P. 418: Camp Snoopy expansion announced including new family coaster

I'm trying my best to contain myself! That drop is beyond amazing! I wonder how many Millennium Force fans we go have left when this bad boy opens next year!

This looks like a great ride, I'll be flying to ride this in the upcoming season. All I can say is though about Millennium Force, when I rode it for the first time, it was one of the greatest rides I've ever ridden. And if this is the one that FINALLY dethrones it, some people believe it already has, but to the general mass it's still the best, the fact it would take 15 years to dethrone it, it'll still be the King in my book because of how long it's lasted as the best.

Whether it will be better than Millennium Force or not, the layout already looks more promising than Trimviathan. It will be a fun ride for sure, just don't set the expectation too high. B&M still proved they can go forceful on Banshee and Parrot Coaster.

Or Millennium Force just isn't that good to begin with...

Frankly, I think I305 has already taken MF's crown. Fury will most likely be on far with MF, but not close to I305. Fury will no doubt be a top 10 coaster this year

Leviathan's trims are barely used.

^I noticed that too. It does not look like it is holding much, it is probably just a temporary support for construction.

The top piece looks all smooth and perfectly in place now:

It's not in the animation and I do hope it either is temporary or they will paint it white.

Anyway, the ride looks great.

This ride seems very similar to Leviathan... which is awesome but rarely referred to as being better than MF, and while I hate to judge a ride before riding it and while I think this ride is going to be amazing, I have a hard time believing any modern B&M coaster will be anywhere near as good as Millennium Force.

That's just my opinion and I've been wrong before so I'll wait to ride it before making the call, but the important thing isn't the ranking... it's that this coaster will be awesome and I can't wait to ride it.

I honestly don't know. I mean, it's just as long as MF, the drop is just as steep, it has a more or less the same amount of overbanks and the same number of airtime hills (and don't forget the trains which, in my opinion, are better) Of course we don't know how it will ride but I'm just saying it could very well be as good as/better than MF.

They will probably multitask instead of focusing on one piece of track at a time so everything will go by slower but they will get more done. At the end, the coaster would probably be done faster if they multitasked than if they did one piece of track at a time.

I actually never noticed the grey support in any of the older pictures. But I went back few pages and I found the same grey support.

My take just off of observations alone, the elements and pacing appear to be tighter on Fury then it does on Leviathan. Personally I think Leviathan looks relatively uneventful despite its size, but for Fury, to me at least, I think there will be a greater sense of speed, the ride ends less abruptly, and those little bumps of air give a bit of spice and variety to the ride.

Dont know if it will be better then MF and I highly doubt it will even come close to i305 based off my experience with it and other B&M hypers, but it should be a solid coaster and should compliment Intimidator nicely.

^It really sucks having the park with the first B&M Giga because then in a few years they are already making a better B&M Giga then the previous one. Not that I am complaining or anything because having a Giga especially a B&M Giga is awesome!

About the temporary support: I305 also had one, albeit in a different position, but had one for the lift during its construction. It was removed when the piece similar to the keystone was added(the apex piece, think vaults and archways). Picture here!rcdb.com/4520.htm#p=24461

That one in the bottom left! Even though its different location, and company, I think this shows that its just a required step when building these newer style lifts with far fewer supports than yesteryear.

I personally thought MF and Leviathan are on par with each other (hence, they are tied for my #1 steel). This is going to be a great ride, and I hope they do a media event like GateKeeper and Banshee. Can't wait to ride this next year!

I think that is the general consensus among enthusiasts, when you look at the Mitch steel poll.

Leviathan 13

Millenium Force 14

And I've never heard of Leviathan having strong trims before until this thread.

Life sucks, doesn't it?

Cedar Point had the first giga period and in my opinion it still hasn't been topped.
