Big Mike
I have never declared anything or even bought anything in Canada.  I think I am being blackflagged because they think I am wierd or suspicious for tarveling alone intoo Canada all by myslef just to go to an amusement park. Thats what they told me both times.  Whatever, I planned extra time into it this time and cut my down time by more than half by locking out my computer and hiding my camera. They did search through my cd player in the car and took all the cds out of it. Plus I had a lot of junk in the trunk.  Next time no cd's and nothing in the trunk, and I can get out even quicker!   Thanks Joe, always nice to hear your take on things  I did have all those bikini shots on there, I am glad I did not have to explain that! It would have been interesting.   Peace, Big Mike

Thats what they told me both times. Â That's strange, I cross into the US all the time with that exact same reason and they don't even look at me twice. Â Maybe you do just have bad luck. Although it's hard to tell without being there and hearing/seeing how you deal with the agent. Â Although it is luck of the draw, and sometime's you'll get a prick. Last year crossing at Niagara to go to MFI with Jer,Nikki, and Tom (in the car behind me) was the one time I got hassled, and it was just because the guy was an ass. OldJJman
I think I am being blackflagged because they think I am wierd or suspicious for tarveling alone intoo Canada all by myslef just to go to an amusement park. Â Spell-check Mike, Spell-Check. Â Â Actually, I totally believe this. When Sean and I did our second trip of 19 parks in 7 days going through PA, NY, and Canada in 2004 (the other trip being in Ca.), we basically had our rental car stripped when we mentioned that we were going to La Ronde that day, CW the next and coming back through Niagra Falls. It took about 90 minutes for those clowns to keep checking the car, and our luggage. Â Coming back into the US over the "Rainbow" bridge (we were told that this was the easiest way back) even the US customs agent started to give us some crap, until we told him we were heading to MFI (which he never heard of) Waldameer, and Seabreeze. He then believed us when we mentioned that the following day we'd end up at CP to finish our trip on TTD. He had been to CP before and wondered if their newest coaster really went 200mph and was really 500' high! Â On the flip side of the country, I had NO problems getting into BC on the way to Vancouver. I had a tip about going up the truck route, instead of using I-5. (Truck route turnoff is about 5 miles from the border.) I just waved my passport, said I was going to Vancouver and was waved through. Coming back, same thing. Waved my passport, "Welcome Home" and was waved through. Go figure.
packfanlv
^That Vancouver crossing (truck exit) was the worst of the three border crossing into Canada I did last year. The guy searched our car up and down because it was the third time we had crossed into Canada in a little over a month. We also had a small delay in Niagara Falls. Â The easiest crossings we had were in Vermont (coming back into the US) and Maine (going into Quebec) where there were no lines and the agents didn't ask any questions at all, but they were both a bit out of the way for going to amusement parks! Big Mike
Hello my friends!! Â Here is a quick trip report on the first two parks The Big Mike Road Show 2008 visited this Memorial Day weekend. Â The stops were Jiminy Peak in Massachusetts and Jeepers in Albany New York. As always, The Big Mike Road Show started the day at Big Mike Production World Headquarters in New Jersey! 3 states in one morning. Â I hope you enjoy this brief trip report and the bigger parks are next to come! Â Â Peace, Big Mike It was Friday and I would have been sooooo all over this offer for $4 if I was not going to have my rematch vs. The Road Runner Coaster in the next hour! See how the rematch fared out on the next trip report!!! Peace, Big Mike Big Mike needs to fill space without any bikini pictures from now on. Python Pit, coaster #585 for Big Mike! They also have a blue light to light up these stickers. Look how close you get to the ceiling. Close enough for little kids to reach! Imagine Big Mike riding now. The special theming in Albany's Jeepers is this gum/sticker/hand print section on the ceiling! Figured I would take one action shot before I got on. Looks like the same exact coaster all the time, just the theming is different. I got my Jeepers card and was ready for another Python Pit! The Big Mike Road Show 2008 moved on to Jeepers Albany. A cool twist at the end too! Sadly, Big Mike missed opening day by one day. I will return on the Labor day trip this year. You wind your way down the mountain through the trees. How about that lift on the right? It looks longer than Millenium Force! The Mountain coaster is right next to an alpine slide also. Here are the instructions just in case you are a rookie. The person behind me does not have to worry about me being a slow poke, I will have it going full throttle! Here are some of the details on the Mountain Coaster. Big Mike arrives at Jimini Peak in MA ready to ride his first mountain coaster ever!
SharkTums
^Mike you're lucky you didn't stay for the All You Can Eat Pizza. I can't imagine the quality level is that high for $3.95!!! Â As for the Canada Crossings near Niagara Falls, I've always had really good luck with lines and not getting searched. But Cameron and Robb on the recent trip had a 2.5 hour line!!! All for about 13 seconds of questions, showing their passports, and continuing on!

