I apologize....I took them all down yesterday and today. I forgot about the posting rules and unauthorized picture taking on the rides. Anything that I did wrong I accept the consequence for, but I guess I got caught up in the excitement of just being there at the park.

Again, sorry for the mess up...

To me, if Skyrush is going to be the name of a coaster it would best fit a launch coaster. I don't really understand how you would get a 'skyrush' from going up a lift hill. I believe the name would be better applied to a launched drop tower or an Intamin Accelerator.

Maybe they are also going to get a new flat along with a new coaster for next year? SkyRush sounds like a decent name for a Screamin' Swing. It could be possible!

Amen, these things are awesome!!!!

Sky Rush is fine. No better or worse than something like Sky Rocket or Storm Runner.

I agree. At least it's not Flight Deck or Cheetah Hunt.

I guess the real question is if SkyRush will be presented by Geddy Lee or Neal Peart. Will the ride include a 20 minute drum solo?

No love for Alex Lifeson?

SkyRush sounds like a boring generic name to me but if this thing turns out to be a mega lite then I could care less. I've always been interested in riding one of those.

I guess I never really thought about other bad (unappealing?) coaster names... I just accepted "Storm Runner" and "Fahrenheit" as coaster names subconsciously, but SkyRush isn't being accepted as easily - to me, at least.

I dunno...if the park goes out of the way to create the games it plays maybe it will do the same and make up a name for products??

Posted

And the game continues: O'connell Pluming and Drain has a new site- and now has a login screen... let the search begin for the name and password- and hopefully it will be cracked quickly...

Holy crap, it is just a name that was registered. Doesn't even mean it is for the coaster. After all the name should not change the perception of the ride itself! I really couldn't give 2 shits about a ride name as long as it delivers!!!! And from everything that has been going on with this "game" and seeing "large" support type pieces which eventually lead up pretty high to smaller pieces, I am sure this thing is gonna deliver! For all that matters they could just name it Roller Coaster and be done with it...... Or, they could have a contest like they did with Storm Runner and let a vote decide the final name, that would be cool!!

Quite possibly, we could have two projects going on at once.

Walter from the 2012 Project Facebook group snapped this photo today at the park. Looks like the LaMarcus Brothers and O'Connell Plumbing are now advertising inside the park.

Here's my photo. I really like the feeling that they are trying to make this game open to everyone.

I'm with you there! I don't understand the silly complaining about this alleged ride name.

An animated GIF has shown up on the O'Connell Plumbing and Drain site on the Client Login page:

The first pic was taken near the location of the image below, near the restrooms. The text "endofline." might indicate that this is where the station for the new ride will be, or it may indicate that this is where we will find the end of the barcode.

ocd.thumb.jpg.a9a0dfa97f423ceef7f4d4d18acd4505.jpg

The second pic should be fairly obvious: those restrooms are going away with the new construction.

The third image is weapons from the game CLUE plus half a barcode. Clearly the barcode has a clue in it once we find the other half.

In the fourth image, is that bench located in the same area as the first picture? It looks like a different style of bench than the ones in the Google picture, but they may have replaced the benches since Google went through. My only guess for "hellotornadoman." is that "tornado man" might be a reference to Fred O'Connell (he designs toilets, and a toilet flushing looks like a tornado), who could show up on th bench. We also might find the other half of the barcode there, which will lead us to more information on "tornado man".

The fifth image shows the same bench with the date 07.18.11. Clearly, whatever we are meant to find there (Mr. O'Connell or a barcode), we will find it on the 18th.
