^Granted, the smoothness of ANY arrow is which seat you're in. What are the best ones?

For Canyon Blaster, pretty much any seat however best rides are in rows 1-1 and 6-1

It's been said before but it also helps that these rides are indoors in a climate controlled building.

^ Very slightly, it would be an insult to the great work the park's engineers do on those rides to say it's the building doing all the work. The park just doesn't cut corners and do everything as cheap as possible like we are used to with parks like Six Flags, they actually keep it up.

 

As for where the best seat on Canyon Blaster is... I don't think there is one. You get a pretty consistent ride all around the train. They are all great.

Now that the construction of the track is done, I still am having trouble figuring out the layout. I'm really interested to see how it rides when it opens!

Dispatch from station, left turn and up the lift, turn to the left, drop, bank to the right, block brake, outward banked turn to the right, inward banked turn to the right and twist and dive, up to the next block brake, extended "trick track" outward banked right turn, over the station, then final twist and dive into the final brake run.

 

I believe I got that right lol!

No definitely don't mean to take away from the obviously good work that they do, just saying it helps a bit that they aren't exposed to the elements, like rust from rain, dirt and dust from the wind, or the hot Nevada sun baking the rides in the summer.

They are working on electrical and final tightening of all nuts and bolts. One of the cars still under wraps is near the transfer track. Work is also continuing in the station. Control panel and enable buttons are in place in the station as well.

At this point with the track assembly complete they can work during the day finishing off the little stuff. Hopefully we will see testing soon.

That's the great thing about the El Loco's. If I recall correctly Green Lantern at Movie World started vertical construction around early October 2011 and was finished early - mid November and then it was another week or 2 of electrical work before testing started in the last week of November with soft openings 2 weeks later. Obviously given the room constraints this would take longer here, but they are a very quick ride to assemble. I just really hope this ride doesn't have the amount of downtime that Green Lantern had, but S+S should have fixed the faults with the newer train designs by now I would hope.

Drove by this morning and saw 2 more of El Loco's cars sitting outside of the park, so El Loco has at least 5 cars. Two were inside yesterday, (the IAAPA Display Car, and one in the ride area), one that was on the loading dock patio, and the 2 that were outside. Didn't have a chance to snap a photo but they are there!

The first cars are now on the tracks! Also appears to be a tool that they are using to check the passenger reach envelope.
