FeelTheFORCE
I see, well that's why I asked, because I was unsure, thanks for clearing that up. So how about that season pass?!
jamesdillaman
I'm happy to see how cheap it is. For that price even I might get one, as I could make the 4 and a half hour drive a few times a year and get my money's worth. The food's almost worth it alone! Kennyweird
So Kennywood's going to offer season passes next year. Perhaps I'll get one.
philthephorce
I'll probably get one. I'm utterly lacking in photos of the park, so a season pass would be a good way to just hang out for short periods on random days and snap away.
kennywood!007
I can't wait to get one.
EastCoastn07
Although there's been no official announcement as to what the park will be receiving for the 2009 season, some regular park visitors spotted some lime green Morgan track behind the abandoned K-Mart building near the park. From what I've heard, the park is replacing all the Arrow track from the crest of the lift hill to the small portion of the second drop which is still Arrow. There's also been some talk that the length of the straightaway might be shortened and the degree of the approach lessened, but like I said nothing has been confirmed for sure yet. All we have is this picture of the track. http://www.majhost.com/gallery/AML402/mylocalthemepark/coastertrackkw101808.jpg There's also some other chatter about some other changes coming to the park, such as a return of an old favorite ride, but nothing has been confirmed by the park yet. Vffreak07
I heard from my cousins best friend's aunt's sister in law that it could be something along the lines of: Hey it could happen . . .

andy_e219
The 'old favorite' would be the Baryn Kurve. The Wipeout is almost completly removed and it is roumored the Baryn Kurve may return to its former spot.
EastCoastn07
Yes, the Bayurns Kurve cars have been receiving rehab throughout the summer and there was some talk that it would be rebuilt at one of the Kennywood Entertainment parks this season. Although it's not completely confirmed, there is a good chance it will reappear at Kennywood next season.
FeelTheFORCE
Either that or the Swing Around. I am leaning towards Bayern Kurve though. Could the Phantom modifications explain these markings, or do they mean something else? Pictures taken from Kennyweird's Kennywood Photo TR. Myself
I took that photo of the track! Seeing someone else use it makes me feel...famous.
andy_e219
I heard those markings were for some sort of new que lines thay will be installing next season.
EastCoastn07
If its for a queue line, why would the markings say: "secondary bank". Also, why would they need new queue lines when the line rarely makes it down the ramp, even on the most busiest of days? That doesn't make too much sense. Kennyweird
Myself, you should submit that track picture to Screamscape, if you haven't already done so. Yay, someone used my Photo TR as an example, now I feel famous as well. New track! Yay, smoothness!
Wood Dragon 1988
Anything to improve an already great coaster is a welcomed sight! The BEST thing they could do is extend the series of bunny-hops at the end to make it a little longer. Those hops are great, but extremely short. However, redoing the first drop and part of the second seems like a logical choice. The first drop is the only part of the ride that is border-line rough IMO. Although most of the ride's Arrowness will be gone if this is true, that is not neccessarily a bad thing
awclark
hey, the "secondary bank" could always be something like this... Hey, I can dream right?
FeelTheFORCE
We can't answer this now because we don't know exactly what they are doing, but the ultimate question is if this will count as a new credit or not.
Cyber.Fiber
There's also been some talk that the length of the straightaway might be shortened and the degree of the approach lessened I believe that the "Second Bank" markings may refer to the bottom of the first drop. Smoothing out the bottom of the first drop along with re-banking the bottom of it would position it right over those markings.

Nah. Ask EBL if he counts Colossus at SFMM as different credits for each time it was retracked/reprofiled.
DenDen
Odd little tidbit, the original plans for that straight-away was that Morgan was going to put a bunny-hopper in there, but then it was scrapped, noting that the speed would be reduced, and KW didn't want that. Wonder if they're actually going to put this in after all, since the speed wars are pretty much over in this type of a coaster. Just a thought. Those markings have been sitting there since the beginning of the season and are now heavily faded. I sincerely doubt they have anything to do with the re-tracking.
