Mechanic
I'll second Ghostrider at KBF. I ride it every time I go because I guess I'm secretly hoping it'll be smoother than the last time I rode it. (It never is.) It gets me disoriented depsite the fact that I know the layout. (I think that may have something to do with my crushed spinal cord somehow disabling normal brain function.) I have actually had genuine fear that the lap bar and seat belt might not be able to keep me restrained from the explosive ejector seat air that I've experienced on some rides in the last seat. I have come very close to praying for death before the ride is over. So yeah... It's my favorite death machine.
DBru
I love Skyrider at PCW, despite it being a nut-squashing, headbanging TOGO standup. Â Agreed.
R.C.
Zonga. I liked it, but still. Just wow. Â I agree. I really liked Zonga in the front row or the back row, but any where in the middle was extremely cramped and rough. I thought it was better than Kong, but I still only rode it a few times each time I was at the park.
Angry_Gumball
Zonga was one of 'em. Not that I really considered it a death machine as there were others far worse out there. Non coaster-wise, I like Revolution/Endeaver at CGA. That thing just makes it's full revolution, leaving me hanging upside down for what seems like minutes. brandon
GhostRiider, that ride is amazing, and for me the crazy roughness adds to it!
disneylanddork50
Canyon Blaster @ SFMM. Seriously, Pysclone. I really felt that I was going to die. I started writing my will in the que. >>Jake
christianscoasters
Diamondback at Frontier City. OMG it is rough sometimes, but not always, but it is so enjoyable and I rode it 8 times straight once. Unfortunately, this guy sitting in front of me was on his 21st run Dammit he beat me.
ebl
Psyclone, Flashback, and, on my last visit, GhostRider. Eh, some of you have already mentioned those. Â But for my answer, I'm going to say X. Not X2---X. It beat me up worse than any other ride I've taken. The ride on X2 is somewhat better with the new trains, to the point of being tolerable, so I'll continue to ride it occasionally. But X, no, I gave up on it a few years back. Â Eric
Skittlebrau
Psyclone was so bumpy I thought I was riding a horse. It was slow enough that it didn't really seem painful, so I actually laughed out loud while riding it for the first time, and I had to check the trains afterward to see if it was using square wheels. Â I usually like a little roughness on wooden coasters, but for bone-rattling pain, I'll vote for Predator at Darien Lake and Mighty Canadian Minebuster at Canada's Wonderland. I couldn't wait to get off after reaching the bottom of the first drop on both of those. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but I have no desire to ever try them again. MisterP
Not sure I understand this thread. "Favorite" as in my favorite to reride? Well "none" would be the answer because I'm too old to reride a coaster that causes me pain. Â Now if by "favorite" you mean the coaster that I can laugh at and call a death machine, then I'm on board. Â I've ridden many backbreakers, but my favorite terrible coaster has to be Pirates Hideaway at Casino Pier. Wow, is that one big pile of crap. packfanlv
Psyclone at SFMM was so rough, but I still rode and enjoyed it every time at the park. I also think Cyclone at SFNE is rough, but I just didn't enjoy it. For some reason I left without a smile on my face. Â I also left X beaten up several times, but it didn't stop it from being one of my favorite coasters.
steel
Voyage comes to mind. That ride will beat you to a pulp and convince you that you're about to hurtle into a tree, but it sure is fun.
Calakapepe
Son of Beast is probably my roughest experience on a ride. (I haven't been to many parks.) But my roughest ride that I actually enjoyed would be Vortex. It's pretty fun and smooth-ish, it just "rough" from the head banging.
nay
Another vote for Ghostrider here. I didn't know anything about it before I rode it, and I felt like I was close to death on that thing. I also dragged my poor mother on it. Yeah, she hates me now.

Disney Dood
Cyclone at SFNE. Every brain-pounding second is amazing.
Team Thriller
Viper at SFMM. When I rode it, a few years ago, it gave me the longest headache, but I loved it. Â Also vekoma SLC's usually are my favorite death machines. Â --James
TheStig
^I've had nothing but smooth rides on Viper, but this was after the repaint and overhaul of the trains. Â My favorite death machine has to be Iron Wolf. It ruins your skull now, but I still love it and its retroness.
DCody
Portable Schwartzy's always feel like death machines. Â However, I have never been more scared of a coaster falling apart than on the Wild Mouse at Playland in Vancouver.
Corkscrew
However, I have never been more scared of a coaster falling apart than on the Wild Mouse at Playland in Vancouver. I agree so much. I was too freaked out that the ride creaks, rattles, and shakes to actually enjoy it. The part of the track that goes out over the line shakes like hell. While riding I swear that one of the wheels on my car came off the track for a second xD Despite this, I know it's perfectly safe. Â I'd say my favourite death machine is Corkscrew at Playland (which is also at Alton, Flamingoland, and some other parks). The ride is really fun, but if you don't know how to ride it, you could could come off with a massive headache. Like the other Vekoma Corkscrews, you have to push your head back really hard or else it will bang your head around a lot.
evil saltine
Revolution at SFMM. I finally figured out the right way to stick my head out though.

no_brain_er
The now defunct Hurricane cat 5 at MB pavilion. OMG that thing was so painful, I was just ready for it to end. Â Agreed. Or the Dahlonega (sp?) Mine Train at SFOG. Recently it has really sucked a LOT! Â ...But I still love it.
