Your Park "To Do List"

Recommended Posts

^^ Didn't they just repaint American Eagle recently? You also got one of you wishes Deja Vu is long gone and never to return.

I would like to see these things happen at these parks.

SFGAM

Remove the trims on Raging Bull to make it Worthy of The top twenty spot it has.

Make Hurricane Harbor bigger so it can be an one whole day part of the park.

Repave the parking lot.

Repaint Batman The Ride to it's original colors, it looked much better.

Make food not so expensive.

Mount Olympus

Retrack Cyclops and Zeus.

Add millennium flyer's to Cyclops, Zeus, and Hades.

Make customer service much better.

Six Flags St. Louis

-Repaint Mr. Freeze, Batman, Ninja, and finish Screamin' Eagle's paint job.

-Add more trees towards the front of the park, including Hurricane Harbor. The back of the park is heavily wooded which is very nice during summer but the front of the park has absolutely no shade

-Add more trashcans in the parking lot. They are always to full and adding 20 to 30 trashcans could help greatly.

-Add air conditioning in Batman's que. It can get really hot inside the tunnel/station during the summer.

-Mr. Freeze has already been almost completely repainted as of last season, "finish it" would be a better suggestion.

-Agreed on the tree problem, though I never really noticed until you just said something.

-The parking lot situation is pretty bad. It was HORRIBLE last time I went, the lot looked like a giant pile of garbage, and they already have tons of trash cans there!

-Batman's queue HAS air conditioning, it just rarely works. "Fix it" would be a nice suggestion here.

Worlds of Fun

-Please turn off the trims on Mamba, the MCBR can't possibly need to be on that hard.

-Revamp the back section of the park by the coasters diner, adding some flats, more restaurants, and some more theming. It changes from Africa into a random path with nothing on it.

-Finish Timber Wolf re-track and get new trains for it. Heck, why not spend a couple mill. and COMPLETELY rehab the ride? (see Thunder Road).

-Repaint Boomerang and theme station. All that faded clashing neon needs to go. They could actually make Boomerang cool if it was themed a bit more.

-More fountains and other nice touches. The park is in the city of fountains, why not add a few more?

-Revamp "Camp Snoopy" or whatever it is now, add a few flats up there and get some stuff painted!

-Re-paint all flat rides.

If WOF did this stuff this off season (they could, they arent adding anything), the park would look WAY better and I might decide to actually go!

I really like this thread!!!

I agree. This is a fun thread. I'd like to start with something simple.

Knott's Berry Farm

Restore the Sky Jump

Bring back the Parachutes!!!!

Restore the Neon to the "K" on top of the Tower

Red and White Checkers again please!

California's Great America

Tear down the Grizzly and use that space for something worthwhile.

Repaint Top Gun to something other than black (Carowinds Top Gun)

Restore the Demon to it former glory, bring back the rocks and the Demon theme song!

Agreed to everything here!

-Tear down Borg! Most painful ride ever!

Better yet, bring it back to CGA where it was a good ride and replace the boring a$$ Boomerang Bay.

SFGAMRepave the parking lot.

I thought they just did this when they built HH in 2005.

Now for my thoughts.

SFMM

-Don't remove any more flats!

-Better food at the places over by Riddler.

-Repaint Batman to anything but that god awful yellow all the clones have.

-Actually use the space of Flashback & Psyclone instead of just leaving empty.

-Re track Colossus and restore the double-down.

SFDK

-For god's sake get rid of Kong.

-Nothing else.

Waterworld Concord

-Plant some trees, the park desperately needs them.

-Add some color to the slides. All white and faded blue is boring.

CGA (aside from what is stated above by others)

-Put something in to GL's old spot.

That's all for now.

Trimper's Rides

Add a new coaster or two and remove a few rides to make it less cluttered. They need something more than just a vekoma boomerang and Twin Toboggans.

Hersheypark

Get a new coaster (In which they are! ) But they need a kiddie coaster for the miniatures and kisses height mark.

Add a transport ride! The park has been without a good transport ride for 15 to 16 years! They really need something to get people back to midway america easier.

