceptable. Unless he had a mullet. That would be perfectly fine.

haha.. these are awesome!

I'm not really a violent person and am pretty laid back.. but working at IOA for a year and dealing with Horror Night crowds.. I broke up a few! Well.. tried.. more like called security/OPD and had them deal with it as my 5'9" and 150 lb sober ass would have gotten pounded down.

when i was 12 i was at CP and Queing for Raptor. I tried buying a water at a machine that was in the middle of the que. since the stupid machine wouldnt take my money, my family went far ahead of me. When i got the water, my family was across these open space under the station. I walked under the fence across the gap and went to my parents. Then a 45 year old person walked up to me and started yelling at me. I told him the story and he was like "o". So i was 12 and i was freaked out so i always bought my water before I qued.

This one time not too long ago, I went to SFMM with my cousin and we were waiting for Goliath at night. Well there was a group of about 7 kids ahead of us. They kept on chruping their friends to come and meet them in the goliath line. (OMG, they were soo annoying) They must have invited another 7 at the least. Anyway, I was just about to say something about it when a guy infront of them yells out, "You know, I'm not sure your suppost to be doing that", they girl who he was talking to said , "Fu*k you then!" He sorta backed off" But then about 2 minutes later a security guard come walking through the line. (It was kinda funny because he had to sqeeze by everyone) Anyway, he tells the girls and one guy to leave the line or he'll have to ask them to leave the park. She says "We didn't do nothing wrong" Anyway, after about a minute of arguing she tell's him that she's not leaving. So he grabs her arm and walks away and tried to get her out of the line. She yells out "Get your fu*king white ass hands off of me", at this point nobody cares about moving foward in the line. We all just want to watch. "I'm going" she says in a little bit of a lighter voice. Her friends just kinda hang back against the rails. "You too, come on" As he points to her friends. They all walked out of the line. Thats the last we saw of them. So, not an actual fight but close.

Wouldn't really call this a fight, but more like road rage on a go kart track recently at a local Boomers. I was just racing around using my mad skills passing other sunday drivers and road blocks and then this teen age white gangster wannabe and his dad (old enough to be my grandpa) doubleteam and try ramming me into the wall. After a lap of dealing with their stupidity, I rammed them back and tailgated the kid the entire lap through. The end result was me being pulled off the track on the last lap. Result of that, I talked to the Park Manager on my next visit and my unlimited ride/game band was given free. Yet I had a blast pulling off my road rage!

So I asume this was a verbal racism attack then....

Back in 2003 I was walking in the P.O.T.C queue in DLP anyone who's been there will tell you its a very wide queue area. Well anyway my wife and I are walking along and a group of three French teenagers are walking up are arses... Now we are not walking slow or anything through the queue but its quite dark so we are just walking normal. Next thing they are mumbling something in French. Then the cheeky so and so's are walking past us (queue jumping) and also has the cheek to knock my shoulder. Well sod this... I grab him by the shoulder and tell him to get the hell back behind us. So they drop back behind us.. still talking crap and laughing at us im sure. So i turn round and say whats the frickin problem. They look at me like all quiet... I say just pack it in and remember where you are..... Thankfully when we get to the station we are on a seperate boat.....