That crossing is the worst Niagara crossing by far. Â Coming back on that monday the reported delays were Peace Bridge zero minutes, Rainbow zero minutes, Queenston three hours. Â That's pretty typical to have no waits at Buffalo/Niagara, and a huge line at Queenston.

pagemaster_b
Big Mike, Â You should check out the Alpine slides and Alpine coaster at Park City, Utah. A little bit expensive, but highly recommended. Â And speaking of Utah, have you been to Lagoon yet?
Big Mike
I have just returned to Big Mike Production World Headquarters!!! Â Let me answer some previous posts and we will get The Great Escape up tomorrow! Â PagemasterB - Concluding this years edition of The Big Mike Road Show 2008, Lagoon in Utah will be the #1 park on my list of parks that have the most coasters that I have not visited yet. Â I am hitting 8 out of my top 10 parks this year, with the other remaining one being Elitch in Denver. Â Â Larrygator - I thought that pizza was great! But then again, after a week of croquets, I was ready for anything different. Thanks again for the extra slice! Â Sharktums - I was just the opposite. I had no wait at all, drove right up to MANY empty lanes. I had my pick, and picked the wrong one I guess. So no wait at all for lines, but then questions and searching was long. Â Carnage - I have now crossed from Detroit, from Niagara Falls, and from NY State going to Montreal, ALL 3 have my wanted poster up I guess. Also, no I was not wearing The Official Big Mike Road Show 2008 T-shirt when I got questioned. Â Â Peace, Big Mike
IggyACE
I ran into the Bike Mike Road Show this weekend. First thing I said to Big Mike at The Great Escape was "Your not so big!" lol  I first stayed at The Great Escape till it got there and was amused at Big Mike begging kids to ride! ( Me and my kids already begged someone too!)  Then I spot this at Waldameer on Monday...   Mike it was great to meet and hang out with you this weekend!  Craig and the kids. Big Mike
Hey My Friends!!! Â The Big Mike Road Show 2008 continued it's Memorial Day Weekend trip with a stop at The Great Escape in Upstate New York! Â The highlights of the day were meeting fellow Mainland Europe tripper IggyAce and his two kids, meeting FlyingBob and his coaster riding partner Deb, and having my remtach against the Road Runner Express coaster which was the only coaster in 2007 that I got denied on. Â I hope you enjoy!!! Â Â Peace, Big Mike Craig checks off New York on The Official Big Mike Road Show T-Shirt as Gage squashes Big Mike like he is doing with our coaster counts! What a very cool family. Thanks for the fun! Peace, Big Mike Sylvan Beach and Martin's Fantasy Island next! See you at Dorney this Friday!! See Caitlyn, he was alive afterall! Caitlyn thought he may have been dead when we first saw him on the ground. Lets take a ride with Big Mike. Just like Angela from Philly who made her 1st post in The Big Mike Road Show, lets see if we can get FlyingBob to do the same!! The Big Mike Road Show = 1 big happy family!!! I waved bye to Bob and Deb and it was great meeting you, plus, enjoy your ride! Bob was with his coaster riding partner Deb! Why does my coaster riding partner live all the way in Belgium? FlyingBob recognized me from reading The Big Mike Road Show 2208!!! Another new friend! Here is some history for you. The Comet from up in the ferris wheel. The Comet! Big Mike's favorite coaster in the park. I like any rapids ride that has water cannons. The Steamin Demon, which does not have a sign for some reason, but now you don't have to see one more picture of Big Mike's mug! They also have a parade for the kids. Look Mark, more promotional work They have a nice and colorful Wiggles World for the kids. Lift hill shot. A look at one of the cars. Alpine Bobsled! Here we are on the ride. Time to relax on the log flume with Craig and Gage. Nightmare at Crack Axle Canyon, still standing but not operating! Theming! Canyon Blaster! One less coaster that Gage is squashing me by. It has a fancy new paint job and looked pretty sharp. It is like every other boomerang, with the exception that Gage does not have this one yet! Woo hoo Boomerang - Coast to Coaster! (Closed all day). Big Mike already had the credit and would not have ridden it again anyway. Coaster #586 for Big Mike, as well as some retribution and satisfaction for a hard working off season workout The winner... and newwwwwwwwww... champion of the world, The Mighty Big Man, Big Mike!!!!! (By knockout if you are concerned) The moment of truth! Will Big Mike be able to put the championship belt down onto his waist? Big Mike steps into the ring with his newly hired cutman in the car already. The rematch! In the red corner, defending champion..The Road Runner Express. In the Gold corner, the challenger, The new and improved Big Mike! I had to bow in their presense as I was not worthy to hang out with them. Gage already has squashed my coaster count! I couldn't wait to meet up with Craig (IggyAce) and his kids Caitlyn and Gage! The kids coaster counts are 500+ and 600+ respectively! Here are the prices if you don't have a Six Flags season pass like I do The park map showing a pretty good sized park. Look at the "you are here" and look how far I had to walk to get this picture for you This stop on The Big Mike Road Show 2008 is at The Great Escape!