More flat rides! The Claw was the last new flat they added in 2003. The are getting Howler next year, but a new disk-o could be great or rock-in tug especially for the boardwalk area.

Dorney Park

A better sweeper crew and MORE TRASH CANS! When I went here last year, at closing the parking lot was filled with litter and trash even with the 10 trash cans per. square inch. Maybe it's just the people.

Knoebels

Another wooden coaster. Even though they already have 2 possibly 3 great coasters, if they add another one maybe similar to Voyage, that takes advantage to the forests that surround it, the park could make the park even better. Steel coasters becides HSTC could ruin the park's feel.

SFGADV

Even though I never went here, this is kind of what turns ne off when it come to this place.

Don't build the new batman wild mouse coaster. I can hardly imagine a themed wild mouse ride and I don't like the idea. They should've made it a shooting dark ride like Reese's Xtreme Cup Challenge.

Don't add a new coaster for a few years. They already have tons of coasters. They don't need another.

Dutch Wonderland

Since this is a family park, they could add maybe a family coaster or flat ride. This one could be a little taller than the Kingdom coaster or whatever they call it now.

This is just my opinion.

They might be able to improve the capacity of that ride by running it more efficiently. When I went to SFGAm last year they let single riders have their own cars, which is completely wasteful BS.

That occurs because, in 2006, SFGAm added a policy of only 3 adults per car. Apparently, with 4 adults per car, there was too great a chance of exceeding the manufacturer's weight limit per car.

^^ Didn't they just repaint American Eagle recently? You also got one of you wishes Deja Vu is long gone and never to return.

They only painted the blue catwalks and red handrails. They never touched the white, and it looks like #&%@.

I didn't want them to take out Deja Vu, I'm just saying, now that it is dead, put something else there.

Beech Bend could do some work on the Looping Star. The brakes haven't been stopping the train in the correct place, and they are currently only filling up the first 2 cars.

Knott's...

1.) Theme Pony Express, place roof over western stage under Silver Bullet, new OTSR's for Perilous Plunge, dark ride shooter for KOD bldg.

2.) SFMM - steel beam Colosuss, work on food quality/price/variety, invest in more a/c or fans in "q's", begin removal of Metro if it cannot be repurposed into a different attraction, develop plan to bring in alternative attractions to park (example, sim rides that are idle at other parks could rotate to SFMM), buy DCA's Maliboomer, install in Freefall's place.

3.) Universal - close Backdraft in current form, look at how to make static attractions like T2 into evolving attractions, tear down walk through snooze maze (House of Horrors) turn into dark ride, use vacant western stunt show stage for original attraction.

With Paramount now pretty much gone from all of the CF parks, the re-naming of attractions needs to be looked at in some spots. We've been hearing things such as Italian Job being re-christened "Backlot Stunt Coaster" That's the best they can do?!

On the other hand, I've heard that rides like Tomb Raider: The Ride may become "The Crypt", which sounds great.

By the way, we were at Great Wolf Lodge @ KI last week and noticed the old Paramount marquee is gone. Don't know how long that's been the case, but I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing a new sign soon.

^Chadley, Backlot Stunt Coaster is a LOT better than what Movie Park Germany did to Lethal Weapon Pursuit (now removed).

http://www.rcdb.com/id970.htm

"Cop Car Chase," just be grateful CF has a better taste in names.

Oh yeah! I'd forgotten all about "Cop Car Chase". That is pretty much one of top three worst name changes ever. Plus, I guess for CF, it would require them dumping little money into the changeover.

But if TR:TR does become "The Crypt"...that would great!

But PTC has introduced new MFlyer-ish trains, which you can expect to be showing up on TGG coasters fairly soon.

Sorry to get off topic, but does anyone know why Waldameer backed out of the new trains?

