Its always cool to see pictures of a couple of small European parks that you usually don't hear about. sfne2005
Robb, no more pics of Big Mike please. TPR is inundated with enough of them in the "I adore myself Big Mike Roadshow" thread.

robbalvey
Day One - Parc Asterix I've not had much time for full updates so I'll get everyone caught up on these mini-updates. It was a great day at Asterix...on to our next stop on TPR's 2008 Europe Tour. Walibi Belgium! Many faces of the TPR army. And they turn you into one of Caesar's soldiers! First get your picture taken.... TPR takeover on the new mad house! ...KidTums is old enough to get her own seat! Time for lunch.... "Beat you there Steve!" Steve is getting all the credits in quickly so he can get back to the bar. Young Jeff adds another one to the count. Here is the "credit whore" group. Tonerre de Zeus was running very well! Ahh, this is why. He's secretly a cross dresser and wants to hang out with the panthers. Zeus looks pissed off with us. But first some woodie ERT! Oooh....we see you evil vekoma death machine! We will get to you later. Poor, poor Jeff. We gave him a good burial. Time for some bobsled that "Isn't themed to a bobsled" ERT. Our first group photo! Yay! Theme Parks based on cartoon characters is sexy!
AlmereStars
we didn't get back to our vekoma death machine aahw well the other coasters are better anyway and KidTums: Congrats on your own seat!
Chadley
These reports have been so awesome so far, I so wish that I could be there...and as I always say, "Maybe...someday, I'll get there!". - There are so many things about this trip that have been so much fun to see so far. Never get tired of seeing Zeus in panties! It's sounds like it could be another movie, I mean we already have Men in Tights! - Plus, I love the way so many parks are starting to incorparate photography and visual imagery to get the riders involved, (such as the mad house and the Simpsons, and to some extent the Dark Knight coasters). - Kidtums has been adorable, and the pics at the Eiffel Tower are classic. - And as I said in an earlier comment, some of these parks have been so unique and crazy, they are almost irresistable. robbalvey
Day Two - Part One - Walibi Belgium or "Wobbly Belgium" Awwww.... Next up the Adventure Parc ropes course! Here you go Kristen, this is more baby friendly.....what are you spelling with your Legos? Even KidTums got in on the action! The hotel bar was rockin with beer and billiards. Except for the old people. They missed out. On the bus there was a bit of hot action. A cream-filled snack before heading out of the park. "Cow Room" Yeah, Turbine was awesome. Damn you! Noted! These are the photos that make men cringe! We love it when the local TPR hot chicks meet up with us! (Big Mike loves it too!) We met up with some friends of Theme Park Review! It's exactly the same as the new one at Hard Rock Park, but this one has some nice theming! Here's a very good Vekoma mine train! "Is that a bird on my head? Um, yeah...why is there a bird on my head?" "Hi, my name is Steve and I am sad and pathetic." They allowed us to ride provided that 1. We rode only two adults per train and 2. we had to say to the camera "I'm Sad and Pathetic." (Wait until you see the footage, it's AWESOME!) Now it was "Sad and Pathetic" kiddie coaster time. Hello everyone. Meet Bob. He makes the ride awesome. A whole lotta love for this classic Schwarzkopf shuttle loop! (Thankfully we didn't get stuck upside down!) But the ERT favorite seemed to be Turbine! For ERT we also had Cobra - Cha Ching! And for a Vekoma, you would think it would be rough, but it's really not. Loup Garou is a really fun coaster! See! Happy! A little bit of woodie ERT makes the group VERY happy! (Even if it is a Vekoma woodie.) Mr. Wobbly himself was there to meet the group! Groteslurf
^^Essentially, Vertigo is the "Flying Turns" of Walibi Belgium. LOL. Only 1 big difference : Vertigo has been open already for the bigger part of last season and a month or so this season. The 'good' side is that Walibi can announce their new ride next year for the 4th year in a row. Talk about saving money on investments I had the chance to ride it last summer and made a TR of it : Vertigo TR BTW, I love the Europe trip updates. robbalvey
Day Two, Part Two - Adventure Parc Ropes Course Lots of photos by Hanno Roos While we were planning this trip Elissa thought it would be a good idea to get a bunch of TPR members together to do some "extreme" activity and the choice was to do this Ropes Course Parc in Belgium. Now that we are done with the ropes course it's time to make an army of cheese and salami creatures to take over the world!!!! The bus isn't here yet so Terrance has another plan for getting back to the hotel. Terrance gets the Elissa statue credit! Wheeeeeee! Miles always has the best expressions doing this stuff. "I've always wanted to be Tarzan...and now I am!" "I've havin' too much fun for this to be hard!" Some of the ziplines are REALLY high up! "What's the big deal guys? This is easy!" Hey Ma! Check out this ass! ....That's gotta hurt! Larry on the zipline.... "Ok, this sucks...." "I'm making this look easy aren't I?" "God? Is that you?" Ryan may be similing but I'll bet there's a few "oh sh1ts" under neath! "What the hell did I sign up for?" Now on your back it gets a little harder. The first few ropes look pretty easy... And here is our group of brave adventurers....is it just me or does this look like it could be an auto mechanics convention? Get the harness for the zip lines... Time to suit up.... "Please whatever you do....please do not die!" TPR members are going to be swinging through the trees, riding on ziplines, and basically having a near death experience. It's going to be awesome!