SFKK

Repaint T2

Retrack Thunder Run

Lower Locker Prices

New Flat Ride since Quake, Chaos, Superman: Tower of Power, (and now prehapes even the Rainbow) have recently been removed

Add an Indoor Dark Ride

Fix or just try to clean the snow-caped mountain scenery things at the beginning of the Penguin's Blizzard River which are rusting, dirty, and fading

Although it was greatly improved upon this past season, more landscaping can't hurt

Holiday World

New Flat Rides (maybe a Disko or a Huss Frisbee)

Longer Splashin Safari hours

All Parks

Sell Coke. Except Family Kingdom. They deserve generic cola.

Knoebels

Finish the Flying Turns. Seriously.

Islands of Adventure

Abandon Harry Potter in favor of an S+M themed area

Universal Studios Orlando

Don't water down the drinks so much during HHN. Make the $9 worth it. Sell Sam Adams at more than one stand.

Holiday World

Close.

Sell Coke.

Better yet, give it away like Holiday World (even though it's Pepsi)

Islands of Adventure

Abandon Harry Potter in favor of an S+M themed area

Um... I know what comes to MY mind when I see "S+M"... is that what you were referring to? Most people these days use BDSM instead of S+M or S/m.

What rides would they put in that section (other than a Whip, LOL)

I agree with this. It should be illegal to sell Pepsi, unless you're running some sort of torture outlet.

Knoebels

Finish the Flying Turns. Seriously.

Yeah, this does indeed need to be finished.

Islands of Adventure

Abandon Harry Potter in favor of an S+M themed area

This goes along nicely with my in-park adult bookstore idea. My other suggestion for IOA is to return Mythos to its formor glory. Restore the awesome not dumb-downed menu, and return the full dessert menu.

Universal Studios Orlando

Don't water down the drinks so much during HHN. Make the $9 worth it. Sell Sam Adams at more than one stand.

You actually bought one of those $9 drinks?!? I passed.

My suggestion is a return of actual outdoor scare zones for HHN. One is NOT acceptable!

Holiday World

Close.

This might be the most awesome thing ever posted here. Or even on the internet. Joe rules!

Carowinds:

-Tear down or retrack Hurler. It severely needs it.

-Just go ahead and give Stealth it's old paint job back. (It will be that way in a few years anyways at the rate the paints chipping off.)

-Give us a Hyper!

-Tear apart Runaway Reptar and make something useful out of the scraps.

-Instead of having two seperate wave pools, couldn't you combine them into just one big one?

-Give us some more "good" flats.

-And finally, make Drop Zone higher.

Though I respect everyone's opinion here.....

WHY WOULD YOU WANT HOLIDAY WORLD TO CLOSE?

I mean, I agree that The Raven is somewhat over-hyped, but there is no way to overlook these things:

-voyage

-free soft drinks

-Voyage

-Splashin' Safari

-VOYAGE!!!

SFMM

Their are a lot of things SFMM can do to greatly improve...

Make it so that they ride OP's can't have cell phones at their post. I saw one of them when I rode Goliath, I was actuly kind of afraid something might of happened.

Add maybe and intamin accelerator, kind of like Stormrunner.

Or if they can't do that, maybe a B&M Dive Machine.

Re-paint Scream's colors and put some trees and grass their. Also, change Scream's name.

Now with X2 on the way, theme X2 with kind a Sci-fi theme. I always thought that would be a good idea.

Deffenently make more sit-down resturants.

Demolish DEJA VU! That way, they would have a lot of room for a new coaster with DeJa Vu's empty lot and Psyclone's empty lot.

Remove the OTSR on Revolution. Maybe even go as far as closing it for awhile to get the rust off and FULLY re-paint Revolution.

Theme Goliath and Colossus more. At least some grass. Maybe a castle/mideivel theme to Goliath.

Worlds Of Fun

- Its time to let Timberwolf go. The retracking project didn't help this year. I realize it wasn't a large amount of retracking, but the ride still gave me a headache for the rest of the day.

- find a way to reduce the trims on Mamba. The bunny hops at the end could be so much better if the MCBR didn't bring the train to pretty much a complete stop.

- Add another good flat or 2. The only flats worth riding are Detonator, Zulu, and Tomahawk. Lets add a frisbee or screaming swing or something.

- Do something with the area behind Zulu that used to house the waterslides.
